Society needs responsible leaders and entrepreneurs. CDIO (conceive, design, implement and operate) is a framework for engineering education based on outcomes, more than on contents, that has been adopted by a growing number of engineering educational institutions for producing the next generation of engineering leaders. In order to support engineering students to become entrepreneurs and to bear other concerns than merely technical on today's rapid changing world, the authors believe the CDIO syllabus needs to be improved, and therefore propose a pre requisite to a useful CDIO perspective: IdEF, standing for Identify, Evaluate and Formulate real problems and needs. Based on this concept, this paper describes a new pedagogical project framework (PUKHA - to project, to undertake, to know how to achieve). Within PUKHA projects, more than 300 students have trained and checked their will, risk, responsibility, communication, leadership and entrepreneurship over the last three years.  相似文献

This paper examines the career progress of female principals in Greek secondary schools and the under‐representation of women in management positions. Drawing on in‐depth interviews with six women principals in Athens, the paper considers the factors affecting women's participation in school management. The findings demonstrate that women are greatly under‐represented in secondary school management positions. The main reasons for this disadvantage are personal factors, covert discrimination, gender stereotypes and constraints experienced through their socially defined roles.  相似文献

二十年来,大规模学生评估对教育研究、学校体系和教育政策产生了深远影响。“国际中学生评估项目”(PISA)、“国际学生数学与科学能力动态项目”(TIMSS)和“国际学生阅读能力进步研究项目”(PIRLS)使各个国家学生成绩值具有一定可比性,由此,人们能更细致地从学校内部来观察不同国家学校工作的差异度。大规模学生评估还为学校发展、教育领导以及学生成绩的改进提供必要数据。本文以PIRLS为例,旨在从德国视角为中国今后开展大规模国际学生评估提供借鉴。  相似文献

校长教育技术领导力成为影响学校教育信息化发展乃至学校发展的重要因素。在分析基础教育信息化进程中校长教育技术领导力的基本内涵的基础上,采用互动分析数据描述校长教育技术领导力与学校信息化建设两者之间的关联,发现校长的教育技术领导力为学校信息化建设提供了巨大的内在动力,是学校发展信息化建设的核心因素,同时学校信息化建设的发展也会带动校长领导力的进一步提高,两者呈现一种良性的互动关系。该研究将为基础教育信息化建设提供一种具体思路,为校长信息化专业发展提供一种指向。  相似文献

运用问卷调查法,对我国摔跤教练员的领导行为对运动员信任、团队效果的影响进行了分析研究,结果表明:不同归属、项目类型、运动年限的运动员对教练员领导行为的认知存在差异,以及不同归属的运动员对团队效果认识存在差异,并且教练员领导行为与运动员信任、团队效果部分呈正相关.  相似文献

A multivariate random-effects meta-meta-analysis was conducted to synthesize the association between principal leadership and student achievement. A total of 12 prior meta-analyses with 18 effect sizes were included in this meta-meta-analysis. The quantitative analysis showed that principal leadership has a statistically significant positive relationship with student achievement (Cohen's d = 0.34). The qualitative analyses revealed that: (a) with the accumulation of knowledge, there appears to have been a trend toward more consistent and precise estimates of principal leadership's effect on student achievement; (b) there was still not enough evidence to argue a specific leadership model or practice is more effective in improving student achievement than others; and (c) the educational contexts seem to moderate the effect of principal leadership. The significance and limitations of the current study, as well as the recommendations for future research, are discussed.  相似文献

Teachers and scholars from the Central region have been leaders in Communication Studies virtually since the beginnings of the modern era of the field, beginning with the organization of what is now the National Communication Association. Our predecessors in the Central States were imaginative risk‐takers. They saw ways for our discipline to make greater contributions to students and to knowledge and they moved the field in those ways. Such movement is more difficult today, but no less important. The authors encourage innovation and suggest ways to make innovations possible, despite the difficulties.  相似文献

Transformational leadership: Its relationship to culture value dimensions   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This study examines the relationships between overall transformational leadership, as well as its five aspects (challenging the process, inspiring a shared vision, enabling others to act, modeling the way and encouraging the hearth) as identified by Kouzes and Posner, and Hofstede's culture value dimensions by investigating the responses of Pakistani, Kazakh and Turkish business students. The evaluation of the responses indicates that a significant and negative relationship exists between the uncertainty avoidance culture value dimension and overall transformational leadership. Further analysis revealed that some aspects of transformational leadership are found to be common, whereas others are culture-specific. The transformational leadership aspects such as challenging the process and enabling others to act were not found to be related to any of the culture value dimensions. Inspiring a shared vision and modeling the way were significantly and negatively related to uncertainty avoidance while encouraging the hearth was positively related to power distance.  相似文献
