Information-sharing in public organizations: A literature review of interpersonal, intra-organizational and inter-organizational success factors

Information sharing is considered an important approach to increasing organizational efficiency and performance. With advances in information and communication technology, sharing information across organizations has become more feasible. In the public sector, government agencies are also aware of the importance of information sharing for addressing policy issues such as anti-terrorism and public health. However, information sharing can be a complex task. Identifying factors that influence information sharing is critical. In the literature, research in information sharing focuses on the interpersonal, intra-organizational, and inter-organizational levels. This paper reviews the current information-sharing research, discusses the factors affecting information sharing at the three levels, and provides summative frameworks. These frameworks provide a means to discover future research opportunities, and a systematic way for practitioners to identify key factors involved in successful information sharing.     

浅谈中学英语教学中跨文化交际能力的培养简

近年来,随着改革开放步伐的加快,对外交往日益频繁,国与国之间的交流也越来越广泛,特别是社会信息化提高,国际互联网的开通使更多的人足不出户便涉及到跨文化交际。为了提升国人应用英语进行跨文化交际的能力,研究跨文化交际中的故障问题,对于中学英语教学有着重大的实际意义。     

中国奥运会冠军的选材和跨项选材研究

为了揭示中国奥运会冠军选材和跨项选材的成功经验,采用文献资料法、面谈和问卷调查法、数理统计法等,对我国251位奥运会冠军的选材特征进行了研究,获得以下结论:奥运会冠军的选材年龄渐趋低龄化,中国17.5%的夏季奥运会冠军是跨项选材的结果;竞技能力相近,制胜因素类似,动作结构相似的项目才有可能实现跨项选材;跳水项目45.5%的奥运会冠军初选练习项目为体操;篮球与排球,摔跤与柔道,田径投掷项目与要求突出力量水平的柔道等项目也存在跨项选材;夏奥会和冬奥会项目之间目前还没有出现跨项选材培养的奥运会冠军,冬奥会项目冠军之间也没有出现跨项选材;跨项选材的前提是在初选项目有较好的符合专项需要的体能和技术基础;跨项选材运动员终选项目年龄略大,但未错过终选项目竞技能力发展的敏感期;跨项选材是培养优秀运动员的路径之一。     

国际救灾法:一个正在形成的国际法律部门

国际灾害援助规范虽然不是新近才有的事物,但近些年来重大灾害频发,国际援助规模的扩大和媒体对灾害反应的关注使国际救灾中的协作、灾民的生存状态问题凸显出来.国际社会开始为解决这些问题建立法律机制作出努力,并取得了诸多成果,昭示着一个国际救灾法部门的产生.关于该部门的调整对象,国际法文件对“灾害”往往采用广义定义的方法以便利国际援助的扩大;救灾规范也涵盖到灾前准备和灾后恢复重建阶段.国际救灾法已经形成了一个包括诸多公约、决议和声明、谅解备忘录、行动守则、指南和标准等在内的法律框架,虽然这些规范还缺乏综合性、融贯性.国际救灾法的发展也促进了对这一法律部门研究的兴起.     

口头诗学：西部裕固语口头诗歌程式分析（下）

口头诗歌是口头程式理论的考察对象,声音是口头诗歌的一个重要特征,也是听众或者观众感知和欣赏口头诗歌的主要方式.在口头诗歌中声音的重复和呈规律性地出现构成了程式,同时也形成了口头诗歌的韵式.在西部裕固语口头诗歌的程式中,既有不同诗句之间形成的韵律形式,也有同一诗句内部呈现的押韵特点.     

The historian activist and the Gift to the Nation project: preserving the records of the Australian Red Cross

ABSTRACT

In 2014, as part of their centenary celebrations, the Australian Red Cross initiated a project in which it transferred archives to various national, state and territory institutions across Australia including the University of Melbourne Archives and the State Library of New South Wales. The transfer of this voluminous (but not complete) collection built on earlier transfers of archives to the State Library of South Australia and the Australian War Memorial. This paper charts the origins of the plan to donate the records to public repositories. It interrogates the societal provenance of those collections, recognising that the pluralising of records is an historical process, in which the agency of archivists, historians and administrators must be understood. An investigation of Red Cross records in Australia exposes that process in its contingency, inertia and, ultimately, enthusiasm. The paper also reveals the challenges faced by voluntary organisations in preserving their records, and how historians and archivists both can benefit from assisting such organisations. Finally, this paper argues that the ‘Gift to the Nation’ project, with its national and international significance, reflects a shift in our understanding of the First World War to a transnational paradigm that recognises the important role of voluntary organisations.     

Comparison of Alternative Channels in Cross Media Publishing

This paper attempts a direct comparison of the available alternative channels that can be employed in a cross media publishing scheme. More precisely it examines the content, the publishing speed, and the rhythm of the publishing channels. Interesting conclusions are drawn concerning the characteristics of each channel. A new publishing channel is proposed in order to allow newspapers to directly compete with radio and TV channels.     

Relationships amongst cultural dimensions,educational expenditure and class size of different nations

Many studies have concentrated on investigating educational expenditure and pupil–teacher ratio to see how these two factors can influence the quality of education. This study chooses to examine these two educational factors from a different perspective. If educational expenditure and pupil–teacher ratio really have a significant impact on the quality of education as many studies have claimed, it is important to step back and understand why some regions choose to have high/low educational expenditure and high/low pupil–teacher ratios. This study found that culture has an important impact on these two educational factors. Hofstede's cultural dimensions, namely Power Distance and Individualism, were applied and results showed that these two cultural dimensions, when applied to 43 regions around the world, demonstrated a significant impact on educational expenditure and pupil–teacher ratio.

本文从跨文化的角度探索新形势下的英语教学，阐明了语言与文化的关系、中西方文化的差异，以及中学生常犯的跨文化交流方面的错误和原因，并就当前英语教学中存在的问题提出了一些解决的办法。
