Predicting transition and adjustment to college: biomedical and behavioral science aspirants’ and minority students’ first year of college

The purpose of this study is to explore key factors that impact the college transition of aspiring underrepresented minority students in the biomedical and behavioral sciences, in comparison with White, Asian students and non-science minority students. We examined successful management of the academic environment and sense of belonging during the first college year. Longitudinal data were derived from the Higher Education Research Institute’s (HERI) 2004 Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP) Freshman Survey and the 2005 Your First College Year (YFCY) Survey. Using a reformulation of the integration model (Nora, Barlow, and Crisp, 2005), we find concerns about college financing, negotiating family support and responsibility, and campus racial dynamics (perceived and behavioral) affect student adjustment and sense of integration in the first year. 通过进一步研究发现,王尽美共接受11年学校教育,先读了4年私塾,又插班读完初等小学,接着又读了2年高等小学,接受了3年师范教育,并没有取得山东第一师范学校的中师毕业文凭,所以,王尽美是高小毕业;1923年前后,王尽美离开山东与尹宽、陈独秀没有任何关系;王尽美病故前对同事是有交待的,对此还需进一步挖掘。

设G=（V,E）是一个图,G的Geometric—Arithmetic指数（简称GA指数）在某些化学物品的物理性质方面具有良好的预测作用．通过计算,给出了直链、锯齿链四角系统和转向细胞个数为1的链状四角系统的GA指数公式;证明了六角系统中完全冷凝苯类的GA指数是其转向六边形个数和分枝六边形个数的单调递增函数．
