Explorations of the Gauss-Lucas Theorem

Abstract

The Gauss-Lucas Theorem is a classical complex analysis result that states the critical points of a single-variable complex polynomial lie inside the closed convex hull of the zeros of the polynomial. Although the result is well-known, it is not typically presented in a first course in complex analysis. The ease with which modern technology allows the plotting of zeros and critical points makes the result discoverable by students. We propose a visual investigation, followed by a series of exercises leading to different complete proofs of the theorem.     

On the value distribution of fnf(k)

This paper presents an inequality, by use of which some results about the value distribution of f nf (k) are proved, where n and k are two positive integers.     

Vicente Goncalves不等式的一个注记

In this paper, a new proof of the inequality of Vicente Gonqalves was given. The method may be powerful to deal with some problems of polynomials. As an application, a new inequality for the coefficients of a polynomial and its roots was derived.     

H(o)lder不等式在Bernstein多项式逼近计算上的应用

该文研究在Bernstein多项式逼近领域运用概率统计中的数字特征不等式的方法,用连续模来刻画Bernstein逼近函数f（x）的逼近阶的特征,并且利用这些不等式得到关于Bernstein多项式的逼近渐近展开式和逼近导数渐近展开式.     

关于Eisenstein判别法的进一步推广

对Ｅｉｓｅｎｓｔｅｉｎ判别法作了进一步推广，给出了判定整系数多项式在有理数域上不可约的又一定理及其５个重要推论．     

线性约束凸规划的一个新原-对偶路径-跟踪内点算法

In this paper, a primal-dual path-following interior-point algorithm for linearly constrained convex optimization （LCCO） is presented. The algorithm is based on a new technique for finding a class of search directions and the strategy of the central path. At each iteration, only full-Newton steps are used. Finally, the favorable polynomial complexity bound for the algorithm with the small-update method is deserved, namely, O（√nlog n/ε）.

重点论述通过数字图像处理的方法来对畸变图像进行修复.应用图像处理与分析的方法,提出了一种自动识别并计算控制点的方法,可自动生成全部控制点.实验表明,该方法简单、准确、有效,为几何畸变工作的全面自动化奠定了基础.最后利用双线性插值的算法和灰度插值的算法对图像进行修复.
