聋校高中语文课堂教学有效性缺失之问诊与矫治

聋校语文课堂教学中有效性的缺失一直是困扰特教工作者的首要问题。文章分析了聋校高中语文课堂教学中有效性缺失的情况,并有针对性地提出了实施有效教学的基本途径,以提高聋校高中语文的课堂教学效率。

从实战需要出发,针对航渡和登陆作战过程中的单兵水战生存问题,综述了新型单兵救生携行具的设计原理、浮力材料的漂浮功能、浮力分布设计、以及该装备在训练中的使用情况。     

运用主体式教育思想培养学生田径训练能力的教学实验

在学生是学习主体的教育思想指导下，对田径（十项全能）教学与训练过程，进行教学对比实验。该实验从总体设计、具体要求、主要措施等方面确立了学生的主体性，使学生的自主性、独特性、能动性与创造性得到了较好的发展。实验证明：实验组学生的田径训练能力得到培养，制订与实施训练计划的能力得到发展，实现目标率和运动成绩得到提高。同时，丰富了田径运动的教学方法与手段，提高了田径教学与训练的质量     

Multivariate prediction of academic performance by Hong Kong University students

Verbal intelligence, English-language skills, personality, and attitude scales were used as predictors of academic performance in 230 male and female arts students at the University of Hong Kong. A series of bivariate, multiple, and canonical correlation analyses were performed. The results showed that verbal intelligence and attitudes, excepting study orientation, were not predictive of performance. English-language skills had the most predictive value, accounting for about 10% of the variance of performance measures. Personality variables failed to predict performance when composite criterion measures (GPAs) were used; however, they proved to be of predictive value when results of individual academic subjects were used as criterion measures. The study points to the importance of using noncomposite criterion measures in prediction and of considering the cultural context of achievement.

当前,在我国东西部发展严重不平衡,劳动力市场严重分割,市场经济份额越来越大,劳动力流动限制越来越少的条件下,我国劳动力的流动基本上呈现出一种单向流动的特点,即从农村流向城市,从西部流向东部。这种流动态势造成了西部及广大农村地区教育投资效益的流失,拉大了城乡之间和东西部之间的差距,所以必须给这些地区以成本补偿。     

优秀教师基本特征的检视

优秀教师是圆满体现教育精神、有效实施优质教学、广受学生欢迎的教育工作者。但其具体的评判尺度与基本要素究竞是什么？至今众说纷纭，意见不一。笔者通过考察检视一些优秀教师的心智品质、专业素养与教育行为，认为其应当具有十个基本特征。判明厘清优秀教师的基本特征，对于提升教师的专业次层和生命形态，促进教育质量和学生发展，有着重要的理论意义和实践价值。

针对举重竞赛信息被分散采集、独立存储、难以综合利用的问题，提出了一种全新的现代化解决办法即建立多媒体举重竞赛信息系统，并就系统功能、设计思想、实现方法作了探讨，为举重技术训练、体型选材、技术选材提供高效的现代化手段，也为建立其它体育应用系统提供参考。     

"新课改"与高师学生教育科研素质培养

"新课改"的稳健推进需要教育科研型教师的支撑。这种新型教师的养成不是"教"出来的,而是高等师范院校对学生进行教育科研素质培养的结晶。本着"在学习中学会学习,在科研中学会科研"的理念,高等师范院校应大力发挥教育科研素质培养的资源优势,推进教育科研目标、管理、意识、阵地的全方位下移,并积极探索对学生教育科研素质培养的有效模式。同时,这些改革思路进入教育实践的过程,也就是教育科研回归实践、科研权利师生共同分享的过程。     

The role of stimulus salience in young children's ability to discriminate two-dimensional rotations: Reflections on a paradigm

Children's ability to discriminate reflections and rotations of visual stimuli was examined within the confines of a mental rotation task. It was hypothesized that success would be affected by both characteristics of the stimulus and by the subtlety of the discrimination required. Forty 3- to 4-year-old children were directed to mentally rotate a stimulus a given number of degrees and to discriminate the appearance of the rotated stimulus from among a set of alternatives. Four stimuli differing in the number of visual orientation cues were utilized across 24 trials. A significant effect was found for number of orientation cues, and data indicated the difficulty children experienced detecting reflections, a task which bears close resemblance to the yes/no option in prototypic rotation studies. Children were only successful with a limited range of stimuli when discrimination of a reflected foil was not required. Results are discussed in light of discrepant findings about children's kinetic imagery ability and the advisability of using this particular paradigm with young Children.
