This study assessed perceptions of self‐efficacy and successful intelligence among 220 Chinese prospective and in‐service secondary school teachers in Hong Kong. Teacher self‐efficacy in six domains – teaching highly able learners, classroom management, guidance and counselling, student engagement, teaching to accommodate diversity, and teaching for enriched learning – was related to the three triarchic dimensions (analytical, creative, and practical) of successful intelligence. Each of the three triarchic abilities was found to contribute independently and in combination to the prediction of the six domains of teacher self‐efficacy. Practical abilities were the most significant predictor of self‐efficacy beliefs in five domains. Teaching teachers for successful intelligence, in strategies to enhance teacher self‐efficacy, is discussed. 相似文献

This study examines how teachers actually cope with behavioural problems of included students. In order to understand the impact of individual differences on teachers' coping strategies, the authors looked at the relationship between these strategies and teachers' democratic beliefs and self‐efficacy. Participants were 33 teachers in Israel, who teach inclusive classes (1st–3rd grade). Data were collected through classroom observations, teacher interviews and questionnaires. In the interviews, teachers reported that they preferred helpful strategies as a solution to behavioural problems; however, classroom observation revealed that teachers actually used more restrictive responses. These results indicated that there is a gap between teachers' hypothetical knowledge and their applications of this knowledge in authentic classroom situations. In addition, positive correlations were found between teachers' democratic beliefs, teacher efficacy and the use of helpful strategies in regard to different behavioural problems. Practical implications for teacher education are discussed. 相似文献

An important concern when planning research studies is to obtain maximum precision of an estimate of a treatment effect given a budget constraint. When research designs have a multilevel or hierarchical structure changes in sample size at different levels of the design will impact precision differently. Furthermore, there will typically be differential costs of enrolling additional units at different levels of the hierarchy. The optimal design problem in multilevel research studies involves determining the optimal sample size at each level of the design given specified design parameters and a specified marginal cost of recruitment at each level. 用紫外线以不同时间处理小麦条锈菌水源致病类型1-4、条中29-3、条中23-2,当夏孢子致死率达90%左右时,确定为最适诱变时间分别为12、8、5min.以紫外线12min处理水源致病类型1时,经6批次筛选未获得突变体.以8 min处理条中29-3,得到在Hybrid46上表现3型的菌系,在尤皮Ⅱ号上表现4型的菌系和在阿夫上表现2型的菌系,分别命名Hybrid46菌系、尤Ⅱ菌系和阿夫菌系,三菌系经4代转接该品种,最后获得2个稳定的突变菌系,包括毒性突变产生的尤Ⅱ菌系和非毒性突变产生的阿夫菌系.以5 min处理条中23-2得到两个突变菌系:在尤皮Ⅱ号上表现3型的菌系和在水源11上表现2型的菌系,分别命名为尤Ⅱ-23菌系和水源11菌系,其中尤Ⅱ-23菌系经4次转接仍保持毒性. 相似文献

Throughout the 19th century, the discourse on idiocy was among the most substantial and celebrated fields of knowledge about human nature; yet it is mostly forgotten or ignored by scholars today. Once science could identify the truly retarded individual from within the confused concept of idiocy, it is thought, these subjects could finally be treated separately and more humanely. But looking back at the early discourse on idiocy reveals a rational knowledge of the subject built on a very different intelligibility from our own. Indeed, until modern times, idiocy was actually considered a form of madness, and it was only through the emergence of a new intelligibility of the body—based on the idea of development—that the concept of retardation could emerge. Rather than through medical or humanistic advance, it was first through the emergence of the normalizing technologies of the hospitals and schools that society would find new reasons and means for dealing with these ‘recalcitrant’ figures who were unwilling or unable to conform to the requirements and goals of the institutional disciplines. A new intelligibility of the idiot based on new disciplinary technologies would provide the basis not only for the mentally retarded subject, but eventually for all of the behavioral disorders of childhood. This article will be of interest to scholars and educators interested in the history of the modern developmental subject, pedagogy, and the appearance of the norm in constructing knowledge of the subject and the ordering of behaviors. 相似文献

Research in attribution theory has almost exclusively focused on the perception process to the neglect of studying how communicators incorporate attribution‐based information in their message behavior. This study derived a typology of attribution‐based strategies from Kelley's attribution cube and Jones' ingratiation tactics to assess respondent strategies for initiating and for terminating same‐sex friendships. Respondents were 191 persons drawn from fifth grade, high school, college, and post‐college groups. Results of the study included: 1) distinctiveness information was disproportionately employed in the strategy repertoires to the neglect of consistency‐based and consensus‐based information; 2) respondents had greater variety in types of strategies for their initiation repertoires as opposed to their termination repertoires; 3) repertoire variety for both initiation and termination increased from childhood through adolescence. 相似文献

Influence of different surface treatments of H13 hot work die steel on its thermal fatigue behaviors 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Thermal fatigue checking is general failure of hot work die steels,which is relative with the structures and properties of the steels and the stress alternated during the employment.The Uddeholm test method on thermal fatigue is used to compare the behaviors of different samples,which are treated with plasma nitriding 、plasma sulfur-carbon-nitriding、boronizing or not treated.The results show that the nitriding improves the thermal fatigue property of the tool steel,while the plasma sulfur-carbon-nitriding and the boronizing impair the property.The mechanisms are induced as follows .By increasing the hardness and changing the stress distribution in the surface layer,surface treatment can decrease the plastic deformation and the temsile stress during the cycling.Therefore,the generation and growth of the cracks are restrained.On the other hand,as results of surface treating,in the surface layer the toughness declines and the expanding coefficient ascendes;the latter change caused the strengthening of the tensile and compressive stress during the cycling.Thus the resistance to thermal fatigue is weakened.Whether or not the surface treatment is favor to thermal fatigue of tool steels relies on which factor is dominant. 相似文献
