志愿服务工作搭建新时期大学生思想政治教育工作新平台

在介绍新时期大学生思想政治教育面临问题的基础上,阐述了志愿服务在高等学校学生思想政治教育中的积极影响和平台作用,同时分析了大学生志愿服务现阶段面临的困难和问题,以及高等学校如何充分发挥自身优势、努力争取外部支持,从而加快完善大学生志愿服务体系。     

高校志愿者参与大型节事的动机研究——以2009世界集邮展览为例

高校志愿者参与大型节事的动机主要有理想奉献动机、自我提高动机、归属动机、走出常规动机、回报社会动机、社会责任动机、功利利益动机、消磨时光动机。其中,志愿者所处的年级及是否隶属于某个志愿者组织对志愿者参与动机没有影响,专业差别会导致志愿者在理想奉献动机上有显著差异,性别差异导致志愿者在理想奉献动机和自我提高动机上有显著差异,志愿者是否参与过其他志愿活动或是否有过志愿服务经历会导致志愿者在理想奉献动机、自我提高动机、走出常规动机、归属动机、回报社会动机、消磨时间动机上存在显著性差异。     

The Challenges and Opportunities of Sustaining Volunteer-Based Rural Libraries

ABSTRACT

In an era of rural service decline and population aging, some rural libraries rely on volunteers to keep them open within the community. This paper outlines the challenges of sustaining such volunteer-based rural libraries, drawing on a case study of a volunteer-based library in rural Ontario, Canada. Findings suggest that age of volunteers, volunteer participation, territoriality, branch polarization and the burden of volunteering present challenges in sustaining the volunteer program at the library, yet the library contributes to the community through community engagement, enabling aging in place and through economic development. The paper concludes with recommendations from the case study on how the sustain such a volunteer program.     

福建省残运会参赛者服务需求的现状调查分析

采用文献资料、访谈调查、综合分析法等方法,对福建省第六届残运会参赛者服务需求进行实证研究。结果表明:不同年龄、不同项群残疾参赛者存在着对安全服务需求程度最高的共同规律;不同区域间,不同区域间,南平参赛者在安全、情感服务需求程度最大,福州参赛者在生理、安全服务需求程度最小;不同性别中,男参赛者对生理、安全服务需求程度占较大的比重。     

社会化动员的发动与实施——从“北京车友应急志愿者总队”的工作谈起

本文阐述了社会动员发展的两个阶段,分析并提出了社会化动员目前所面临的问题,并从"北京车友应急志愿者总队"成立仪式的工作入手,从社会化动员的出发点、载体和技术支持三个方面来对社会化动员的发动与实施提出建议。     

Joining two social institutions to counter rural Alaskan child abuse

Change in social customs and institutions is usually a slow process. This seems particularly true in attitudes about child abuse. Two key elements for change are being utilized for child protection in a rural area of Alaska with a predominantly Caucasian population. First, application of an old church custom of "constructive gossip" by volunteers is changing this rural community attitude about children. Second, use of an innovative federal government health care delivery program has established this community's first obstetric and pediatric service. With the oil boom in Alaska, widespread family disruption with frequent child abuse and neglect has become commonplace. Despite the oil tax wealth, State of Alaska Child Protection Services are strained to keep up with family and community violence. Deliberate cooperation with local community, church and service organization leaders is helping keep up with child protection needs. The obstetric and pediatric specialists of the National Health Service Corps non-profit practice were co-leaders, along with community leaders, in starting a lay volunteer service called "Friends of Families." Working cooperatively with the state child protection office, 24 families have received assistance from parent aides of Friends of Families. The influence of these two key elements of change on rural community attitudes and institutions are described.
