论中国科学界的性别分化与性别隔离

科学技术作为一种专门职业正吸引着越来越多的知识女性的参与。但科研职业生涯方面的性别差异仍然存在 ,这与传统的劳动性别分工及性别隔离这些制度性结构障碍密切相关。本文将侧重于分析影响男女科学家职业生涯分化的结构性障碍 ,说明其生涯道路差异的表现和原因。     

Production of carotenoid sarcinaxanthin by Kocuria palustris isolated from Northeastern Brazil Caatinga soil and their antioxidant and photoprotective activities

BackgroundThis study aimed to produce carotenoids of two bacterial strains obtained and isolated from Caatinga soil in Northeastern Brazil and to evaluate their antioxidant and photoprotective activities. The morphological identification of bacteria was performed by Gram staining and molecularly confirmed through the 16S rRNA gene. The production of carotenoids was performed on two 2³ factorial designs to analyze the influence of independent variables (temperature range, luminosity, agitation, spiral presence, and bacterial isolate type) for maximum carotenoid yield. The selected condition has been transferred to a bioreactor (10L). The identification of carotenoids was performed by liquid chromatography (HPLC) and mass spectrometry (LC-MS). Antioxidant activity was determined by inhibiting the β-carotene/linoleic acid system and the effectiveness as sunscreen was measured through its sun protection factor (SPF).ResultsThe results revealed that the isolates FT-7.22 and FT-5.12 were identified as Kocuria palustris; producers of a rare C50 carotenoid sarcinaxanthin. This is the first report on the production of carotenoids by this species from the Caatinga Domain. The pigment that was obtained from the Tryptic Soy Broth (TSB) medium in the best conditions of the factorial designs (increased agitation, aeration, and light exposure) exhibited a significant increase in the carotenoid production. The isolated FT-7.22 reached a higher sarcinaxanthin concentration (112,480 μg/L), and it exhibited promising antioxidant (76.53 ± 0.09%) and photoprotective activities (SPF = 9.36 ± 0.52).ConclusionsThis study demonstrated the ability of K. palustris to produce carotenoid sarcinaxanthin with antioxidant and photoprotective activities so that it can be applied in cosmetic formulations.How to cite: Mendes-Silva TCD, Vidal EE, de Souza RFR, et al. 海洋生物医药产业是我国海洋战略性新兴产业,发展空间广阔.文章分析了我国海洋生物医药产业发展现状,采用龚柏兹曲线对我国海洋生物医药的成长性进行了测度,把握我国海洋生物医药所处阶段,并分析了在此阶段中我国海洋生物医药所存在的问题,最后针对具体问题提出发展我国海洋生物医药产业的对策建议,即加大政府扶持力度,积极培养海洋专业技术型人才,扩大市场需求.     

我国生物多样性保护的主要进展及工作建议

生物多样性是人类赖以生存的物质基础。我国高度重视生物多样性保护工作,积极采取了一系列卓有成效的行动和举措,促进了我国生物多样性的保护和物种恢复。然而,受人类活动影响,全球生物多样性面临的形势仍然严峻,需要各国同心协力,加强全球生物多样性保护。文章系统整理了近些年我国在生物多样性保护方面的举措,以及中国科学院在生物多样性研究领域的若干工作,并对我国今后生物多样性保护工作提出建议。

‘Just Say No’: public dissent over sexuality education and the Canadian national imaginary

ABSTRACT

Scholars of sexuality have argued that ‘moral panics’ about sexuality often stand in for broader conflicts over nationality and belonging. Canada has spent decades cultivating a national image founded on multiculturalism and democratic equality. The Ontario sexuality education curriculum introduced in 2015 drew audible condemnation from a variety of groups. Drawing from Critical Discourse Analysis and Critical Race Theory, we argue that the public discourse surrounding these protests exposed the limits of Canadian pluralism, fuelling a meta-debate about the ‘Canadianness’ of recent immigrants and the incompatibility of liberal values with those of non-Westerners, especially Muslims. We explain this in terms of contextual factors such as Ontario’s publicly funded Catholic school system and anti-Muslim xenophobia in the post-9/11 era. Our analysis speaks to the importance of intersectional social justice efforts as part of the movement for comprehensive sex education.

以开放式问卷为基础编制的中学生性别角色观量表，分为男性量表和女性量表，均具有良好的信度和效度。因素分析得到男性量表八个维度：情感和爱心、能力、男性特质、领导、事业、女性特质、社交、占有；女性量表六个维度：事业、女性特质、社交、占有、男性特质、被动。
