Accuracy of teachers' judgments of students' cognitive abilities: A meta-analysis

This paper presents a meta-analysis of the accuracy of teachers' judgments of students' cognitive abilities. The array of cognitive abilities includes intelligence, giftedness, other cognitive abilities, and creativity. The integration of 106 effect sizes from 33 studies with a meta-analytical multilevel approach led to a mean judgment accuracy of cognitive abilities of r = 0.43. Moderation analyses revealed moderate to large effects for intelligence: r = 0.50, other cognitive abilities: r = 0.42, giftedness: r = 0.36, and creativity: r = 0.34. Lower judgment accuracy was shown for preselected student samples and for judgments without eligible frames of reference. We discuss an academic achievement bias as selected studies revealed higher correlations between judgments of intelligence and academic achievement measures (r = 0.61) than between judgments of intelligence and measures of intelligence.     

多渠道培养初中学生的实验操作能力

初中学生实验操作能力是诸多能力中的一种，使学生具有这种能力可以巩固理论知识，培养思维能力和创新精神。作为一个从事自然科学教育的教师理应重视学生操作能力的提高。其途径应是多方面的，可以通过借鉴前人、立足课堂、开放实验室三方面进行，而在课堂这一层面，又应格外重视指导学生学会规范操作和引导正确观察，同时教会学生客观记录和改进实验方法。在课外，别应开放实验室开展课外实验，以达到课内和课外的有机统一。     

大学生体育水平的差异

对岳阳师范学院学生体育运动水平差异的成因进行了调查研究，并通过对个体差异的研究发现：普通高校体育教学内容与中小学内容重复过多，教师专业水平、教学艺术水平不齐。针对以上问题，探讨了普通高校体育教学改革的基本思路。

Spatial abilities and anatomy knowledge assessment: A systematic review

Anatomy knowledge has been found to include both spatial and non‐spatial components. However, no systematic evaluation of studies relating spatial abilities and anatomy knowledge has been undertaken. The objective of this study was to conduct a systematic review of the relationship between spatial abilities test and anatomy knowledge assessment. A literature search was done up to March 20, 2014 in Scopus and in several databases on the OvidSP and EBSCOhost platforms. Of the 556 citations obtained, 38 articles were identified and fully reviewed yielding 21 eligible articles and their quality were formally assessed. Non‐significant relationships were found between spatial abilities test and anatomy knowledge assessment using essays and non‐spatial multiple‐choice questions. Significant relationships were observed between spatial abilities test and anatomy knowledge assessment using practical examination, three‐dimensional synthesis from two‐dimensional views, drawing of views, and cross‐sections. Relationships between spatial abilities test and anatomy knowledge assessment using spatial multiple‐choice questions were unclear. The results of this systematic review provide evidence for spatial and non‐spatial methods of anatomy knowledge assessment. Anat Sci Educ 10: 235–241. © 2016 American Association of Anatomists.     

教具在盲校直观教学中的应用

大量符合各种感知觉特点的教具是盲校直观教学实践的基础。触觉教具是盲校直观教学的重点,教师应理解各种类型触觉教具的直观层次。盲校教师在制作、使用触觉教具时,不应受视觉规律的主导。多感官教具的效果通常较好,计算机多媒体教具对盲生只是听觉教具,并不适应盲童缺乏事物客观表象的特点。语言在直观教学中有重要的辅助作用,但是,把抽象的语言作为直观的一种方式值得商榷。
