Abstract The aim of this study was to assess the effects of acute passive stretching on the electrical and mechanical response of a previously fatigued muscle. Eleven participants underwent maximal tetanic stimulations (50 Hz) of the medial gastrocnemius, before and after a fatiguing protocol and after a bout of passive stretching of the fatigued muscle. During contraction, surface electromyography (EMG), mechanomyography (MMG), and force were recorded. The following parameters were calculated: (1) the EMG root mean square (RMS), mean frequency, and fibre conduction velocity; (2) MMG peak-to-peak and RMS; (3) the peak force, contraction time, half-relaxation time, peak rate of force development (dF/dt) and its acceleration (d2 F/dt 2). Fatigue reduced peak force by 18% (P < 0.05) and affected the other force, EMG, and MMG parameters. After stretching: (1) all EMG parameters recovered to pre-fatigue values; (2) MMG peak-to-peak remained depressed, while RMS recovered to pre-fatigue values; (3) the peak force, peak rate of force development and its acceleration were further reduced by 22, 18, and 51%, respectively, and half-relaxation time by 40% (P < 0.05). In conclusion, acute passive stretching, when applied to a previously fatigued muscle, further depresses the maximum force-generating capacity. Although stretching does not alter the electrical parameters of the fatigued muscle, it does affect the mechanical behaviour of the muscle–tendon unit. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to investigate the reliability of a new infrared light based method (IR40) for recording temporal stride patterns during treadmill running. The IR40 device, emitting a tight web of 40 infrared light beams 10 mm above the treadmill running surface, was compared to a previously
validated electro-pneumatic contact shoe (CS) method while nine well-trained athletes ran at 2.8, 3.3, 3.9, 4.4, 5.0, and
5.6 m s−1. Disconnection and reconnection of the IR beams marked the stance phase. The sampling rate was 500 Hz for both methods. The
stance phase duration was on average 11.5 (±8.4) ms longer with the IR40 than with the CS depending on earlier touch down (8.3 ± 6.2 ms) and delayed toe off (3.2 ± 5.3 ms) registrations. Significantly
different stance phases were recorded between all velocities and for both methods. Thus, despite the fact that the IR40 systematically measured a somewhat longer stance phase duration than CS, the IR40 is nonetheless useful for temporal stride analysis during treadmill running. 相似文献

The goal of the current study was to expand on previous work to validate the use of pressure insole technology in conjunction with linear regression models to predict the free torque at the shoe–surface interface that is generated while wearing different athletic shoes. Three distinctly different shoe designs were utilised. The stiffness of each shoe was determined with a material’s testing machine. Six participants wore each shoe that was fitted with an insole pressure measurement device and performed rotation trials on an embedded force plate. A pressure sensor mask was constructed from those sensors having a high linear correlation with free torque values. Linear regression models were developed to predict free torques from these pressure sensor data. The models were able to accurately predict their own free torque well (RMS error 3.72 ± 0.74 Nm), but not that of the other shoes (RMS error 10.43 ± 3.79 Nm). Models performing self-prediction were also able to measure differences in shoe stiffness. The results of the current study showed the need for participant–shoe specific linear regression models to insure high prediction accuracy of free torques from pressure sensor data during isolated internal and external rotations of the body with respect to a planted foot. 相似文献

The purpose of this study was to examine the interaction of players’ skill level, body strength, and sticks of various construction
and stiffness on the performance of the slap and wrist shots in ice hockey. Twenty male and twenty female subjects were tested.
Ten of each gender group were considered skilled and ten unskilled. In addition to general strength tests, each subject performed
the slap and wrist shots with three stick shafts of different construction and stiffness. Shot mechanics were evaluated by
simultaneously recording ground reaction forces from a force plate, stick movement and bending from high speed filming and
peak puck velocity from a radar gun. Data were analysed with a 4-way repeated measures ANOVA for several dependent variables
including peak puck velocity, peak Z (vertical) force, peak bending and stick to ground angles, peak angular deflection of
the shaft, and hand placement on the stick. The results indicated that: 1) the slap shot was much faster than the wrist shot
corresponding to greater vertical loading force, stick bending, and greater width of the hand placement; 2) the puck velocity
was influenced by skill level and body strength but not stick type; and, 3) that skilled players were able to generate more
vertical force and bend of the stick, in part, by adjusting their hand positions on the stick. Further studies are needed
to address the specific influence of body strength and skill on the techniques of these shots and in relation to stick material

某国产600MW汽轮发电机组投产以来存在低压转子支承轴承瓦振超标的故障问题。本文针对产生该振动问题的根本原因进行了分析,在此基础上在现场进行了增加低压缸支承轴承动刚度的尝试。最后利用机组几次临停机会,在机组低压1转子、低压2转子及低发对轮上加重,进行现场精细动平衡,将机组轴振降低到了50μm以内,从而使该机组低压缸瓦振得到控制。 相似文献

This study aimed to investigate the fatigue effects induced by a futsal-specific protocol (FIRP) on sprint performance and the kinematics of the lower limbs. Twenty-one futsal players participated in this study and performed a protocol to simulate the futsal demands. At pre-protocol, half-time and post-protocol, the athletes performed 10-m sprints that were recorded for kinematic analysis. Continuous relative phase (CRP) was calculated to assess the inter-segmental coordination. In addition, vertical (KVERT) and leg (KLEG) stiffness were calculated. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) for repeated measures was used (P < 0.05). The main results showed that sprint time increased (P < 0.01) post-protocol when compared to pre- and half-time conditions. Lower values of the step rate (P = 0.01) and higher values of the leg angular velocity (P = 0.02) were verified at the end of the FIRP. The CRP of thigh–leg and leg–foot and the stiffness did not change over the protocol. In addition, the high correlation of CRP between the conditions revealed no changes in coordination pattern. We concluded that futsal related-fatigue induced a decrement on sprint time, changing the kinematics of the lower limbs (decreasing step rate and increasing leg angular velocity). However, neither stiffness nor intersegment coordination during sprints was affected by fatigue. 相似文献

“Core” exercise is a basic part of many physical training regimens with goals ranging from rehabilitation of spine and knee injuries to improving athletic performance. Core stiffness has been proposed to perform several functions including reducing pain by minimising joint micro-movements, and enhancing strength and speed performance. This study probes the links between a training approach and immediate but temporary changes in stiffness. Passive and active stiffness was measured on 24 participants; 12 having little to no experience in core training (inexperienced), and the other 12 being athletes experienced to core training methods; before and after a 15 min bout of isometric core exercises. Passive stiffness was assessed on a “frictionless” bending apparatus and active stiffness assessed via a quick release mechanism. Short-term isometric core training increased passive and active stiffness in most directions for both inexperienced and experienced participants, passive left lateral bend among experienced participants being the exception (P < 0.05). There was no difference between the inexperienced and experienced groups. The results confirm that the specific isometric training exercise approach tested here can induce immediate changes in core stiffness, in this case following a single session. This may influence performance and injury resilience for a brief period. 相似文献
