分析我国科技期刊编辑现状和新时期编辑职业能力的新要求,通过对出版格局的统筹策划能力、专业领域的预研判断能力、新媒体技术的开发应用能力、出版大数据的挖掘分析能力、出版实践的组织协调能力、面向国际战略的综合拓展能力等6个方面的解析,提出了当今科技期刊编辑所应具备和培养的全媒体出版的适应能力.     

The future is not what it used to be: Changing views on contemporary color photography

Attitudes and approaches toward the collection, use, and care of color photographs have evolved enormously since the official arrival of commercially viable color photographic processes in the early twentieth century. This article traces the evolution of collection, exhibition, and preservation practices for works of art in color photography over the last few decades, as represented by one institution, The Metropolitan Museum of Art.     

Access and Express: Professional Perspectives on Public Library Makerspaces and Intellectual Freedom

This study examines the roles of makerspaces and librarians in public libraries, as defined by nine librarians instituting makerspace services. It explores their understanding of creative spaces and library policy, specifically the foundational principles of intellectual freedom and access. Using constructivist discourse analysis tools, this study analyzes interview data to illuminate a concept of access grounded in expression, incorporating hands-on activities, tools, and social connections. This study has implications for practitioners and policymakers in reconsidering access as a positive liberty enabled by social contexts, and librarians’ enzymatic roles in facilitating those contexts.     

英语不定冠词用法浅析

英语不定冠词在英语中使用率很高,英语名词中的可数和不可数特点使中国的英语初学者难以掌握不定冠词的用法。英语的不可数名词不能冠以不定冠词,但当不可数名词受到形容词或介词短语的修饰或限定时却变成可数名词,因而可以受到不定冠词的修饰,表示某种个别的或特殊的情况。     

‘What on Earth are They Doing in a Racing Car?’: Towards an Understanding of Women in Motorsport

Abstract

Motorsport is an under-researched area of socio-historical study. There is particularly limited academic understanding of female involvement in the social world of motorsports. Therefore, this paper focuses on the role of the media in presenting and establishing motorsport for women. In particular, a documentary analysis of articles published by a UK national newspaper group from 1890, and a case study of an all-female UK-based motor-racing championship are used to account for gendered processes that have influenced attitudes and behaviours towards women motor racers. The motor car emerged through technological progress in an overtly masculine-dominated industrial period. Traditional assumptions and biologically deterministic attitudes towards women were used by men to position motoring and motor-racing as a male preserve. Newspaper reporting throughout the 1930s suggests an era of heightened success for women motor racers as a result of gaining access to a key resource in the form of Brooklands motor-racing circuit. Following the Second World War, there was increasing commercialization and professionalization of male-dominated motorsport, as well as renewed marginalization and trivialization of female participants within the newspapers. These processes continue to influence perceptions of women in contemporary motorsport.     

Olympics,Media and Politics: The First Olympic Ideas in Brazilian Society During the Late Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Centuries

Abstract

The Olympic Games of the modern era are powerful global mediated events. Olympic cities receive an overwhelming examination by world media. As the 2016 Olympic host, Rio de Janeiro has been given an enormous amount of attention, both by the international media and researchers who looked at the urban spaces of Rio, the struggles over the hegemony of the city and the social meanings the Olympics bring to the host city’s citizens. However, studies over the historical relationship between Rio, sport and media are rare. This paper addresses the historical uses of the term Olympic by Brazilian media during the late nineteenth and the early twentieth centuries. By looking at the main articles in the newspapers of these periods, we examine the extent to which ideologies over sports have changed the way the Olympics were represented in Brazil’s national imaginary. We demonstrate how the use of expressions associated with the Olympics historically generated a closer appreciation of these events by the public. We also show how political authorities appropriated the Olympics for their own benefit. The paper concludes by asking whether or not the historical lessons from the early Olympic ideas in Brazil have been learned by the 2016 Rio Games organizers.

为提升网络学术期刊的传播能力,提高网络学术期刊的发行质量,针对网络学术期刊的特点,围绕其发行与传播环境,并结合对2015年我国SCI收录期刊的实证分析,提出提升网络学术期刊传播能力的对策。网络学术期刊传播能力的提升,需要编辑树立互联网思维,需要建立健全多渠道的发行途径,重视标识符的使用以及重视挖掘语义出版等新出版模式。学术期刊的发展应顺应时代潮流,新元素和新出版模式的使用将成为网络学术期刊发展的必然趋势。     

浅析台湾电子书平台的运营特色和创新实践--以台湾电子书店Readmoo平台为例

电子书产业是信息社会中涌现出来的新兴业态,近些年来展现出巨大的发展潜力,台湾地区由于市场规模小,资源紧缺,往往难以实现产业发展中的规模效应。针对这一现状,台湾电子书平台在运营中另辟蹊径,以“创新性”“体验性”和“社交性”为发展方向,致力于丰富电子出版物的内容,提升平台的服务质量,培养读者的阅读兴趣,在实践中不断壮大电子出版市场。本文以台湾地区电子书城Readmoo平台的经营经验为例,深入分析台湾电子书平台的创新实践和运营哲学。
