Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven chatbots, such as ChatGPT, have significantly impacted education, especially for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. However, there is paucity of empirical evidence concerning the role of chatbots in psycho-emotional constructs like well-being and emotion regulation. It is important to address this issue because it can further our understanding of the ways through which using ChatGPT affects psycho-emotional constructs in EFL learners. This study aimed to unpack the intersection between using ChatGPT and well-being, with a focus on the mediating role of emotion regulation in the EFL context of Iran. Using convenience sampling, 492 EFL learners (205 males and 287 females) were invited to complete validated scales measuring ChatGPT use, well-being, and emotion regulation. The outcomes of structural equation modelling revealed a strong mediation effect of emotion regulation in the relationship between using ChatGPT and well-being. Additionally, significant positive correlations were found between using ChatGPT and both well-being and emotion regulation. Besides, a significant positive relationship was established between emotion regulation and well-being among the EFL learners. The results imply that the integration of ChatGPT into the Iranian EFL learning environment can be beneficial, considering its positive correlations with both well-being and emotion regulation among the Iranian EFL learners. 相似文献

This study examined perceived social-emotional competence (perceived-SEC) and its links with students' social-emotional motivation (i.e., autonomous and controlled motivation) and behavior (parent-reported prosocial behavior and conduct problems). Five types of perceived-SEC were examined: perceived competence for assertiveness, tolerance, social regulation, emotion regulation, and emotional awareness. With data from 414 Australian students, structural equation modeling demonstrated that an overarching (global) perceived-SEC factor was positively associated with autonomous motivation, introjected regulation, and prosocial behavior, and negatively associated with conduct problems. Two specific dimensions also had unique associations with the behaviors: Perceived competence for social regulation was negatively associated with external motivation and conduct problems, and perceived competence for tolerance was positively associated with autonomous motivation. In turn, autonomous motivation was positively associated with prosocial behavior, whereas external motivation was positively associated with conduct problems. Findings hold relevance for efforts aiming to understand the role of motivational drivers of students' social-emotional competence. 相似文献

以绥化市1 288名普通高校大学生为研究对象,对大学生冬季体育锻炼行为、重视体育锻炼的程度、体育锻炼的动机、体育锻炼项目和冬季体育锻炼行为的影响因素进行了调查研究。结果显示:多数大学生能够参加体育锻炼,但经常参加体育锻炼的人数相对较少,男大学生参加锻炼情况明显好于女大学生;大部分大学生对体育锻炼的重视程度比较积极,对体育锻炼的重视程度越高,大学生越倾向于参与体育锻炼;大学生参加体育锻炼的主要动机是强身健体、兴趣爱好、休闲娱乐和提高自我形象;男生的锻炼项目主要为滑冰、跑步、雪地足球、篮球、滑雪、排球和游泳等,女生的锻炼项目主要为滑冰、跑步、羽毛球、健美操、乒乓球、排球、滑雪等项目;大学生冬季锻炼行为的主要影响因素表现在经济、学习、设施、天气、教师与家长认可等方面。 相似文献

ABSTRACT Adaptive regulation of emotions is imperative for successful sport performance. However, the lion’s share of mainstream emotion regulation (ER) literature is founded on perspectives prioritising mental health, not performance. Consequently, ER strategies are predominantly classified as adaptive or maladaptive based on effectiveness in achieving targeted mental health outcomes. These conventional mental health classifications can catalyse misapplication of ER strategies within sport and other motor performance contexts when (1) ER motives are instrumentally directed towards performance enhancement and (2) Minimal consideration is given to the consequences of ER on the coordination and execution of motor actions. Herein, we review the current state of relevant ER research within and outside of sport contexts. We also present a novel conceptual framework, the Temporal Influence Model of Emotion Regulation (TIMER). TIMER proposes that ER strategies exert distinct, temporally dependent demands upon perceptual-cognitive and motoric resources. These unique regulatory profiles influence subsequent motor performance outcomes. Critically, the degree to which regulatory strategies are appropriate or ideal varies given environmental constraints along with performers’ affective and performance goals. The model includes testable hypotheses to guide theoretical and applied research in the domain of ER within sport and other motor performance contexts. 相似文献
