浅谈职高英语教学中素质教育的渗透

全面推行素质教育，是向学科教师提出的新要求，它必然要求教师从学生实际出发，根据学生的个性特点进行教学。英语教师也不例外，要更新教学观念，创新教学方法，有效地将素质教育渗透于英语教学中。在教学中，必须拓宽学生的思维，丰富学生的想象力；必须培养学生良好的心理素质。     

语用能力的培养与英语口语教学

本文从分析语言能力、语用能力和交际能力之间的关系入手,提出语用能力是交际能力的一个重要组成部分,大学英语口语教学必须重视语用能力的培养;重点探讨了如何在口语教学中培养学生的语用能力,从而进一步提高交际能力。     

基于网络的交互式自主学习模式调查及优化探讨

网络辅助自主学习系统,是多媒体技术应用的一个很好的工具。本文通过问卷调查和访谈的形式,着重对武汉科技大学2010级新生使用《新时代交互英语》网络辅助自主学习系统的情况进行调查和分析,以期了解对其英语学习的促进作用以及使用过程中存在的问题。调查结果表明,该自主学习系统能创设良好的人机交互式学习环境,能有助于提高学生学习英语兴趣以及综合应用语言的能力。此外,该学习系统还存在一些亟待改进之处,如某些题目设置重复;难易梯度跨越大;口语跟读模仿模块缺少必要的监督程序等。     

商务英语专业英语演讲课教学的探索与思考

商务英语专业英语演讲课程对培养本专业人才具有重要价值。英语演讲课的开设有其语言学理论依据和心理学理论依据。必须选择适合商务英语专业学生的英语演讲课的教学内容，采用多种灵活有效的教学方法，如模仿、观摩演讲大赛、同伴互评、小组辩论赛等开展课堂教学。     

浅谈《英语国家概况》在专科蒙授英语专业教学中的作用

专科蒙授英语专业教学长期以来只注重语言知识的教学和语言技能的培养,而往往会忽视学生对英语国家社会、文化、习俗等方面的文化知识的培养和提高,导致学生文化差异较大、跨文化意识淡薄,影响和制约了对语言的准确理解和日常交际。本文通过对专科蒙授英语专业教学过程中《英语国家概况》教学的探讨,阐述了《英语国家概况》这门课对蒙授英语专业教学的重要意义及文化作用。     

Heart Rate Variability as a Predictor of Speaking Anxiety

This study examines the relations among the perception of speaking anxiety and difficulties in emotion regulation with 2 measures of physiological activity: heart rate (HR) and heart rate variability (HRV). Results show significant changes in HR and state anxiety, but not HRV, among the 6 experimental conditions: quiet, reading in both sitting and standing positions, and speaking in both sitting and standing positions. HRV significantly and negatively correlated with difficulties in emotion regulation and HR, but not with public speaking apprehension (PSA) scores or state anxiety ratings. PSA scores, however, were significantly and positively correlated with state anxiety ratings. Results are interpreted in terms of the simultaneous, coordinated operation of physical reactions and emotional coping strategies.     

“Yes …, But I Was Drunk”: Alcohol References and the (Re)Production of Masculinity on a College Campus

In residence halls on college campuses, one may hear a (male) student say, “Yes I did vandalize the wall, but I was drunk,” or “I ‘had a few’ before I kissed that ‘butter face’.” Researchers and university administrators could point to these as examples consistent with the problems of student drinking. They could also read these utterances as problematic performances of masculinity. Both groups would be correct. Ethnographers would seek to understand the underlying patterns of these statements, and ethnomethodologists the usefulness of these statements for actors in situ. This ethnography reports the findings of a study of student ways of speaking on a residential college campus. Data show that students’ patterned ways of speaking, especially when making references to drinking, mitigate problematic student behaviors, such as urinating in a corridor of a residence hall. Although such mitigating statements are, at times, by themselves problematic, they (re)produce a much more troubling masculinity.

Anxiety has an important influence on two language learning as one of the affective factors in language learning.People usually think that excessive anxiety can interfere with the learning of English,especially the spoken English.This paper mainly studies the reasons of causing anxiety,strategies of solving speaking anxiety and help students overcome affective barriers,enhancing the level of spoken english.
