植物生物质能化学转化技术工艺模式的比较研究

常规能源的有限性和日益严重的环境污染,使寻找清洁的可再生能源成为人类关注的焦点。植物生物质能由于其数量巨大,对环境影响小,并且有可再生性,成为目前的主要选择之一。植物生物质能化学转化技术由于能得到更有价值的气体、液体产物,提供高效清洁的能源,因而作为一项资源高效利用的新工艺日益受到重视,对植物生物质能燃烧、液化、热解、气化等化学转化技术的工艺模式进行比较研究具有十分重要的意义。

运动减肥机制探析———酰化刺激蛋白的作用及其调节

酰化刺激蛋白是脂肪组织分泌的一种激素，在调节脂肪代谢和能量平衡方面发挥重要作用。它一方面能够提高脂肪细胞捕获脂肪酸和合成甘油三酯的能力；另一方面可以通过抑制激素敏感脂酶的活性来抑制甘油三酯的分解。C3（-/-）（ASP缺乏）鼠所表现出的肥胖抵抗特征对于防肥减肥而言具有诱人的前景。综述了ASP的来源、生物学作用以及缺乏后的生物学特征，并对其在运动减肥机制中可能发挥的作用进行探讨。

清末民初的社会转型给小说园地带来了革命性变化,短短十余年间涌现的新小说,相当于此前一千多年产生的通俗小说的十余倍。而且名目繁多,内容深广,用嘻笑怒骂之笔,揭露了病入膏肓的社会疮痍,并努力探索富国强民的改革之路。这是一部形象的中国近代史,也是小说家们救亡图强的心史。在小说发展史上,新小说具有新旧更迭、革故鼎新的桥梁作用,从这个意义上说,它们是现当代小说的先声。     

转型期我国有效体育需求不足问题研究

运用问卷调查及资料分析的方法研究转型期我国有效体育需求发展的水平及社会经济环境。结果表明，转型期虽然我国的有效体育需求水平呈总体上升趋势，但体育消费额占居民收入和消费总支出的比例还很小，整个体育产业对GDP的贡献是很有限的。加快完善社会保障体制的步伐，努力提高低收入者的可支配收入，增强居民的体育消费意识，完善体育市场服务体系，政府运用税收手段调节体育商品供给是提高我国有效体育需求的有效手段。     

Arts sponsorship and the state of the city

This paper explores the correlation between metropolitan social and economic conditions and corporate arts support in the United States. It is hypothesized that the transition from a manufacturing sector economy to an advanced service sector economy is an important local factor for the increase in corporate arts support.By panel analysis, in eleven metropolitan areas between 1977 and 1991 changes in corporate arts support have been correlated with changes in social and economic conditions, i.e., service sector and manufacturing sector employment, service sector and manufacturing sector income, population's educational attainment, and the degree of dominance by the leading local arts supporting industry.Corporate arts support is higher in metropolitan areas where the population is better educated (=+0.60), the local service sector generates more income (=+0.37) and the local manufacturing sector generates less income (=–0.22).Corporations from the manufacturing sector are mostly indifferent towards arts support. In contrast, corporations from the service sector are supportive of the local arts but they also respond swiftly to a loss in their earnings by discontinuing their arts support.

Scale and Translation Invariant Collaborative Filtering Systems

Collaborative filtering systems are prediction algorithms over sparse data sets of user preferences. We modify a wide range of state-of-the-art collaborative filtering systems to make them scale and translation invariant and generally improve their accuracy without increasing their computational cost. Using the EachMovie and the Jester data sets, we show that learning-free constant time scale and translation invariant schemes outperforms other learning-free constant time schemes by at least 3% and perform as well as expensive memory-based schemes (within 4%). Over the Jester data set, we show that a scale and translation invariant Eigentaste algorithm outperforms Eigentaste 2.0 by 20%. These results suggest that scale and translation invariance is a desirable property.     

Relationship transitions for parents of children with autism spectrum disorder: types,turbulence, and transition processing communication

This study surveys transitions specific to parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), examines how aspects of relational turbulence vary based on the type of transition experienced, and explores the transition processing activities couples use to navigate marital transitions in this context. The study examined the transition experiences of 298 parents of children with ASD who were currently married. Participants detailed an important transition throughout the life span of their child with ASD using open-ended questions. They completed scales assessing qualities of the relationship during the transition and transition processing communication used to navigate the experience. Results demonstrate significant differences in experiences of relational turbulence based on the type of transition described. In particular, the initial diagnosis received the highest ratings for transition magnitude and relational turbulence compared to other common transitions. Engagement in transition processing communication predicted relational uncertainty and facilitation from a partner, which predicted relational turbulence.
