世界优秀女子400m跑速度特征分析

采用动态分析法、数据统计法、因素分析法对第6、7届世界田径锦标赛女子400m决赛运动员的50m分段时间、平均速度进行分析统计。结果表明:为了防止后半程速度的下降,应延长400m跑的加速时间;8个50m分段的标准差越小匀速跑的能力越强,前3名选手都有较强的匀速跑能力;最快和最慢50m分段的时间差与运动成绩显著相关;第1名运动员启动速度较快,第2分段控制速度,在第5、6分段速度优势明显。     

高原训练对我国优秀竞走运动员血5项的影响

通过对参加第27届奥运会的国家竞走集训队中5名优秀运动员的血液5项指标的测试,对比研究竞走运动员在高原地区和平原地区训练期间前、后的血液变化情况,探讨高原训练对红细胞、血红蛋白、红细胞压积、红细胞平均容积和白细胞的影响.     

2001年全国游泳冠军赛接力项目接跳技术分析

为了提高我国游泳接力项目的水平，采用自动计时装置接力出发判断器对2001年全国游泳冠军赛接力项目全部参赛队的预、决赛接跳时间进行研究，发现大多数运动员和接力队的接跳时间处于较差水平，分析了接跳技术上存在的问题。研究证实当水下运动员在最后一次移臂动作臂出水时，接跳运动员开始做出发动作，接跳时间个人为0．10s，全队为0．30s是合理的评价标准。     

高校女子400m跨栏运动员栏间节奏的探讨

400m栏比赛的全程是由各个不同技术特征的若干段落所组成,通常把400m栏划分为五个阶段出发段、前程跨栏跑段、中程跨栏跑段、后程跨栏跑段和终点冲刺段.400m栏是人体极限运动项目之一,400m栏的关键是每一个栏周期的平均速度的平稳性,全程的速度分配、各栏间速度的发挥和利用程度,而保持速度的关键是栏间跑节奏的掌握.栏间步数、步长和节奏在400m栏中显得非常重要.     

Disciplinary containment: whiteness and the academic scarcity narrative

ABSTRACT

Amid rising controversy around the alleged distinctions between merit and excellence lies a familiar refrain, scarcity. The narrative of academic scarcity, proclaiming the insufficient numbers of scholars and academics of color, permeates conversations in higher education. We suggest that the academic scarcity narrative, a remnant of stagnant logics of diversity, circulates as a contemporary mechanism of what we name disciplinary containment. Extending disciplinary conversations around rhetorical containment, we argue that disciplinary containment perpetuates whiteness.     

On the elephant in the room: toward a generative politics of place on race in academic discourse

Abstract

In our conceptual essay, we draw on an exchange between a White scholar and a group of panelists on Critical Race Theory at an international conference. Taking up this exchange as our point of departure, we work in dialectical and multidimensional ways between the essentialized politics of place on race and critical anti-essentializing foundations in recent Critical Race Feminism and Critical White Studies’ literatures. Working the dialectics and multidimensionality of the place that race makes in academic discourse, we recognize and ethically work through the essentialized politics of place in advancing anti-essentializing understandings of race. In articulating these anti-essentializing understandings, our conceptual essay drives at the notion of a generative politics of place on race in academic discourse. A generative politics of place holds essentialized realities and anti-essentializing foundations of race in dialectical and multidimensional tension for teaching, learning, and discussing race in local, national, and international contexts.     

#OscarsSoWhite: how Stuart Hall explains why nothing changes in Hollywood and everything is changing

ABSTRACT

Stuart Hall’s work on culture, representation, ideology and hegemony positions Hollywood as a cultural institution informed by and informative of US social values and norms. Thus contemporary debates over Hollywood's diversity are indicative of broader social conflicts. Empirically the article examines 2014–2015 news coverage of Hollywood to question the Hollywood paradox—the lack of diversity in film/TV production yet TV’s increasing shift towards on-screen diversity. It maps three discursive frames: Hollywood exceptionalism, economic imperatives, and institutionalized racism and sexism. The article concludes by using Hulu’s East Los High to reflect on TV’s digital turn and innovative models in production and representation.     

The legend of Texas Western: journalism and the epic sports spectacle that wasn’t

This essay interrogates journalistic accounts of Texas Western College’s 1966 college basketball championship, a game in which an all-Black team defeated an all-White team. The analysis traces the evolving portrayals of the game over 45 years. In 1966 American journalists did not emphasize the racial aspects of the game and it was largely forgotten. Twenty-five years later, however, journalists reconstructed the game as a racialized legend, and this account evolved into an epic American narrative. The author argues that the epic portrayals, although aesthetically appealing, reflect problems with accuracy, appropriation, and commercial exploitation. The latter factor led to the legend’s motion picture adaptation as part of a troublesome “White Savior” cinema genre.

Voices of teacher candidates of color on white race evasion: ‘I worried about my safety!’

Abstract

This qualitative study investigated the negative impacts minority teacher candidates receive from white teacher candidates in a required multicultural education class. The findings reveal that four teacher candidates of color had difficulty positioning themselves among the overwhelming silencing power of whiteness in the class. The white students were tactful at evading power and race and flattening the existing hierarchical power relations through the discourses of colorblindness and by preying on the minority instructor. Their understanding of diversity was also shallow. On the other hand, the teacher candidates of color were afraid that they might be labeled as the ones who spoke up against the white students and fearful of the possibility of retaliation and ostracism from the white peers. It seems that the teacher education program’s structure allowed the white candidates to impose strong negative peer pressure on the teacher candidates of color.
