随着计算机和网络技术的发展,接触、使用互联网的少年儿童越来越多。少年儿童的价值观、判断力正处于建立的时期,所以必定会因为网络所呈现的不良内容,带来某些有碍他们健康成长的危险因素,使其身心受到不同程度的负面影响。美国在儿童网络隐私保护方面做了很多工作,文章从法律、网站自律和安全港模式方面分析了美国对儿童网络隐私保护的措施,以期为我国儿童的网络隐私保护提供参考。     

当代美国教育改革六次浪潮及其启示

美国低碳经济对福建生态文明建设的启示

美国低碳经济发展取得积极进展。在布什政府期间,美国低碳经济的发展主要采取提供立法保障、开发和利用新能源技术等措施;在奥巴马政府期间,美国低碳经济的发展主要采取确定合理的长远目标、推动政策法规的颁布与执行、采取一系列的经济激励政策等措施。通过研究福建生态文明发展中产业、技术、消费、制度、能源和生态存在的问题,提出低碳发展整体框架,建议采取加快新能源的寻找与开发、推动产业结构优化升级、加强技术创新、建设低碳城市、提供强有力的政策保障和改变消费观念等方法推动福建生态文明的发展。     

美国联邦科研机构治理研究综述

通过对现有的关于美国联邦科研机构总体治理、专项问题治理(特别是技术转移的治理)等各类型研究机构治理状况的研究进行分析,发现目前国内的研究未能反映美国联邦科研机构发展变化的最新趋势;对美国联邦科研机构公私合营特征的研究还很缺乏;还未建立起分析美国联邦科研机构治理的有效框架,现有研究较为零散;美国联邦科研机构与中国科研机构的比较研究以及对中国的启示分析还不够深入。     

家庭作业的是与非——美国的家庭作业之争及其启示

美国中小学的家庭作业虽已有百年的历史,但一直是争论的焦点。随着美国教育行政部门对学术标准的达标要求和对公众对教学质量提升的呼吁,中小学学生的家庭作业量开始增加,由此出现了对于家庭作业的激烈争论以及学者对其进行的实证研究。而这些争论和研究对于科学合理地布置家庭作业,减轻中小学学生过重的负担,具有重要的启示意义。     

Talent,Schmalent: An Instructional Design/Action Research Framework for the Professionalization of Teaching in Academic Libraries

When myths become canonical beliefs within a professional culture, they can have a profound impact on professional practice. In this paper we identify as a pernicious educational myth the belief that the ability to teach well is a naturally occurring innate talent or skill. The first two sections of the paper aim to demonstrate (i) that the concept of the naturally gifted teacher is a myth based on factually incorrect assumptions about expertise development and (ii) that this myth has several major negative implications for professional practices around teaching in academic libraries. We then we draw on the education literature to offer an alternative model for the cultivation of teaching excellence, an instructional design/action research framework that prioritizes ‘deliberative’ practice over innate talent. We close with suggestions for how academic librarians and library administrators can implement this framework within their institutions.

体育文化对中美青少年社会核心价值观形成比较研究

通过对体育文化、教育、学校体育的垂直交叉架构剖析,并在此背景下探析中美两国校园体育文化的特征;＂校园体育精神＂【1】的发展是构筑青少年体育文化的根本。在这中间,学校教育的传播功能是促进体育文化植根校园的基础。虽然体育文化传播让中国青少年建立起的体育价值观在对他们形成社会核心价值观的功能性作用微乎其微,但是通过对中美青少年社会核心价值观的建立比较,认为美国青少年在建立社会核心价值观的过程中,体育文化对其影响是显著的。     

Reclaiming America: the quest for home in Shawn Wong’s Homebase

ABSTRACT

With its dynamic narrative, Shawn Wong's Homebase recounts the story of four generations of a Chinese family searching for a homebase on the land of the United States. Personal experiences, family chronicles, and Chinese American history are portrayed through various forms, including short stories, correspondences, student essays, memories, and dreams. A major theme of the novel is geographically and spiritually “reclaiming America,” or attempts by Chinese Americans to make the United States their “real” home. The protagonist's way to reclaim America involves revisiting landmarks and other places in the United States where his father and grandfather had traveled, through which he tries to discover the meaning of his own life in the United States and thereby to find his personal identity and home in this country. In drawing the topography of Chinese American history, Shawn Wong not only inscribed Chinese American presence on those places where the protagonist's forefathers had lived and worked, but also used legends to implant their heritage into those soils. Shawn Wong hopes that through his writing he can build for Chinese Americans a history, a cultural foundation with myths and legends of their own. Only when a people's myths spread over the land they inhabit can the land truly be considered theirs. The Chinese American identity shaped in Homebase is heroism, rooted in the ethnic identity of the male Chinese American in the American West, and this is the “home” that the protagonist as well as many other Chinese Americans ever quest for.
