Data Mining for Web Site Evaluation

Abstract

This paper evaluates the actual use of a course Website by graduate social work students. The study utilized data mining techniques to discover meaningful trends by using the data from server logs. The course Website was accessed 24,730 times by all 49 graduate students during a semester. The students utilized the course Website 23 hours a day, 7 days a week, day and night, evening hours, and weekends. The most popular area was the course documents area and the least popular was the student area. Study findings have implications for distance learning in higher education.     

我国校企合作研究二十年综述

校企合作是产学合作教育开展的前提,然而我国校企合作目前仍然处于"剃头挑子一头热一头冷"的境地。为总结校企合作的经验,梳理校企合作的研究成果,分析校企合作研究的不足,对1992年到2011年间我国教育类重要刊物上发表的校企合作研究成果从校企合作的重要性、校企合作中的学校内部体制改革、校企合作的内涵、校企合作的模式、校企合作的运行机制五个方面进行了综述,并分析了当前校企合作研究五个方面的不足以及未来校企合作研究的方向。

普通高校本科教育评价是高等教育发展的必然和依据,通过构建评价指标体系,对指标进行定性和定量分析,将模糊综合评判、层次分析法、OWA法进行耦合,建立了教育评价数学模型,对模型进行了求解,得到了较好的评价结果。

Ranking Romanian academic departments in three fields of study using the g-index

The scientific performance of 64 political science, sociology and marketing departments in Romania is investigated with the aid of the g-index. The assessment of departments based on the g-index shows, within each of the three types of departments that make up the population of the study, a strong polarisation between top performers (very few) and weak performers (much more numerous). This alternative assessment is also found to be largely consistent with an official ranking of departments carried out in 2011 by the Ministry of Education. To conduct the evaluation of departments the individual scientific output of 1385 staff members working in the fields of political science, sociology and marketing is first determined with the aid of the ‘Publish or Perish’ software based on the Google Scholar database. Distinct department rankings are then created within each field using a successive (second-order) g-index.     

关于构建区域经济发展水平评价指标体系的思考——以粤东四市2011年数据为例

区域经济发展普遍存在不均衡现象,过度的发展差距将对整体经济发展水平会起到严重的制约作用。研究区域域经济发展水平评价指标体系有着重要的现实意义,依据指标体系建立原则提出由经济发展因素、社会发展因素、政府管理因素、对外开放因素和区域创新因素5个大类25项具体指标构成的指标体系,并建议采用因子分析法运用该指标体系对区域经济发展水平进行综合评价。运用该指标体系结合粤东地区汕头、潮州、揭阳和汕尾4市2011年统计数据对该区域经济发展水平作出综合评价,评价结果能比较客观反映各城市的经济发展情况。     

信息技术应用有效性的评价指标体系研究——以初中物理课堂教学为例

文章论述了信息技术教学应用有效性评价指标体系构建的过程与方法。以促进学生高阶思维能力发展为信息技术应用的价值取向,文章将高阶学习作为信息技术有效应用的主要标准参照,依据活动理论和高阶思维、高阶学习相关理论,构建出学习活动设计和学习活动实施两个维度下包含学习目标、活动任务、资源工具、操作交互、活动规则、学习成果等六个一级指标和十三个二级指标的评价指标体系理论模型,并在此基础上以初中物理课堂教学为例,采用分析教学案例的方法,获取评价量规设计的实践依据,为指标项的具体描述提供参考,从而进一步设计出信息技术在初中物理课堂教学中有效应用的评价量规。     

Activity theory: A framework for design and reporting on research projects based on ICT

We propose using activity theory as a basis for designing and reporting on research projects that focus on information and communication technology (ICT) as a means to support educational processes. Adopting the theory, we describe teaching/learning activities mediated by ICT using a three level analysis: epistemological, methodological, social assistance. The analysis has been applied to the design and reporting of projects in both mathematics education at primary school level and training in technical innovation in commercial enterprises.
