我国大学生资助政策的优化与重构

本文回顾了我国大学生资助政策的形成与发展，在此基础上，提出了大学生资助政策中存在的问题，并认为现今我国大学生资助政策目标定位不清是问题的症结所在，进而提出大学生资助政策优化重构的建议：基于贫困生的特点和院校特征，大学生资助政策要贯彻“一个原则”和“两个区分”，并实现资助信息共享。

制图的教学过程是比较艰巨的，学生对制图的理解比较困难，要教好制图，可以注重以下几方面的问题；一是利用模型和教具等进行教学。二是利用课件进行多媒体教学。三、作为制图教师更需掌握一到二门CAD／CAM软件的操作，以便进行CAD／CAM与制图的一体化教学。

This article tells how Louisville Public Library created an assistive listening system for telecoil-equipped hearing aids in the auditorium of its main library. It is intended as an article that will help other libraries meet ADA standards for those with low hearing capacity.     

Slavery,Abolition, and Columbia University

Abstract

Institutional archivists can create finding aid tools for their collections that address timely and specific historical issues, such as connections to slavery profits, to manumission, and to anti-slavery and abolitionism. This article takes as its premise a Yale slavery web site of 2001, which drew some startling conclusions that were new answers to some very old questions about the relationships between slavery and the founders of institutions in the colonial and Revolutionary period. Slavery was ubiquitous in the North and a common thread among the founders of many kinds of institutions, colleges included. Institutional archivists can assist in identifying timely questions about momentous events and cultural issues by drawing attention to available resources, and by finding the answers.     

How Researchers Search for Manuscript and Archival Collections

ABSTRACT

By conducting a survey of a cross-section of researchers at six major research libraries, the author sought to determine the usefulness of specific online resources to find primary sources, to ascertain researchers' awareness of these sources, and to uncover their discovery methodology. The survey results demonstrate that the majority of researchers continue to utilize traditional methods of uncovering primary sources and do not take full advantage of online resources. The author offers four recommendations that archivists can implement to assist researchers with online discovery.     

Examining Search Functions of EAD Finding Aids Web Sites

ABSTRACT

This article examined the search functions for all individual EAD Web sites listed on the Library of Congress Web site in 2003. In particular, the type of search engine, search modes, options for searching, search results display, search feedback, and other features of the search systems were studied. The data analysis suggests that there have been some improvements for EAD finding aids within Web sites, but also that problems persist. In addition, the functionality of search systems on Web sites varied considerably and the advantages of EAD finding aids for hierarchical searching have not been fully realized. The article also offers observations about cooperative EAD projects, the issue of search queries, and the relationship between Google and EAD Web sites.
