Narrative accounts of US teachers' collaborative curriculum making in a physical education department

Through the use of narrative inquiry, this research study explores the collaborative curriculum making experiences of six teachers (three males; three females) in one physical education (PE) department in an urban middle school in the U.S. Collaboration; as defined in this work, this has to do with teachers’ voluntary interactions and their shared decision making in support of common goals. Where curriculum making is concerned, it refers to interactions between and among the four commonplaces of curriculum (teacher, learner, subject matter, milieu). The paper features the perspectives of the department head (female), experienced teachers (male and female) and teachers new to the profession (male and female). The narrative accounts of the individual teachers are set against the backdrop of the PE department with which they identify and within the storied history of the school in which they work. The story constellations representational form conveys the interrelatedness of the narratives and instantiates the teachers’ experiences of collaborative curriculum making. In the final analysis, this research enterprise makes a major contribution to the study of PE as well as to education generally. To date, no inquiries have focused on the collaborative curriculum making of teachers lodged in a PE department in one school context, despite collaborative curriculum making most closely reflecting how PE teachers typically approach the teaching task due to shared classrooms/gymnasiums/fields and the communal use of equipment.

团队网络结构、交互记忆系统与团队绩效关系的实证研究

基于社会网络视角,采用问卷调查法,以124个制造业生产团队为研究对象,对团队网络结构、交互记忆系统与团队绩效的关系进行探讨。实证研究结果表明,团队工具性网络强度与情感性网络强度对交互记忆系统有显著的正向影响;团队网络的非中心度对交互记忆系统有积极影响;交互记忆系统与团队绩效有显著的正向关系,并受到任务不确定性的调节作用。     

农村教师职前培养：问题、策略与建议

《国家中长期教育改革和发展规划纲要（2010-2020年）》提出要“创新和完善农村教师补充机制”。创新和完善农村教师补充机制,提高农村中小学教师队伍整体素质,必须首先重视和加强农村中小学教师的职前培养工作,充分认识加强农村教师职前培养和补充的客观要求,认真分析影响农村教师职前培养和补充方面所存在的问题,提出创新和完善农村教师补充机制、提高农村教师职前培养质量的策略和建议。     

社区学院教师的自我导向学习准备度研究

社区教育教师是社区教育工作主力军,社区教育教师专业化程度也越来越成为影响社区教育发展水平的重要因素。本研究选取112位社区学院教师作为研究对象,以性别、年龄、学历、工龄和单位性质等个人身份因素为变量,使用SPSS统计分析软件,研究其与自我导向学习准备度的相关性。并基于研究结果,提出相关对策和建议。     

大学英语教师信息技术能力的培养及其教学应用

Significant networks and meaningful conversations observed in the first-round applicants for the Teachers’ Academy at a research-intensive university

The University of Helsinki established a Teachers’ Academy to reward excellence in teaching. This study focuses on teachers’ significant networks and their meaningful conversations about teaching and learning before the establishment of the Teachers’ Academy. The research data consisted of answers to open-ended questions, and were examined using social network analysis. The teachers’ network consisted of significant relations with (1) colleagues and other teachers, (2) peers in pedagogical courses and pedagogical experts, (3) students, and (4) family members and friends. The conversations with different parties varied in nature, content and the level of confidentiality.     

“博罗队事件”探析

惠州、广州等地沦陷后,东南亚惠侨发起了东江华侨回乡服务团。1939年5月,根据各方报告,国民党断定服务团已为中共占据并实施中共之活动,因而对服务团的态度由初期的赞扬转变为监视、设法取缔。1940年1月,国民党广东军队取得第一次粤北大捷,加之日益浓厚的反共氛围,国民党广东军政当局制造了"博罗队事件",以此作为解散服务团的前奏。事件发生后,成员逐步流入中共领导的东江纵队,成为华南抗战的重要力量。     

Team learning in IT implementation projects: Antecedents and consequences

This study investigates the antecedents and consequences of team learning, which is composed of information acquisition, dissemination, and implementation, in information technology (IT) implementation projects. By investigating 129 IT implementation project teams, we found that (1) information acquisition and information dissemination have a positive impact on project outcomes, such as speed-to-users, lower implementation cost, and operational effectiveness, and (2) team behavior and enabler variables, such as teamwork, team communication, interpersonal trust between team members, team commitment, and senior manager support, positively influence team learning. We also found that team anxiety moderates the relationship between team learning and project outcomes.
