高校自主招生的价值偏离——基于青海、浙江两省4所中学的调查

通过对浙江省和青海省两省4所中学的调查发现,高校自主招生的价值出现了偏离,主要表现在高校自主招生背离了政策制定的初衷、高校自主招生违背了公平性原则、高校自主招生的效率低下几个方面。

Bias in child maltreatment self-reports using interactive voice response (IVR)

Few methods estimate the prevalence of child maltreatment in the general population due to concerns about socially desirable responding and mandated reporting laws. Innovative methods, such as interactive voice response (IVR), may obtain better estimates that address these concerns. This study examined the utility of interactive voice response (IVR) for child maltreatment behaviors by assessing differences between respondents who completed and did not complete a survey using IVR technology. A mixed-mode telephone survey was conducted in English and Spanish in 50 cities in California during 2009. Caregivers (n = 3,023) self-reported abusive and neglectful parenting behaviors for a focal child under the age of 13 using computer-assisted telephone interviewing and IVR. We used hierarchical generalized linear models to compare survey completion by caregivers nested within cities for the full sample and age-specific ranges. For demographic characteristics, caregivers born in the United States were more likely to complete the survey when controlling for covariates. Parenting stress, provision of physical needs, and provision of supervisory needs were not associated with survey completion in the full multivariate model. For caregivers of children 0–4 years (n = 838), those reporting they could often or always hear their child from another room had a higher likelihood of survey completion. The findings suggest IVR could prove to be useful for future surveys that aim to estimate abusive and/or neglectful parenting behaviors given the limited bias observed for demographic characteristics and problematic parenting behaviors. Further research should expand upon its utility to advance estimation rates.     

Engineering students’ sustainability approaches

Sustainability issues are increasingly important in engineering work all over the world. This article explores systematic differences in self-assessed competencies, interests, importance, engagement and practices of newly enrolled engineering students in Denmark in relation to environmental and non-environmental sustainability issues. The empirical base of the article is a nation-wide, web-based survey sent to all newly enrolled engineering students in Denmark commencing their education in the fall term 2010. The response rate was 46%. The survey focused on a variety of different aspects of what can be conceived as sustainability. By means of cluster analysis, three engineering student approaches to sustainability are identified and described. The article provides knowledge on the different prerequisites of engineering students in relation to the role of sustainability in engineering. This information is important input to educators trying to target new engineering students and contribute to the provision of engineers equipped to meet sustainability challenges.     

From study to work: methodological challenges of a graduate destination survey in the Western Cape,South Africa

Current literature proposes several strategies for improving response rates to student evaluation surveys. Graduate destination surveys pose the difficulty of tracing graduates years later when their contact details may have changed. This article discusses the methodology of one such a survey to maximise response rates. Compiling a sample frame with reliable contact details was most important, but may require using additional sources of information other than university records. In hindsight, graduates should have been contacted prior to the survey to introduce it and stress its importance, while email and postal reminders appeared to have a limited effect on non-respondents. Due to varying response rates between participating universities, online responses were augmented with a call centre administering the survey telephonically to non-respondents. Although overall differences between online and telephonic responses appeared to be small, certain question items may need to be treated with caution when conducting telephonic surveys.

基于一定的语料,从构成、语义和语用的角度分析和探讨“不是A是B”新旧构式之间的关联及各自特点。分析结果表明,与旧构式相比,新构式中通常A项属于具体名词,B项属于抽象名词;语义上,主体通过A所描述的方式来消除或获得B所表示的状态;语用上,通过否定某一事实的现象来达到揭示其本质的日的,可视作一种话语策略性手段。

从习近平参观《复兴之路》展览时提出实现中国梦以来,迅速掀起了研究中国梦的热潮,发表了许多研究成果。笔者仔细研读了2013年国内外有关中国梦的研究成果,从中国梦的内涵、特征、精神支撑,中国梦的发展历程、理论来源、价值取向,中国梦的实现条件、实现路径及实践主体等方面,梳理了中国梦的研究成果及其发展动态,以求更好地推进中国梦的研究。

哈尔滨市老年人口的增长具有高龄老人增速加快、多数老人收入偏低、过半数老人身体状况欠佳等特点,老龄化问题突出且严峻。而社区体育的开展有利于老年人合理地利用闲暇时间,形成科学、健康、文明的生活方式,也有利于延缓老龄化进程,从而促进哈尔滨市健康老龄化。     

关于家校合作培养小学生健康心理素质的调查报告

面向家长的问卷调查结果显示：家长在转变教育观念,掌握正确教育方法,营造和谐家庭氛围等方面需要得到学校的指导。同时,学校应在拓宽沟通途径,增大开放空间,培养专业人员等方面加以重视,使家校合作发挥更大合力,促进学生健康心理素质的形成与提高。
