More Powerful Tests of Simple Interaction Contrasts in the Two-Way Factorial Design

For the two-way factorial design in analysis of variance, the current article explicates and compares three methods for controlling the Type I error rate for all possible simple interaction contrasts following a statistically significant interaction, including a proposed modification to the Bonferroni procedure that increases the power of statistical tests for deconstructing interaction effects when they are of primary substantive interest. Results indicate the general superiority of the modified Bonferroni procedure over Scheffé and Roy-type procedures, where the Bonferroni and Scheffé procedures have been modified to accommodate the logical implications of a false omnibus interaction null hypothesis. An applied example is provided and considerations for applied researchers are offered.     

湘中紫色土丘岗区农业生态工程优化模式的效益分析--以衡南县谭子山镇工联村为例

湘中衡阳盆地紫色土丘陵岗地分布广泛，这里普遍植被稀疏，水土流失严重，部分地区甚至基岩裸露，土地荒芜，呈现红色荒漠化现象。本文以衡南县工联村为例，针对湘中紫色土丘岗区综合开发项目示范区的农业生态工程优化模式，采用层次分析法和对比分析法，分别从生态效益、经济效益、社会效益和综合效益等方面进行1990年与2001年的对比分析。结果显示，工联村农业生态经济系统的生态效益、经济效益和社会效益指数均有显著提高，并已由非生态农业阶段发展进入到良性生态农业阶段，为湘中紫色土丘陵综合治理、农业生态工程建设和农业结构调整提供了一个良好的示范。

Regarding learning: Children’s drawings of learning in the classroom

This article explores drawings of learning in the classroom made by a class of 6 to 7-year-olds in a UK primary school. The drawings were analysed by considering the choices that children made in their drawings in terms of four themes: self and social relations in learning, the physical environment, learning activities, and learning and behaviour. These are discussed using five drawings as examples. A wide range of images was used by the children, although some drew common views of learning. The article warns against assuming that we know how a young person views their learning, or that a class of children share a common view of it. It is also suggested that talk about such drawings can make a contribution to a joint exploration of understandings of learning by teachers and children.

中小学科技素质教育中存在的问题及对策

科技素质教育是技术创新的基础。面对知识经济的挑战，我国的中小学教育模式，已不适应经济变革和社会发展的需要。特别是科技素质教育十分薄弱，具体表现在科技师资水平偏低、教学内容陈旧、教学方法单一、重科学知识传授轻科学能力培养、教育经费短缺等，惟有提高教师的科技素质，改革旧的课程内容、教学方法，改善办学条件，才能提高中小学校学生的科学素质。

80年代末我国高等教育开始实行招生收费制度改革。本文从政策影响、政策事实和政策价值方面对我国高校收费政策进行分析,认为现有收费水平偏高,对教育公平产生了消极影响。教育公平是社会和谐发展重要基石,教育政策的首选价值应是教育公平。
