高职院校学生主题班会内容体系研究

主题班会作为高职院校大学生日常思想政治教育的重要渠道和班集体建设与素质能力培养的重要载体,越来越凸显出它的重要性。文章阐述了主题班会的内涵和意义,探讨了如何针对高职学生的特点和在校成长发展不同阶段的目标任务和存在问题,构建科学的主题班会内容体系,增强主题班会的育人功能。     

树立和落实科学发展观推动学校事业全面协调发展

坚持以人为本,树立全面、协调、可持续的发展观,是党的十六届三中全会提出的统领全社会发展的重要指导思想,也是高等教育进一步发展的指导方针。20世纪90年代末以来,河南理工大学树立和落实科学发展观,坚持“以师生为主体”的办学思想,坚持为行业和地方经济建设服务并重,全面加强内涵建设,并将继续推动学校各项事业全面协调发展。     

Flagship project on cryopheric changes launched at CAS

With the support of the National Basic Research Program （dubbed “973” Program）, a research project entitled the “dynamic process of China＇s cryosphere, and the mechanism behind its impact on climate, hydrology and ecology” has recently been launched at the CAS Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute （CAREERI） in Lanzhou, capital of northwest China＇s Gansu Province, marking the inception of a systematic and allround exploration of the subject.

Independence and obedience in the United States and Japan

Are some Americans and Japanese beginning to think more similarly about independence and obedience? Middle-class adult respondents from the suburbs of Chicago and Tokyo (U.S.: 43 males and 54 females: Japan: 71 males and 80 females) were surveyed about their sex-role values. This report focuses on two values which have been recognised as constituting fundamental differences between Japanese and Americans: personal independence and obedience. The survey used a metric multidimensional scaling technique called Galileo^®. Analyses of the data and results of other comparative studies suggest that any convergence taking place between the two societies is occurring primarily within American society. There is growing evidence, including the findings of this study, that Americans are moving away from their traditional stress on the importance of the individual in society. The Japanese respondents did show a more liberal conceptualization of the ideal woman with respect to obedience, however, there was no indication that this less traditional image of women extended to their other traditional roles in society.     

The Rise of the Small: The Effects of Industry Consolidation on Small Legal Publishers

Summary

The legal publishing industry has experienced waves of acquisition and consolidation, with almost all of the established players becoming affiliated with either Thomson or Reed Elsevier. A widespread assumption is that this consolidation is driving out the smaller participants in the market, especially in conjunction with the expansion of free Web sites for primary source material. It is presumed that the entrepreneurs who have smaller, profit-based companies are becoming less interested in the market due to financial pressures, increased difficulty of capturing market share, and threat of acquisition (friendly or hostile).

In order to confirm or refute this assumption, the author reviews the industry consolidations, describes the delineation of representative small legal publishers, and analyzes their responses to questions about how the recent industry changes have affected their strategies, markets and product lines. The resulting picture is of an environment much different than that painted by current media pundits. Contrary to the presumption of a disappearing landscape of small players, there is a positive perception of “ripe opportunity” pushing companies into this marketplace-companies armed with new technology tools and strong convictions that they can reach customers ready and willing to do old business in new ways. The small publishers seem to be weathering the climactic industry changes, and have expectations of growth and expansion.     

独立学院开展电子设计竞赛的探索--以长江大学文理学院为例

大学生电子设计竞赛是教育部倡导的大学生学科竞赛之一,是面向大学生的群众性科技活动,在学生中有着较高的认知度。本文针对独立学院大学生的特点,探讨和研究出一些适合他们参加全国大学生电子设计大赛的培训方法,并对独立学院学生参加电子大赛的培训模式和独立院校电子设计大赛发展的方向进行了探讨。     

独立学院经管类专业“经济法”课程学业评价研究——基于H学院调查数据的分析

科学合理的课程学业评价既能促进教师紧密围绕独立学院的人才培养目标开展教学工作,也能有效地引导学生在课程学习中着力培养自己的实践能力。本文以对H学院调查数据的分析为依据,全面分析了学生对当前＂经济法＂课程学业评价的态度、课程学业评价对学生学习积极性与学习方式的影响以及学生对课程学业评价的期望,在此基础上从明确指导思想、注重学生学习的过程性评价和改革考核方式三个方面提出了独立学院经管类专业＂经济法＂课程的学业评价改革对策。
