豫北地区猪源致病性大肠杆菌油乳剂灭活疫苗的研制

用从河南省豫北地区大型种猪场发病猪群分离到的致仔猪黄痢、白痢6个大肠埃希氏菌优势血清型菌株O2,O139,O101,O138,O20,O60的两次培养物,经0.4%的福尔马林灭活48h,添加油乳佐剂充分乳化,制成地方性猪大肠埃希氏菌灭活苗,含菌量为150亿/mL.分别于产前30d和14d两次免疫妊娠母猪,剂量2mL头,使初生仔猪从母乳中获得较高含量的大肠埃希氏菌抗体,具有对抗黄痢、白痢发生的免疫力。     

A Game for the Global North: The 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang and South Korean Cultural Politics

Abstract

The South Korean region of Pyeongchang will host the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Using Wallerstein’s world system theory and Collins’s notions of zones of prestige and emulation as a conceptual framework, this paper examines the South Korean Government’s intention to stage the winter sporting spectacle. As the Winter Olympics is arguably considered a game for the relatively affluent global north, South Korea, as a semi-core state, attempts to elevate its position to a global economic and cultural powerhouse through being a host of this winter sports mega-event. However, it should be noted that the Winter Olympic Games is an event through which white supremacy and Western cultural hegemony are continuously reinforced. Therefore, the South Korean ambition to enhance its international standing by staging the Winter Olympic Games paradoxically reflects Western cultural imperialism and Orientalism embedded in South Korean cultural politics associated with the winter sporting contest.

An investigation into the effect of a NATE/Becta training programme on the use of interactive whiteboards in teaching and learning in Secondary English

This paper describes the evaluation of the impact of a training programme in the use of Interactive whiteboards in Secondary English lessons. It is based on work commissioned from NATE by Becta that produced the publication, Entitlement to ICT in Secondary English ( NATE, 2002 ). Drawing from the work of Kress (2003) , the author argues that new technologies can help teachers to address confidently aspects of multimodality that are a core aspect of the New Literacies. Data collected from a small sample of Secondary English teachers who engaged in the training suggest that all teachers benefited from the training; however, it was found that there has been insufficient support in schools to date for the development of fully confident practice.     

Audience Matters: Teaching issues of race and racism for a predominantly minority student body

Some of the literature about teaching issues of race and racism in classrooms has addressed matters of audience. Zeus Leonardo, for example, has argued that teachers should use the language of white domination, rather than white privilege, when teaching about race and racism because the former language presupposes a minority audience, while the latter addresses an imaginary or presupposed white one. However, there seems to be little discussion in the literature about teaching these issues to an audience that is in fact predominantly minority. Leonardo assumes that minority students need little convincing about the reality of white domination, but students of color are not a monolithic group. The paper addresses some specific challenges the author has faced teaching theories of white domination to a predominantly minority student audience in New York City. Leonardo is right that audience matters, but audience turns out to matter in ways that defy common assumptions.     

“White supremacy in heels”: (white) feminism,white supremacy,and discursive violence

ABSTRACT

As a progressive intervention into patriarchy, feminism has traditionally centered (white) women's experience, yet when sex and gender are combined with race, feminism tends to lose its progressive edge. We argue that (white) feminism ideologically grounds itself in a gendered victimology that masks its participation and functionality in white supremacy. By erasing women of color, positioning women as victims of white male hegemony, and failing to hold white women accountable for the production and reproduction of white supremacy, (white) feminism manifests its allegiance to whiteness and in doing so commits “discursive violence”. We end with calling for ideological intersectionality as a possible corrective.
