《活着》带来的生命启示

余华在《活着》中描写了一系列触目惊心的死亡,平实地叙述了福贵的一生。看似残忍,但却传达出积极的生命,体现的是对生命的关怀。     

荒原：绝望里的希望与重生

《荒原》里充斥着绝望,但绝望并不是死亡。它的魅力,即在看似已麻木的绝望里所流露出的对灵魂复苏的希望和对生命重生的渴盼。《荒原》里存在着一个给人厚重感的向心圆状网一一病态的荒凉是外圈,绝望的挣扎是内圆。由外到内,从历史到现实,从意象到象征,层层递进,步步清晰,而这些也正源于《荒原》里贯穿始终的“形而上激情”。     

From the Point of View of Sport

Zero-sum aspects of sport have generated a number of ethical concerns and a similar number of defenses or apologetics. The trick has been to find a middle position that neither overly gentrifies sport nor inappropriately emphasizes the significance of winning and losing. One such position would have us focus on the process of trying to win over the fact of having one. It would also ameliorate any harms associated with defeat by pointing out that benefits like achievement, excellence, and moral development are available to winner and loser alike. Relying on the notion of ‘frame’ introduced by Polanyi, I argue that this approach underplays the poignant drama of sport (including the sting of defeat) and thus, seeks redemption at too high a cost. I argue for a version of red-blooded competition that is justified more by transcendence than mitigation, more by a willingness to play again tomorrow than civility during any single contest. I analyze sport in terms of its receptivity to such repetition and find that epistemological uncertainty, enhanced by the presence of chance in sport, renders repeat engagements both sensible and attractive. I conclude that sport verdicts, unlike outcomes in war, business, and love, do not settle things. Rather they invite both winner and loser alike to ‘play again tomorrow’.     

在迷茫与颓废之中吟咏希望--冯乃超《红纱灯》和《现在》的比较分析

文章联系冯乃超早期诗歌创作,对其代表作<红沙灯>和<现在>两首诗进行了深入的剖析;既指出了其诗歌风格与象征诗派其他诗人的不同之处,也联系20世纪中国新诗发展的历史,总结了其成败得失.笔者认为面对"新诗作者比新诗读者还要多"的现状,探讨和研究冯乃超早期的诗歌创作,对于今天的新诗创作而言,不仅具有某种参照价值和启迪价值,而且对于新诗的未来也将会产生深远的影响.     

Intergenerational Discussions as a Curriculum Strategy: Modeling Audacious Hope in Action

This article builds upon the idea of audacious hope in action described by Generett and Hicks in “Beyond Reflective Competency: Teaching for Audacious Hope-in-Action.” Outlining the difficulties that teachers experience sustaining hope, the author describes the survival strategies used by African Americans to remain hopeful when there was little evidence to support such a stance. This article proposes that intergenerational conversations with African Americans who are committed to social change can be an effective curriculum strategy for teacher educators seeking to incorporate a hopeful stance into their curriculums. Gretchen Givens Generett is an Associate Professor in the School of Education and Social Sciences at Robert Morris University. Her current research investigates the role of hope in education and the challenges of working for social change in mixed communities.

本科生幸福感与心理资本的状况及其关系

采用问卷法对370名本科生进行调查,考察本科生幸福感与心理资本的特点、影响因素及其二者的关系。研究结果发现：本科生幸福感处于平衡状态,其心理资本态势发展良好;不同生源地、年级本科生幸福感与心理资本存在一定的差异;家庭经济状况是影响本科生心理资本的重要因素;幸福感与心理资本之间存在显著相关性。

Hope and fear in education for sustainable development

Education for sustainable development represents a politically prioritized area of knowledge in contemporary Swedish education and as such it has acquired a prominent position among the governing values of educational policy. Insofar as education for sustainable development is directed at securing the future of human well-being, this article suggests that it concerns a moral discourse where notions about what may or may not happen in the future plays an important role in the governance of practices and behaviors in the present. Since the future is shrouded in uncertainty, it is suggested that the emotions of hope and fear may be understood in terms of tools for governing the everyday lives of children, invoking alluring and deterrent images that influence their decision-making. Besides seeking to gain a better understanding of some of the preconditions of education for sustainable development, the aim of this article concerns an investigation into some of the effects that education for sustainable development may have on the lives of children. To this end, it looks at how hope and fear are being put into play within the discourse as strategies for governing individuals in relation to the uncertainty of the future.

《等待戈多》是贝克特的代表作,也是荒诞派戏剧的代表作之一。作者用荒诞手法表现了世界的荒诞性,人们用荒诞的行为来对这个荒诞的世界提出希望,而希望只能在荒诞的等待行为中进行。同时,也体现了人们对这个荒诞的世界最终还是存在了一线的希望,因为人们是抱着希望才去等待的。
