高数课程中内容扩展时的更新问题

在高等数学课程中,从平面解析几何扩展到空间解析几何,从一元微积分扩展到多元微积分时,既有量的直接扩展,又全面存在着质的变化,对许多概念、命题、方法需要重新审视,进行改造和更新。就高数课程中多元函数微积分教学的基本思路,笔者进行了一些分析、探讨。     

Orphans Adopted Eighty-Nine Years after Conception,or, Cataloging Updating Loose-Leaf Publications

Until the 2002 revision to AACR2 was adopted, cataloging rules for updating loose-leaf publications were orphans—they were excluded from previous Anglo–American rule compilations. To offer guidance to catalogers, over the years the Library of Congress issued a series of rule interpretations and supplemental resources outlining best practices and rules for cataloging loose-leafs. This article chronicles the publication, or lack of practical publication, of cataloging rules for updating loose-leafs and the impact on libraries. Also included is a review of the various organizations instrumental in garnering support for the creation and acceptance of a new paradigm and standards and concepts that would ensure the inclusion of cataloging rules for updating resources. Finally, the impacts on libraries and cooperative organizations resulting from the implementation of the new rules are examined.     

Feasibility of eyes open alpha power training for mental enhancement in elite gymnasts

Abstract

This study focuses on a novel, easy to use and instruction-less method for mental training in athletes. Previous findings suggest that particular mental capacities are needed for achieving peak performance; including attentional control, focus, relaxation and positive affect. Electroencephalography (EEG) alpha brain activity has been associated with neural inhibition during processes of selective attention, for improving efficiency in information processing. Here we hypothesised that eyes open alpha power training by music teaches athletes to (1) learn to self-regulate their brain activity, and (2) learn to increase their baseline alpha power, herewith improving mental capacities such as focusing the allocation of attention. The study was double-blind and placebo-controlled. Twelve elite gymnasts were either given eyes open alpha power training or random beta power training (controls). Results indicate small improvements in sleep quality, mental and physical shape. In our first attempt at getting a grip on mental capacities in athletes, we think this novel training method can be promising. Because gymnastics is one of the most mentally demanding sports, we value even small benefits for the athlete and consider them indicative for future research.     

增量式关键资源页面判定树

本文针对互联网上信息的日益海量增长的情况,在评述前期算法的基础上,提出了一种关键资源页面判定树的增量式更新算法.新算法使用Web页面的链接分析方法,选择合适的Web页面属性,并基于反例的统计信息来构造判定树的测试属性值,采用ID5R算法来处理训练样本不断增长的关键资源页面判定的机器学习任务.同时设计了适合于该算法的剪枝策略,它通过引入并实时更新反例样本比率并在其值低于抑制因子时停止分裂的办法,避免了树的过度增长与抗嗓能力差、泛化情况糟糕的情况.实验表明增量式更新算法能更高效地生成关键资源页面判定树.最后讨论了该算法的应用领域.

培养和提高理工科院校非英语专业大学生的翻译能力具有非常重要的现实意义。针对目前非英语专业大学生翻译能力的培养在实际大学英语教学中被边缘化的现状,文章呼吁要更新传统教学理念,重视和关注理工科学生翻译能力的培养,并结合自己的教学实践提出了具有操作性的改进建议。

RK方程的系数随温度变化对氧气热力学性质的影响

用热力学方法,应用实验结果研究了RK方程中RK系数随温度改变及其对氧气的内能、焓等热力学性质和摩尔热容量之差的影响。结果表明,氧气的状态应当用实际气体的状态方程例如RK方程描述,不同温度下的采用相应的RK系数才能更加符合实际;当温度很低例如低于临界温度时,两种不同的RK系数导致的相关结果相差很大;当温度高于300K时,两种不同的RK系数导致的相关结果的差异可忽略不计。

运用格拉布斯、因子分析、多元回归分析和灰色关联分析等方法,对刘翔、史冬鹏等31名我国优秀男子110 m栏运动员运动素质指标进行分析,确定我国优秀男子110 m栏运动员运动素质指标体系由速度、专项速度、速度耐力、速度力量、力量5个层面和12栏跨栏跑>60 m起动计时>110 m起跑计时>起跑至第1栏时间>起跑至第5栏时间>100 m跨步跳>深蹲7个要素构成。并建立起我国优秀男子110 m栏运动员专项运动成绩的预测模型。     

新课程的教学改革:成绩、问题与反思(上)

国家新一轮基础教育课程改革是一场由课程教材改革牵动出来的中国基础教育的全面的整体的改革。新课程教学改革工作取得了实质性的阶段性进展。与此同时，教学改革工作中还存在一些问题，我们必须进行反思，并将教学改革工作持续深化下去。课程改革工作必须思考以下问题：发挥理论的引领作用；积极推进以校为本的教学研究制度建设；全方位推进教师专业化成长；加快推进考试评价改革的步伐。
