运用现代教育技术构建电大导学课教学模式

本文讨论分析了现代教育技术及现代教学模式的本质特征和相互关系,认为现代教育技术作为现代教学模式的技术基础,将促进“以学生为中心”的教学模式、学习方式、教材样式的改革。文章讨论了构建电大导学课的教导模式的方法,并提出构建新型教学模式应注意的几个问题。

Airtime for Newcomers

This article explores the British and West German public service radio’s abilities to reflect on and to address the specific needs and expectations of migrant groups in their programmes between the 1960s and 1980s. Mechanisms of social inclusion and exclusion alike can be investigated here. Empirically, it is based on comparisons of radio broadcasts on and for different immigrant communities, produced by BBC Radio Leicester on/for the post-war Asian migrants in England and by West German public service broadcasting on/for ‘Gastarbeiter’ (foreign workers) as well as for ‘Spätaussiedler’ (German repatriates from East Europe). Radio is studied as an agent of identity management and citizenship education. Not only did radio talk about migrants and migration to introduce these topics and the newcomers to the local population. It also offered airtime to selected migrant communities to cater for their needs and interests as well as to facilitate their difficulties of adjusting to an unfamiliar environment.     

Public service broadcasting,children’s television,and market failure: The case of the United Kingdom

Domestically produced children’s television is frequently highlighted as both an area of market failure, and also as an area where children’s changing consumption habits necessitate new and different ways of thinking about funding children’s content across a range of platforms. In the light of a recent U.K. proposal to set up a Public Service Content Fund to support “genres” under threat, including children’s programming, this article considers how you fund diverse high-quality children’s content in a more challenging media environment where children’s content is arguably still a market failure “genre.” The first part of the article provides context by outlining the market failure characteristics of children’s content as a framework for analyzing the validity of market failure arguments across a range of platforms. It then investigates the causes of perceived market failure in the U.K. children’s television production market. The final part examines the implications of recent U.K. policy responses to provision for children that seek to address market failure through (1) the possible introduction of a contestable fund for public service content; (2) more stringent obligations on the British Broadcasting Corporation; and (3) the re-imposition of quotas on commercially funded public service broadcastings (ITV, Channel 4, Five). Drawing on regulatory and stakeholder responses, it concludes that attempts to overcome market failure in U.K. children’s television appear unsuited for funding the longer-term curation, distribution, and discovery of new types of content on platforms other than broadcasting.     

Conservation from conception: Commissioning an installation by Cai Guo-Qiang

Over a period of six years, the Queensland Art Gallery / Gallery of Modern Art and Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang developed and realized the major art installation Heritage (2013). The artwork comprises 99 life-sized imitation animals congregating at a waterhole and covers 1104 m² of floor space. This paper reviews aspects of the commission, construction, and completion of Heritage – a very large-scale, technically complex contemporary installation. From commission to acquisition, the project was a highly collaborative undertaking and is an interesting example of unconventional conservation. This paper, written from curatorial and conservation perspectives, describes this cooperative endeavour.

论广播电视大学的教学方法创新

本文通过分析广播电视大学的教学特点,指出了当前广播电视大学在教学方法上存在的主要问题,提出要建立创新的教学理念和实践创新的教学方法,使教学实践活动成为激励广播电视大学学生奋发学习、启发思维和勇敢探索创新的综合过程。     

远程开放教育中非正式制度教育现象的研究与思考

本文主要通过网络问卷、网络观察、访谈法和扎根研究等研究方法,对国内某省级广播电视大学的班级网站这一非正式制度教育现象进行调查研究和思考。文章首先介绍了班级网站的发展历程、研究样本、研究方法和研究过程等;然后,对班级网站的基本情况和应用现状予以描述,着重分析了学生使用班级网站的目的、沉默的大多数现象;最后对班级网站这一教育新事物加以总结和批判。文章认为,远程开放教育发展日趋社会化,非正式制度教育现象越来越多,教育研究者必须跳出教育的范畴,远程教育研究应该走进学习者的日常生活之中,关注他们的人际交往和情感沟通,加强远程教育的社会学研究。
