教育社会心理学研究对象的特殊性及转向

教育社会心理学从20世纪70年代产生至今还缺乏严密的学科体系。学科体系的形成需要一个独特的研究对象、合理的逻辑起点。教育社会心理学的逻辑起点是“互动”的社会行为,研究对象不是在教育心理学中增加社会心理学的内容,也不是在教育心理学研究领域沿袭社会心理学的观点。教育社会心理学独特的研究对象应是教育心理学与社会心理学的有机结合,主要是研究在学校情境下,学生和教师在团体中进行互动的社会行为。     

Comparing Counseling and Clinical Psychology Practitioners: Similarities and Differences on Theoretical Orientations Revisited

The study compared the theoretical orientation preferences of practitioners of clinical and counseling psychology. A total of 221 participants (110 clinical and 111 counseling) completed a web-based survey. Theoretical orientation preference was assessed using a modified version of the Theoretical Orientation Profile Scale-Revised (TOPS-R; Worthington & Dillon in Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 36, 95–105, 2003). MANCOVA results showed that profession, gender, and years of clinical experience were related to choice of theoretical orientation. Counseling psychology practitioners indicated use of the feminist and multicultural orientations significantly more than clinical psychology practitioners. In contrast, clinical practitioners indicated use of the cognitive-behavioural orientation significantly more than counseling practitioners. The implications of these differences are discussed with respect to the training and practice of both clinical and counseling psychology practitioners.     

The pedagogical benefits of enacting positive psychology practices through a student–faculty partnership approach to academic development

Academic development that supports the enactment of positive psychology practices through student–faculty pedagogical partnership can increase faculty confidence and capacity in their first year in a new institution. When student partners practice affirmation and encouragement of strengths-based growth, processes of faculty acclimation and self-authoring can be accelerated. This article presents a student–faculty pedagogical partnership program and positive psychology practices that focus on faculty strengths and capacities as the foundation for reinforcing and revising existing pedagogical strategies and for sustaining energy for continued development. It combines collaborative autoethnographic and comparative case study approaches to investigate the pedagogical benefits of these practices.

Advisory work as assistance in problem-solving — Problem-solving models as basic concepts for advisory work

Abstract

This article summarises some basic concepts of advisory work, incorporated into novel forms of extension over the past half century at Hohenheim University, Stuttgart, Germany. It emphasis a certain understanding of advisory work: as support through “mental help” in structuring and restructuring by informing, motivating and enabling. Through exercises given in the article one can get the idea that problem situations are determined by one's own lack of insight and difficulties in breaking through the limitations of perceptions. The concept presented here in “stages of systematic problem-solving” starts with the perception of a problem by the client. The further critical steps are described within this process from perception of a problem towards solutions and evaluation of results. Two other models that are useful in thinking about problem-solving are also presented. Advisors should value them and be able to make use of them in a flexible way.
