明代状元丁显生卒年辨正

关于明代状元丁显的生卒年《明史》等早期史料均未载，近年出现的一些纸质及网络文献却提供了不同说法，但都不是很可靠，文章结合古今各种说法进行辨析后，认为丁显生卒年应分别为公元1358年和公元1398年。     

杨巨源生平诸事考

杨巨源是中唐著名诗人,其诗时人赞赏备至,然其生平诸事仍存疑窦。本文结合史料及前人成果,试对其生卒年、籍贯、仕履及交游情况加以考辨。     

“袁白燕”小考

袁凯是元末明初著名的诗人,以《白燕》诗闻名,人称“袁白燕”,享年当在百岁上下。但是,关于他的生卒年代清初就有人质疑,当今学界对袁凯生卒年代的说法也多牵强。袁凯之父袁介也是当时著名诗人,有作品传世。然而,明清两代许多文献对于袁介存世的界定是不符合史实的。袁介为袁凯的文学才华提供了家学滋养,袁凯也很有乃父之风。现实中的袁凯喜欢交游,与之交游者多为当时俊彦。袁凯与家人感情甚笃,相濡以沫。饱读诗书的袁凯一生有仕有隐,富有传奇色彩,其后裔却湮没无闻。     

The evidence base for the cues program for mothers of very low birth weight infants: an innovative approach to reduce anxiety and support sensitive interaction

Very low birth weight (VLBW) infants, born weighing less than 1,500 g, are at risk for several developmental problems. Consequently, there has been interest in developing intervention programs to prevent such problems. This article describes the empirical evidence that guided the development of an innovative, multicomponent intervention program for mothers of VLBW infants, as well as the program content and features. Based on the evidence, the program was designed to include six sessions and commence shortly after birth to reduce maternal psychological distress during the infant's hospitalization in the neonatal intensive care unit and to promote sensitive mother-infant interaction. The program incorporates various learning activities, including written materials, observational exercises, discussion, and video feedback.     

Welcoming nora: a family event

In this column, Allison and Paul Walsh share the story of the birth of Nora, their third baby and their second child to be born at home. Allison and Paul share their individual memories of labor and birth. But their story is only part of the story of Nora's birth. Nora's birth was a family event, with Allison and Paul's other children very much part of the experience. Jane and Gavin share their own memories of their baby sister's birth.     

It Takes a Team

In this column, the editor of The Journal of Perinatal Education (JPE) compares the need for careful planning, preparation, and coordinated teamwork in preparing for a safe, healthy birth with similar needs necessary for putting together each issue of JPE. The editor also describes the contents of this issue, which offer a broad range of resources, research, and inspiration for childbirth educators in their efforts to promote, support, and protect natural, safe, and healthy birth.     

民国时期宜宾的酿酒业和名酒五粮液的诞生

民国时期宜宾酿酒业在前代的基础上曲折前进,延续前代用丘陵地带盛产的高粱、包谷、荞麦等杂粮为主酿制蒸馏白酒的传统,糟房酿酒盛极一时,酿酒工艺有了进一步发展,出产的杂粮大曲酒名闻遐迩。但随着战乱频仍、物价飞涨,以及酒税的节节攀升,酿酒的利润空间不断被挤压,宜宾酿酒业遭遇前所未有的困境。为了走出困境,宜宾酿酒业在酿造优质大曲酒上寻找出路,以期获得较好的市场价格,开拓更广阔的市场,名酒五粮液由此诞生,它命名于1928～1929年间。在这一时期宜宾酿酒业朝着创造优质品牌酒的方向,做出了艰苦卓绝的努力。     

Transitions: The Birth of Flora Arden

In this column, a young mother shares the story of her second home birth. Like the birth of her first baby, her daughter Flora’s birth was supported by the presence of a midwife and doula, the peace and quiet of her own home, and the love of her husband and family. Birth is described as transforming and a powerful transition for women. She describes the births of both her children as being “forever emblazoned on my heart as the sweetest and strongest days of my small life.” Paralleling this story of birth is the story of her mother-in-law as she faces brain cancer and seizes the power of that life transition.     

Continuing Education Module The Courage to Birth

Childbirth educator Kathryn McGrath reflects on fear and courage and comes to see some levels of fear as a normal part of the process of pregnancy and birth and not something to be brushed aside. In this article, originally presented as a keynote address in 2005 at the Lamaze International Annual Conference, McGrath discusses fear during pregnancy and birth and presents ways in which the childbirth educator can acknowledge and accept women’s fears, and help find the courage they need to give birth.     

Reflections on the “Push for Your Baby” Campaign

In this editorial, a board member of Lamaze International describes the “Push for Your Baby” campaign to urge women to advocate for more evidence-based practice for better births. She also reflects on her hopes and worries about the “Push for Your Baby” campaign launched by Lamaze in May 2012. Discussing the realities of current maternity care practice, she asks how we can work with obstetric nurses and providers to have them support what most women value—vaginal birth.
