Accounting for structure and agency in ‘close-up’ research on teaching,learning and assessment in higher education

This paper examines research into teaching, learning and assessment (TLA) in higher education in terms of structure and agency. It argues that although issues of structure and agency are seen as crucial in social theory, they are very little discussed in research into TLA in higher education and that a consideration of structure and agency raises some important questions about this research and the quality of the explanations that it generates. It is therefore time to reconsider this research from the standpoint of structure and agency so that more sophisticated approaches to researching, and generating explanations of, teaching, learning and assessment in higher education can be developed.     

Technological cooperation,R&D outsourcing,and innovation performance at the firm level: The role of the regional context

Much has been said about the role that technological networking activities play on the innovative performance of firms, but little is known about how the regional context influences the efficiency of such networking activities. In this paper we hypothesize that the transformation of firms’ networking activities into innovation may vary depending on the regional environment in which the firm is located. For Spanish manufactures in the period 2000-12 and through the use of a multilevel framework, we obtain that after controlling for the firm’s characteristics, the regional context has not only a direct effect on firms’ innovation performance, but it also conditions the returns to firms’ networking activities, although differently in the case of cooperation and outsourcing. Cooperating in innovation activities is more beneficial for those firms located in a knowledge intensive region, whereas R&D outsourcing seems to be more profitable for firms in regions with a low knowledge pool.

信息技术对传统产业结构影响分析

信息技术由于其具有的广泛性和渗透性，在传统产业改造中，能加快传统产业的产品更新周期，提高资源利用效率，改变需求结构、产品结构，提高质量，降低成本，增进局部乃至整体企业、行业的经营整理效率，从而促进传统产业结构的改变。

本文结合政府功能定位对“产学研结合”的重要意义进行了再认识，指出当前“产学研结合”工作中存在的主要问题。在分析国际产学研发展趋势的基础上，从要素组成、组织形态、运行机制、主要任务四方面提出了构建新型产业技术创新战略联盟的设想，进而分析了创新“产学研结合”组织模式的战略意义，并提出了构建产业技术创新战略联盟的原则与措施。     

基于软件体系结构的管理信息系统模型

在软件体系结构理论的指导下，提出了一个面向企业管理信息系统、具有层次体系结构风格的在一定范围内通用的管理信息系统软件体系结构模型GMISA。     

区域R＆D产业发展差异分析

本文从投入与产出两个方面分析了区域R&D产业的发展差异。主要结论是,区域之间R&D产业的投入存在两极分化现象,投入系数相差悬殊。区域R&D产业投入的活动类型结构基本上是试验发展>应用研究>基础研究,各区域都十分重视对试验发展的投入。区域R&D产业投入的执行机构结构主要以企业为主,其次是科研院所或高等院校。区域R&D产业的产出绝大部分集中在东部地区,但是,中部地区的产出效率高于东部和西部。而且,投入小的区域其产出效率却比较高。
