Season of the Witch is one of the great productions with all these characteristics which were introduced during August around China.The story was told during the final historical period of the Crusades.The Crusades were a series of religious wars.The crusaders comprised military units from all over Western Europe.During 14th century Black Plague was threatened the Whole Europe.The Plague destroyed the Crusade and each town.People began to suspect some women which abused as witches should be take responsibilities.They put some women to death.The movie not only tell us a story,but lead us to find out lights from the dark world during the black age.

Publishing in Chains: Scholarly Serials,Supply Chains,and Certification

Paul Duguid discusses the role of brands in supply chains, specifically in publishing and academia. He explains how brands are important in controlling any supply chain, as well as why and when brands appear and become important. He concludes with a discussion of how the Internet has changed the branding of supply chains, including the publishing supply chain, and why supply chains continue to endure. Duguid's presentation was followed by a short question and answer period.

《国语》战争观初探

把战争看作“狂疾”,是《国语》对战争最深刻、最闪光的认识,是先秦战争观念中最可宝贵的遗产。《国语》认为,为政者在面对战争时,除了稳定的国内外环境外,还应该具备智谋、仁义和勇敢精神。战前充分准备,选择恰当的时机,并坚持严明的军纪,也是取得理想结果的重要条件。遵守礼法制度固然值得肯定,但一种适应时代需要、以己方利益最大化为目标的崭新战争观念正逐渐成为那个时代的主流。总之,《国语》中的战争观念体现出了礼法互融、兵刑交叉的特点,对当时以及后世掌军国大政者不无裨益。     

从“诗史”角度看吕本中的战乱诗

吕本中是两宋之交的著名诗人,在江西诗派乃至整个宋代诗坛都起到了承上启下的作用,开启了南宋诗歌中兴的源头。其战乱诗将记实叙事与感时伤世的爱国情感紧密结合,艺术风格自具特色,表现手法别具一格。题材上以“靖康之乱”为背景进行真实记述,具有以诗传史、以诗补史、诗史互证的意义,深得杜诗“诗吏”精髓。因此,给予吕本中的战乱诗“诗史”称号应不为过。     

Australia’s 1988 Bicentennial: national history and multiculturalism in the primary school curriculum

As in many countries, such as Germany, Turkey, the United States and Japan the history/culture wars of the past two decades have increased public interest in what is taught in schools. This has resulted in rigorous debates in the general community, encouraged and sustained through regular media coverage. Partly as a response to this, History has been designated as a separate subject in the first wave of planning and implementation of the Australian National Curriculum. Two of the reasons for this include first, to recognise the importance of teaching historical skills as a distinct subject; and second there is an ongoing bipartisan political interest in privileging history disciplinary knowledge and content to ensure that national history narratives are taught to students. To contribute meaningfully towards the development and implementation of a National Curriculum, it is important to understand past curriculum constructions, so that the disciplinary knowledge and content of history remains independent, and not subsumed within current (or future) political trends. Based on examples of national history from the Queensland Social Studies syllabus and government endorsed sourcebooks in the lead-up to the 1988 Bicentennial of British colonisation of the Australian continent, this article examines the influence and role of multiculturalism in History teaching in primary schools. Particular attention is paid to Indigenous representations and British heritages, as an example of two groups that have often been represented as binaries to each other throughout Australian history. An analysis of the curriculum materials illuminates the differences between multiculturalism and history—highlighting how the two are merged at the expense of accurate historical knowledge and concepts, particularly in the area of national history. This study will demonstrate that as a result of the infiltration of multiculturalism into history content within the Social Studies curriculum, historical knowledge becomes silenced in the school curriculum – resulting in vague and sometimes historically inaccurate information being presented to students; and the privileging of certain types of multiculturalism.

Different battlegrounds,similar concerns? The ‘history wars’ and the teaching of history in Australia and England

Debates about the purpose and content of history education in schools have been prevalent in most Westernised democratic nations over the last 30 years. Under discussion are essential questions concerning national identity/ies, competing narratives and the aims of history education. The impact of ‘history wars’ has been felt within both Australia and England, as conservative commentators – including politicians and historians – have raised concerns about the depth and effectiveness of history education and have sought to make significant changes to the history curriculum for schools. This analysis examines the history wars in Australia and England, exploring the view that history education has been in danger and/or crisis and examining the curricular implications of a move toward greater recognition of national narratives. It raises some essential tensions that remain regarding two aspects of history teaching in both nations: (1) historiography and (2) chronological understanding.
