ABSTRACTLooking ahead, it seems clear that organizing together the values we espouse as a profession could help us to live and work in a global kinesiology community in the best possible way. It is politic, in that it seems sensible and judicious to act on this principle, to organize and maintain a coherent framework of professional values. In which case, it will require that we be political insofar as we collaboratively engage in the process of making uniform decisions that apply to all the members of our profession now, and in the future. To achieve that goal, an important challenge for the next generation of kinesiology is to develop and deliver a values education product that is efficacious and exciting—together. This means we all take responsibility for the mission of delivering a values-education product to the students that fits the goals of our academic unit and institution. This challenge is not just directed at the philosophers and ethicists in our midst. The need for values education spans the kinesiology alphabet. Values and ethical issues are foundational from A to Z, (anatomy to zip-lining), from the most extensive scholarly study to the most intensive physical activity. Total transformation of the curriculum to embrace new best teaching and learning practices entails a new social contract that involves united faculty input and execution. The goal is to develop a future-oriented curriculum that is premised upon the examination and explication of carefully selected and monitored values. The quandary facing us is which values to select and how to effectively base a curriculum on them. Professionals in our field may resonate with this general call to values, but there might be less agreement on the specifics, particularly which values to choose as the basis of our curricula; even less consensus may occur when answering the swampy question of which policies and procedures we should adopt to implement a values-centered program. 相似文献

When studying a complex research phenomenon, a mixed methods design allows to answer a broader set of research questions and to tap into different aspects of this phenomenon, compared to a monomethod design. This paper reports on how a sequential equal status design (QUAN → QUAL) was used to examine students’ reasoning processes when solving probability problems. A select clustered sampling resulted in the inclusion of 168 high school students in a first, quantitative phase, in which a questionnaire was used to assess how they solved probability problems. This questionnaire included probability items that were based on the outcome orientation, the representativeness misconception, and the equiprobability bias. In a second, qualitative phase, 18 students who were purposefully sampled from the first research phase were interviewed in order to conduct an in-depth study of their probabilistic reasoning processes. 为减小预测误差,目前的方法是:选择对股价有显著影响的输入变量、调整网络结构及选择合适的参数、优化学习算法,这些方法都是以实际股价作为网络的预测。提出以相邻两天的股价差价作为网络的预测,在相同的数据上分别建立股价预测模型和股价的差价预测模型,并对它们的结果进行对比分析。结果表明差价预测模型的预测误差小、预测效果好。 相似文献

[目的/意义]随着MOOCs迅猛发展和普及,如何利用智能推荐技术为学习者从海量的MOOC中"寻找最佳课程"成为MOOC发展中需要解决的重要课题。[方法/过程]基于自我知觉理论和学习行为投入框架,充分利用学习行为日志和评分数据挖掘学习者之间的隐式信任关系,并通过信任传播建立MOOC社区信任网络,从而构建动态结合兴趣和隐式信任感知的混合推荐方法。为解决数据稀疏问题,提出基于信任的联合概率矩阵分解模型(TA-PMF),将课程评分矩阵、信任关系矩阵的分解相结合来挖掘用户及课程潜在特征,进而实现评分预测。[结果/结论]真实数据集测试结果表明,与显性评分值相比,学习行为投入信息对信任度构建贡献权重达到0.7;TA-PMF方法对MOOC推荐具有较好的适用性,且能在一定程度上缓解冷启动问题。 相似文献
