Beyond broadcasting: the digital future of public service broadcasting

This article looks at the impact of digitization on television. Early treatments of digital television (DTV) have become outdated by technical and market developments. This paper reviews these developments and reconsiders the public policy and regulatory issues surrounding DTV, particularly with respect to public service broadcasting in Europe. Convergence trends are examined and we find that it happens, but differently than expected. This raises serious doubts concerning whether current models and conceptualizations of public service broadcasting can address future challenges of pluralism and diversity if they remain constrained by traditional understandings of broadcasting.     

Spectrum of Teaching Styles Retrospective 2012

The Spectrum of Teaching Styles was introduced by Dr. Muska Mosston in his 1966 book Teaching Physical Education. In this essay the development of the Spectrum is briefly recounted and five refinements made since 1966 are reviewed. In closing, the authors reflect on the influence of critiques from scholars in the field on the development of the Spectrum and Spectrum research.     

Muscle Dysmorphia,Gender Role Stress,and Sociocultural Influences

Abstract

Our study explored the contribution of gender role stress (GRS) and sociocultural appearance demands to symptoms of muscle dysmorphia (MD) in a college sample of 219 women and 154 men. For women, five GRS subscales, sociocultural appearance demands, age, and frequency of aerobic exercise predicted MD symptoms (model R² = .33; F(8,210) = 12.81, p < .001); for men, only one GRS subscale, age, and sociocultural appearance demands predicted MD symptoms (model R² = .40; F(3,150) = 9.52, p < .001). Post hoc analyses revealed that a small number of items explained a substantial portion of the variation, suggesting that MD may be more related to specific perceptions of pressure to attain an attractive body than to global gender role stress.     

基于显著区域纹理谱特征的图像检索方法

提出一种基于显著区域纹理谱特征的图像检索方法.首先计算像素点显著度,生成显著图;然后对图像的各个分割区域,按照显著图确定显著区域;再提取各个显著区域的纹理谱直方图特征;最后给出显著区域纹理谱特征的加权函数.实验结果表明,该方法能将视觉敏感度与纹理特征有效地结合起来,在不增加太多计算时间的条件下,提高检索质量.

一种基于LabVIEW的频率响应分析仪设计

频率响应分析作为一种系统分析方法有着广泛的用途。设计了一种基于LabVIEW的频响分析系统,相对于传统的频谱分析仪,它具有性能价格比高、功能覆盖面广、系统可升级性好等优点。介绍了该分析仪的软、硬件结构,详述了其程序实现方法和程序框架,并与标准仪器进行了对比分析。经实验测试,该频谱分析仪的平均幅值误差达到0.06dB,平均相位误差达到0.09°,分析精度高,性能可靠。

检测赛艇运动员在最大功和三级负荷训练中的血氧含量变化发现,在训练的不同时期血氧浓度的变化明显不一样,且不同的训练方法曲线规律也不一样。     

基于uC／OSⅡ系统的音频频谱仪设计

所设计的基于uC／OSⅡ系统的音频频谱仪，硬件平台是Ccrtex—M3内核的STM32F103ZET6芯片，软件平台包括Keil MDK、Matlab和Virtins Sound Card Multilnstrument。经过测试，可同时将仿真结果与设计结果显示出来。     

密度泛函理论研究1,1’-二吡咯的结构和振动光谱

采用密度泛函理论的B3LYP方法研究了1,1’-二吡咯的结构和振动光谱.通过对分子势能面扫描确定了当两个吡咯环在相互垂直的两个平面上时具有最低的能量,比平面构型分子的能量低33.09 kJ/mol,是势能面上的稳定构型,这与实验结果一致.同时,对优化所得的稳定构型在相同水平上分析了1,1’-二吡咯的振动光谱,并对光谱进行了指认.
