Any tidal defense engineering involves the collection and analysis of massive information about engineering structures and their surrounding environment. Traditional method, which is carried out mainly by means of twodimensional drawings and textures, is not efficient and intuitive enough to analyze the whole project and reflect its spatial relationship. Three-dimensional visual simulation provides an advanced technical means of solving this problem. In this paper, triangular irregular network (TIN) model simplified by non-uniform rational B-splines (NURBS) technique was used to establish the digital terrain model (DTM) of a super large region. Simulation of dynamic water surface was realized by combining noise function with sine wave superposition method. Models of different objects were established with different modeling techniques according to their characteristics. Application of texture mapping technology remarkably improved the authenticity of the models. Taking the tidal defense engineering in the new coastal region of Tianjin as a case study, three-dimensional visual simulation and dynamic roaming of the study area were realized, providing visual analysis and visible demonstration method for the management and emergency decision-making associated with construction.  相似文献

Despite tutors' importance, they often encounter inadequate professional development and support. This study describes the impact of peer observation of teaching activities on tutors' professional development using multiple data-sets over a three-year period. The data was analysed according to three themes: situated learning, reflective practice and conceptual expansion, in order to identify changes to teaching practice. Tutors reported that peer observation of teaching is an effective development activity that encouraged reflection on teaching and, for some, resulted in conceptual expansion and lasting change to teaching. Tutors found the situated aspect of the peer observation activity was an important factor, as it enabled them to observe how other tutors supported their students' engagement with the discipline-specific curriculum. Recommendations for future research and for the professional development of tutors in practice are provided.  相似文献

This paper outlines the initial findings of an action research project that focuses on the possible contribution of peer observation to a more collaborative environment and teachers’ professional growth at The University High School. The research component played a significant part as previous attempts to change the culture at the school were unsuccessful and investigating the forces that prevent collaboration in the day-to-day workings of the school became necessary. Our investigation reveals that whilst a peer observation programme has great potential to stimulate cooperation amongst teachers, the ingrained power relations in schools turn its intended professional growth outcomes on its head. Only if the school's leadership employs strategies to counter entrenched disciplinary structures in schools, can peer observation lead to more collaboration between staff members and stimulate professional learning.  相似文献

Abstract

Agronomists (scientists and extensionists), despite the emergence of interactive approaches, still have troubles with (the introduction of) innovations, such as sustainable forms of agriculture. This article critically addresses such difficulties based on the evaluation of a project mainly concerning the introduction of Integrated Crop Management in a Greek village. Evaluation brought to light a number of ‘weaknesses’ which led to a rupturing of the project. Among them, despite the ‘triple bottom line’ and ‘interactive innovation’ rhetoric, the top-down and agro-scientific approach that was taken in practice, which resulted in bypassing the multifaceted nature of such projects and in misunderstandings among the parties involved, emerged as crucial. Therefore, prerequisites, in both theoretical and practical terms, of designs for interactive learning/innovation are outlined.  相似文献

随着虚拟现实技术的更新,渲染硬件也有了新的进展,但是由于现存渲染技能的局限性,较为复杂大型的虚拟场景还是无法以足够高的帧频进行显示.立足于视点替用特效、场景层次细分等概念,提出一种加速三维空间图像缓存的新方法.经实验验证,该方法对于大规模的几何场景具有明显的加速绘制效果.  相似文献

This small-scale study investigates the research activity of individuals employed as nurse educators in higher education. Four distinct interpretations of their role emerged from the work they chose to do. Managers, researchers, teachers and dabblers had different views on the importance of scholarly activity in higher education. All groups appreciated the value of research for evidence-based practice. However, the different situations often limited their opportunity for research inquiry and the type of activities they committed to undertake. A research culture appears to be essential for all four groups; teachers to inform their curriculum delivery, researchers to be fully appreciated for their contribution to the advancement of professional nursing knowledge and dabblers to encourage and support their research initiatives. Managers are fully aware of the importance of research to curriculum development and implementation, yet are often overburdened with operational and administrative tasks and so have the most difficulty in finding time for research. It is argued that senior management should consider a radical rethink of the multifaceted nature of a nurse educator's role in higher education institutions in order to promote and nurture a culture that is conducive to their research activity.  相似文献
