＂允公允能，日新月异＂：严修、张伯苓与南开中学

肇建于严氏家塾的南开中学是南开教育发轫的基础。其创立者严修是清末民初在教育领域最有影响的维新派人物之一。他秉承一切从实处去做的理念,创办了南开学校,并与张伯苓一起,逐步使南开中学变成了全国最好的中学之一。在此基础上,张伯苓又提出建立由小学到大学的南开教育体系,以保证南开精神能够贯彻如一。张伯苓在三育并举训练方针的基础上,提炼出“允公允能,日新月异”的南开校训,并以“公能”训练完成其塑造南开精神,育才救国的教育理想。     

Visual function,performance, and processing of basketball players vs. sedentary individuals

BackgroundAthletes tend to have better visuo-motor performance than do sedentary individuals. However, several basic visual-function and perceptual parameters remain unexplored to date. In this study, we investigated whether differences exist in visual function, performance, and processing between basketball players and individuals without a sport-involvement background.MethodsA total of 33 healthy men with no visual impairment or pathology were divided into 2 groups, depending on the involvement in sport (semi-professional basketball players and sedentary individuals). We tested their baseline heart-rate variability in the resting position apart from subjective questionnaires to determine their physical fitness level, and we checked their visual function, performance, and processing through an extended battery of optometric tests.ResultsThe 2 groups differed in resting heart-rate variability parameters (p < 0.001), confirming their dissimilarities in regular time practising sports per week. The basketball players showed a closer breakpoint and recovery nearpoint of convergence, a higher fusional-vergence rate, better discriminability halos, and better eye–hand coordination (all p values < 0.05).ConclusionThese results show evidence that athletes, basketball players in this case, exhibit better performance in several visual abilities in comparison to a group of individuals without sporting backgrounds, suggesting an improvement due to the systematic involvement of those skills during basketball practice.     

Making Plans for Michael: providing for a student with moderate learning difficulties in a secondary academy

The profile of a student with learning difficulties is described and also the learning context in 2017. Previous models of provision are then described in terms of their aetiology with discussion of strengths and shortcomings. Some influential features of curriculum planning and delivery are identified. A model of provision involving specific literacy teaching and differentiation is advocated.     

赋能存量 做优增量 把握变量——面向“十四五”的国内高校图书馆文献信息资源建设思考

[目的/意义]面向“十四五”的高校图书馆文献信息资源建设既是整体规划的重要组成部分,又是图书馆的服务保障与基础条件。明确编制过程、调研重点、发展思路与实施措施,对于高校图书馆中长期的文献信息资源建设战略有重要的指导作用和现实意义。[方法/过程]结合文献调研与行业观察和分析,采取案例研究、政策文本解读、比较研究等方法,总结高校图书馆制订文献信息资源建设“十四五”规划的策略与发展思路。[结果/结论]文献信息资源建设的总体思路是赋能存量、做优增量和把握变量,针对新发展阶段高校图书馆的目标与任务,提出具体的实施策略。     

全民健身服务体系中公益与商业的协调互动研究*

自从1996年国务院提出“全民健身工程”的概念之后，全面健身在全社会掀起了一股热潮，然而20多年过去了，全民健身这项公益事业的规模和水平还远未满足人民群众的要求，因此，今天人们又重新提出构建全民健身服务体系的新思路。全民健身对于政府来说是一项重要的公益事业，政府投入全民健身工程建设应以社会效益为其关注点。全民健身又是一个拥有庞大市场的商机，企业参与全民健身服务体系建设则应在公益法规之下获取有限的公益利益。平衡政府与企业间的利益才能真正使政府资金和民间资本协调配合，促使全民健身服务体系快速完善地构建起来。     

Striving to Be King of Mobile Mountains: Communication and Organizing Through Digital Fitness Technology

This study considers fitness-tracking applications as settings for communicative performances. Qualitative interviews and observations with 41 users of a cycling-focused fitness application revealed communicative themes of qualifying, social sharing, and withholding. Users also assessed other members through social-group comparing and upward comparing. This study develops theory by revealing how individuals use the technology to communicate about their physical acts, and how the context of use facilitates organizing processes. We argue that use of this fitness application extends our understanding of how communication can constitute a community of practice (CoP; Brown & Duguid, 1991; Lave & Wenger, 1991). Primarily, the hybrid online/offline nature of Strava complicates the traditional understanding of communication and CoPs.

襄樊市城区居民体育健身活动现状调查分析

本文采用问卷调查法、文献资料法、专家访谈法和数理统计法等方法,对襄樊市城区居民参加体育活动的现状进行了调查分析.结果表明,群众体育活动的经费渠道来源多元化,但仍显不足;运动设施有所改观,但资源配置不合理,管理欠规范;城市居民体育健身活动的消费意识显著增强,但仍局限于运动服装、器械等实物消费,参与型和服务型消费观念还有待增强;健身俱乐部的数量逐步增加,但经营规模小、管理水平低、可持续发展能力较差.本文针对上述问题提出了改变现状的意见与建议.
