Higher education institutions are under increasing pressure to offer interdisciplinary education programmes; however, their implementation is not uncomplicated. Particularly where parts of a programme are delivered by different departments, academic development activities to change practices and develop a coherent interdisciplinary programme are problematical. This paper describes a team-based academic development activity aimed at improving student experiences of an interdisciplinary programme by seeking to resolve pedagogical, organisational and structural tensions. The activity is in the form of a Change Laboratory, a formative intervention method that builds on the theoretical framework of Cultural–Historical Activity Theory. Using this approach, participants were able to analyse and discuss the programme in a neutral interdisciplinary forum not available in academic development initiatives at the micro level of the individual teacher.  相似文献

Moodle平台作为目前世界上最为流行的学习管理平台之一(LMS—Learning Management System),有着许多功能强大教学活动模块。由于其免费开源的特点,使得全世界有很多用户专门为其开发出专业教学活动模块插件,其中包括了如:教学游戏,泛读,Covell等专门针对语言教学而开发的免费模块插件。这些插件结合Moodle自身原有的学习活动模块,大大增强了Moodle台在英语语言教学的功能。本文通过笔者对这些平台的应用心得体会,向读者展示了如何有效地利用上述插件模块,增强Moodle平台的语言教学功能,从而更有效提高语言网络课程的效果。  相似文献

高阶思维发展“沉浸”在不同学科课堂教学情境中,呈现出具有学科思维特点和学科活动特征的内在结构与发展规律。文章以语文学科为例,基于思维结构、高阶思维结构等基本理论,结合对学科思维的深入剖析,建立了认知要素与情感要素协同作用、思维过程与思维品质动态发展的学科高阶思维结构模型;进而以模型为理论框架对学科课堂教学视频进行质性分析,挖掘课堂情境中高阶思维活动发生与发展的表现与特征,构建了以复杂问题解决过程为主线、体现思维活动阶段性特征、高阶思维内在要素协同发挥作用、高阶思维外在品质不同程度提升的学科高阶思维发展规律模型。以期为探析学科高阶思维结构与发展规律提供一种思路与方法,为高阶思维发展取向的学科课堂教学设计与实施提供理论依据。  相似文献

Abstract

Sessional teachers in universities are often marginalised by their part-time status, availability for training, and invisibility within the institution’s infrastructure. Nevertheless, tutors as a subset of this group, regularly have access to some training and development. This paper presents a methodological approach for implementing the BLASST framework for sessional staff at a New Zealand university, based on a project to benchmark support for tutors. Using Activity Theory, I discuss tensions associated with developing a training programme for tutors and how such an approach can aid the development of similar models for all sessional teachers.  相似文献

Objective: To evaluate the interaction between serum levels of soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) andHelicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection in patients with chronic gastritis and peptic ulcer. Methods: The serum levels of sICAM-1 in 205 patients with chronic gastric diseases were detected by ELISA method and the status ofH. pylori was determined by histologic examination, RUT,14C-UBT, and serology. The sera obtained from 18 healthy volunteers served as controls. Results: The serum levels of sICAM-1 were significantly higher in patients withH. pylori positive than those of H. pylori negative (889.43±32.52 ng/ml vs. 747.07±30.45 ng/ml,P<0.05). The serum levels of sICAM-1 in patients with mild, moderate and severe infection ofH. pylori were 841.68±72.36 ng/ml, 905.43±37.59 ng/ml and 1012.54±49.34 ng/ml, respectively (P<0.05). The serum levels of sICAM-1, proved to be significantly correlated with the density ofH. pylori colonization in gastric mucosa (r s=0.316,P<0.001). The serum levels of sICAM-1 in patients with chronic gastritis and peptic ulcer were significantly higher than those in healthy controls (P<0.05). Conclusions: These results indicated thatH. pylori infection up-regulates the expression of sICAM-1.  相似文献

This article reports on two cycles of a Participatory Action Research (PAR) study on student experiences of the process of establishing social learning spaces in a Johannesburg university student residence. We draw on Wenger’s (2009) notion of ‘social learning spaces’ to explore the manner in which students mediate their social and institutional identity, expose power imbalances in terms of decision-making and determine influences on their learning. We argue that learning is facilitated by social engagement and suggest that the conceptualisation and implementation of social learning spaces, although a complex and protracted process, is valuable for students’ social and academic development, particularly in a residence environment. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews, analysed using content analysis, and interpreted through a Cultural Historical Activity Theory (CHAT) lens. The findings point to the complexity of establishing social learning spaces (SLS) in a student residence environment with students experiencing multiple tensions in the process, including struggles with collaborative learning, difficulties in developing agency and the challenges of traversing power relations.  相似文献

随着信息技术的发展,教师网络研修由于其时空分离、开放灵活的特征,受到各国教育行政部门和一线教师的青睐。然而目前的教师网络研修存在研修方式单一、参与者少、交流内容浮于表面、持续性差等问题。基于活动理论和现代远程教育理论构建的教师网络实践共同体研修活动设计模型,纵向结构上以规范、统一的教师基本网络研修活动为基本构件,通过活动调用接口,形成多层次的教师网络研修活动流;横向结构上按对活动任务起直接或间接作用的因素进行区分,以完成活动设计过程中的主次问题,最终解决教师网络研修活动设计复杂、重用与共享难、实践性弱等问题。  相似文献
