目的：观察桃红四物汤联合尿激酶球旁注射治疗玻璃体积血的临床效果。方法：31例(31只眼)外伤性玻璃体积血患服用桃红四物汤加味，联合应用尿激酶球旁注射治疗。结果：经过平均24天治疗后，31例患原玻璃体积血均全部或大部分吸收。结论：桃红四物汤加味联合尿饯酶球旁注射是治疗外伤性玻璃体积血的有效方法之一。     

推拿牵引治疗外伤性腰椎间盘突出症73例

对外伤性腰椎间盘突出症的治疗,方法颇多,但疗效不一。如何提高治疗效果,人们把它作为一项重要课题进行了长期研究,作者运用推拿结合牵引治疗７３例,总有效率为８９．４％,平均２．３个疗程,认为该疗法具有操作稳巧、疗程短、疗效佳的特点,具有临床应用及推广价值。     

Are parents at a higher risk for secondary traumatic stress?: How interviewing child victims impacts relationships with forensic interviewer’s friends and family

BackgroundForensic interviewers are at a heightened risk for secondary traumatic stress (STS) due to their frequent interactions with victims of child maltreatment (Bonach & Heckert, 2012). To date, however, few studies have examined the negative effects of this work on interviewers’ social and emotional well-being.ObjectiveThe present study seeks to explore the effect of STS on the relationships of forensic interviewers, including those with friends, family, and their respective children.Participants and settingData are derived from a sample of 367 forensic interviewers (FIs) recruited from across the United States.MethodsThe current study used a cross-sectional research design to obtain qualitative and quantitative data from an online survey of certified forensic interviewers.ResultsPersonal-level predictors of STS included interviewers’ sex (β = 0.11, p = 0.02), trauma history (β = 0.13, p = 0.004), and frequency of socializing with family members outside of work (β = -0.12, p = 0.01). Work-related predictors included the frequency of direct (β = 0.10, p = 0.04) and indirect exposures to graphic details of child maltreatment (β = 0.09, p = 0.05), burnout (β = 0.58, p = 0.000), and years of experience investigating crimes against children (β = 0.10, p = 0.03). Factors such as parental status and external social support were not significantly associated with STS in the qualitative analysis.ConclusionsForensic interviewers experience both positive and negative effects of exposure to crimes against children, with work-related factors being particularly impactful on the potential for STS.

Remembering the atrocities of their ancestral lands: reading Korean American “comfort women” novels in Japan

ABSTRACT

This paper examines the significance of reading two Korean American novels which address the issue of Japanese military sexual slavery (known as the “comfort women” system) in the context of Japan: Nora Okja Keller’s Comfort Woman and Chang-rae Lee’s A Gesture Life. I will explore how this act can facilitate the understanding of the militarized sexual violence in the present social and discursive context of Japan, where the issue suffers from a strong backlash. Lee’s A Gesture Life with its critique of multiple militarized imperialisms challenges the Japanese revisionists’ effort to deny the egregious wrongs of Japan’s military sexual slavery; it also responds to popular criticism in Japan that Korean/Americans disregard the practices of Western imperial and military violence and only condemn Japanese war crimes. The paper in turn also reads Keller’s Comfort Woman through the frame of Joy Kogawa’s Obasan, a Japanese Canadian novel which remembers the internment and U.S. atomic bombing of Nagasaki. My aim here is to examine both the risks and possibilities which this reading can generate. While it can help us see the comparable acts of remembering war sufferings from the standpoint of diasporas, it can also erase the non-equivalence between the two histories.     

Former teachers’ and pupils’ autobiographical accounts of punishment in Italian rural primary schools during Fascism

Despite the prohibition on punishment in the form of emotional, psychological and physical abuse under the Fascist school regulations, it was common – particularly in Italian rural classrooms – for the purpose of managing and disciplining students. Sticks, ‘chickpeas’ or ‘donkey desks’ represent just a few examples of the methods frequently used by teachers to control unruly pupils. These punishments are often recalled by teachers and students in several published and unpublished discourses. This essay, by viewing such memoirs retrospectively, aims to provide a new understanding of the disciplinary practices carried out during 1920–1940 within Fascist Italian schools located in two different rural areas and to investigate the ways in which teachers and pupils look back on this particular aspect of their past.

Through the lens of history: The effects of beliefs about historical victimization on responses to refugees

In societies with collective memories of their group’s historical victimization, perceptions of this victimization are linked to attitudes and behaviors towards present-day victim groups such as refugees. We examine this idea in the Hungarian context, where collective memories of historical victimization include the fate of Hungarian refugees in 1956. In surveys among two Hungarian community samples, we find support for the hypothesis that exclusive regional victim consciousness predicts support for anti-refugee policies, while inclusive regional victim consciousness predicts support for pro-refugee policies. In Study 2, we replicate and extend these findings with a novel measure of event-specific victim consciousness (i.e., historical analogies between the two refugee situations). We show that event-specific victim consciousness mediates the effects of regional victim consciousness on attitudes towards refugees, and predicts prosocial behavior towards refugees.
