“竹帘”背后的中国——1949-1971年《时代》周刊的中国报道评析

1949.10.1-1971.4.9《时代》周刊的报道中所呈现的中国,是一个极度负面的＂风雨飘摇的邪恶帝国＂的形象,这一形象与中国的实际情况相距较远,其报道存在比较明显的不准确和片面的成分。导致这一时期《时代》周刊对中国的报道不太客观公正的原因主要有二：一是其持有强烈的＂反共主义＂意识形态;二是其将中国视为严重威胁美国国家利益的敌人。     

影响学生英语学习动机的教师言语亲近行为研究——对宁波某高职英语教师Jane的个案研究

在二语学习的课堂中,有效的师生沟通有助于建立更亲近的师生关系,更有效地促进学生参与学习活动。本研究旨在从教师和学生两个角度调查教师主要的言语亲近行为以及这些行为如何对高职学生英语学习动机和学习成绩产生作用。在此基础上,本文提出了教师应该如何改进自己的行为以助于提高学生英语学习动机的建议。     

我国平面媒体冬奥会新闻报道的可持续发展对策研究

为增强我国平面媒体对冬奥会的新闻报道力度,拓宽报道领域,提高报道质量,推动冬季项目的高水平发展,运用问卷调查法、专家访谈法、内容分析法,归纳、总结我国平面媒体冬奥会新闻报道现状。在对报道中存在的问题进行深入分析基础上提出可持续发展对策,为我国平面媒体冬奥会新闻报道的发展提供理论依据。     

Effects of Method of Subject Selection (Volunteer vs Random) and Treatment Variable on Motor Performance

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test for possible interaction effects between method of subject selection (volunteer vs random) and a selected treatment variable—verbal encouragement. The presence of such an interaction would suggest that generalizations regarding verbal encouragement could be made only to specific subject populations. Volunteer (n = 40) and randomly selected (n = 40) subjects were randomly assigned to either a verbal encouragement condition or to a control group with no verbal encouragement. Dependent variables were a tapping task and a leg lift task. It was predicted that volunteer subjects, due to their higher need for approval and greater desire to accommodate, would perform significantly better under the verbal encouragement condition than would the randomly selected subjects. Multivariate and univariate data analyses indicated that the prediction was supported on the tapping task (female subjects only) but not on the leg lift task. It was concluded, at least on certain tasks, that use of volunteer subjects may result in a selection bias × treatment interaction effect that could limit the generalizability of research results.

及物性系统是功能语法中经验功能的重要组成部分,在小句的描述和分析中有重要作用。在M.A.K.Halliday系统功能语法的框架下,通过对两则新闻报道的及物性系统,即对其过程类型、参与者和环境成分方面进行对比分析,可以明确及物性系统在新闻语篇分析中的应用,展示出新闻语篇在语言运用上的基本特点并对不同的新闻语篇作出评价,从而进一步证明系统功能语法在语篇分析中的可操作性。     

手机短信中“包袱”生成的语言模因理据

在手机短信中,"包袱"是创造幽默效果的一种重要技巧,而它的形成与语言模因变异有着密切的关系。本文从语言模因论的视角出发,分别从语音、词汇和语篇三个层面的模因变异探究手机短信"包袱"的生成,研究发现语言模因论对于手机短信中"包袱"的生成具有很强的解释力。     

非语言交际在英语课堂教学中的应用

交际过程中的非语言信息不仅可以增强语言交际的力度,促进交际全过程的完整性而且还能弥补语言交际的不足,达到语言交际难以取得的效果。英语教学作为一种语言教学,教师在使用课堂语言的同时,有必要充分重视语言交际手段之外的非语言交际手段的使用,把它渗入到平时的语言教学中,创造出良好的课堂教学环境。     

Variability in children’s early reading strategies

The present study examines the development of sight word reading in young children by examining changes in their self‐reported reading strategies over time. A sample of 65 five to seven year olds were asked to read 40 real word items, all carefully matched for letter length and word frequency, on three separate occasions. Changes in the children’s word identifications were measured using immediately retrospective verbal self‐reports. Overall, the results showed some variability in the children’s self‐reported reading strategies. Over time the children relied less on phonological strategies and moved towards reliance on directly retrieving words from memory. This change was most evident in the older children; while both year groups showed similar patterns of shifting reliance from explicit phonological strategies to retrieval, this shift was simply less frequent among the younger children. An analysis of word‐specific changes in reading strategies showed that the older children had a better sight vocabulary for more complex word items. These findings provide further support for Ehri’s mediated phase theory in explaining children’s development in learning to read.     

思想政治教育需要言语道德

为了使思想政治教育达到应有的效果,必须对言语行为加以更有效的规范与控制。特别是随着社会的发展,思想政治教育的环境也有了新的发展。对这些环境进行优化,除了依靠社会政治、经济与文化的发展进步以外,还需要从道德角度加以阐释和管理。另外,实现与强化思想政治教育的功能以及思想政治教育学科的发展,也都需要言语道德。     

A comparison of verbal output and receptivity in relation to attraction and communication satisfaction in interpersonal relationships

This study tested relationships among verbal output, behavioral receptivity, attraction, and communication satisfaction in a variety of longer and shorter term relationships of differing levels of liking. Two behaviorally referenced reports on others were developed to measure perceived behavioral output and perceived behavioral receptivity. The study tested hypotheses within the attraction paradigm. Results generally supported the notion of an important reinforcement value of high behavioral receptivity and moderate verbal output. Substantial proportions of highly verbal people appeared to be below average in receptivity.
