“基于价值的管理”(value-based management)是近十年来管理会计发展的新成果。它不仅代表了传统管理学中计划与控制理论和管理会计系统设计的不确定性理论的拓展,而且明确地将最近发展起来的一系列被其他许多管理会计理论研究所忽略的“创新成果”,如ABC、BCC等有机的结合起来,是管理会计发展历程中的一个新体系。     

Towards productive critique of large-scale comparisons in education

ABSTRACT

International large-scale assessments and comparisons (ILSAs) in education have become significant policy phenomena. How a country fares in these assessments has come to signify not only how a nation’s education system is performing, but also its future prospects in a global economic ‘race’. These assessments provoke passionate arguments at specialist conferences and in scholarly journals and they are just as passionately debated in the media. Within academe, ILSAs are researched by sociologists and psychometricians, policy experts and statisticians. This multidisciplinary, multi-voice discussion has not always served to highlight the complexity of the issues involved. Instead, discussions across various groups of actors have often led to a polarisation of views and a hardening of stances. Large-scale comparisons have deeply divided academic opinion with regard to their validity, usefulness and use. The divergence in ontological commitments, methodologies and paradigms of research makes discussions among one set of scholars almost incomprehensible to another. New theories, concepts and vocabularies are urgently required to engage productively with this important phenomenon. Borrowing concepts from Science and Technology Studies (STS) and the history and sociology of numbers, I argue that understanding such comparative exercises as socio-technical assemblages would move the critique of large-scale comparisons in education in more productive directions.

研究形如F=α＋∈β＋2kβ2/α-k2β4/3α3的（α,β）型Finsler度量的性质,给出此度量为Douglas度量的一个充分必要条件,其中α：=√αij（x）yiyj是黎曼度量,β：=bi（x）y是1-形式,∈和k≠0都是常数.     

Adding Value to Usage Statistics: The Journal Usage Statistics Portal (JUSP) Enhancements

The Journal Usage Statistics Portal (JUSP) provides a single point of access to journal usage data from participating publishers on behalf of UK academic libraries. In August 2011 JISC awarded funding to develop two value-added enhancements to support existing service provision and help libraries assess the value and impact of e-resources. This article describes the development of these enhancements and their impact.     

WelServe: The DBMS for Capturing and Tracking Welch Medical Library's Embedded Informationist Service Delivery at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions

ABSTRACT

WelServe is the database management system Welch Medical Library developed for quantitative assessment of services. The informationist team uses WelServe to capture data about direct service contacts with members of the research, clinical, and academic units at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. WelServe data is used for library management and for reporting productivity data to higher units, including the Welch Advisory Committees, composed of deans and managers from the hospital and the schools of nursing, public health, and medicine. WelServe also supports reporting for the American Association of Health Sciences Libraries and the Association for Research Libraries.     

Core Journal Lists: Classic Tool,New Relevance

Reviews the historical context of core journal lists, current uses in collection assessment, and existing methodologies for creating lists. Outlines two next generation core list projects developing new methodologies and integrating novel information/data sources to improve precision: a national-level core psychology list and the other a local institutional core list for the interdisciplinary field of urban studies and planning. The paper is based on the authors’ panel presentation at the 2009 ACRL National Conference (Seattle, Washington) titled “Core Journal Lists Re-viewed and Re-imagined.”     

基于PLOS API的论文影响力选择性计量指标研究

以PLOS API平台提供的"论文层面计量"数据集为样本,对20个选择性计量指标进行标准化处理和正态性检验,提出选择性计量指标的适用广度和分布密度两个特征,通过Spearman相关分析方法得到非参数相关系数矩阵,利用R程序包Corrplot绘制系数矩阵的可视化颜色图,直观显示出选择性计量指标的相关程度;利用SPSS、Ucinet和NetDraw软件对选择性计量指标进行多维尺度和社会网络分析,得到的指标维度虽有细微差异,但基本呈现一致性。最后,总结选择性计量指标的主要作用、适用范围和难度。     

How to Drink From a Fire Hose Without Drowning: Collection Assessment in a Numbers-Driven Environment

As collection budgets have dwindled, library acquisitions has become a data-driven field that relies on hard numbers. Libraries are struggling with the demands of adapting to a numbers-driven environment, both from a personnel and a data management perspective. This article includes a literature review, survey results, and practical advice that can be applied to most library environments. A model of transferable outcomes is introduced that encourages libraries to create a data pool of statistical information that can be applied to collections decisions in a variety of ways to quantify the impact of library resources to the broader community.     

An Introduction to Altmetrics

Altmetrics, or alternative metrics, are forging a new way to capture the impact of not only articles, but also scholarly or research “products” by tracking them when they are mentioned online, such as in blogs or social media platforms. While altmetrics have a lot of potential, there are also some limitations preventing their full acceptance alongside traditional citation metrics. This column will explain the basics of altmetrics and altmetric tools, discuss some of the ways they can be used in libraries, and explore some possible concerns with this new metric. A list of resources for additional information is also included.
