The Central Eurasian Interactive Atlas Project: A Progress Report

SUMMARY

Since 2000, researchers and staff at the University of Washington have been developing a unified Geographic Information Systems database of Russian Federation socioeconomic, demographic, and political information at the raion and city (gorsovet) level. The Central Eurasian Interactive Atlas (CEIA) that has grown from this effort serves both to archive and to provide access to annual progressions of standardized geographic and tabular data covering the entire Russian Federation at a level of geographic detail not readily available elsewhere. As the CEIA grows, it will serve as a curricular and research focus of the UW's Russian, East European, and Central Asian Studies program.

试析二战后初期英国的马来亚联邦计划的出笼与夭折

在太平洋战争期间，英国开始制定战后重返马来亚的殖民计划。1946年1月，英国政府颁布了对马来亚白皮书即马来亚联邦计划，立即引起马来苏丹的强烈反对。马来人和华人对联邦计划也反应不一。由于种种原因，马来亚联邦计划仅实施了近一年半便告终，英方被迫恢复战前的统治方式。     

Religious education in Russia: factors of non-religious parents’ choice

ABSTRACT

It was in 2012, when in Russian schools the subject ‘Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics’ was introduced. Parents of students are given the opportunity to choose from six different modules. Among the modules there are ‘Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture’, ‘Fundamentals of Islamic Culture’, ‘Fundamentals of Jewish Culture’, ‘Fundamentals of Buddhist Culture’, ‘Fundamentals of World Religious Cultures’, ‘Fundamentals of Secular Ethics’. However, the parents’ choice is due to a variety of objective and subjective factors. The purpose of this paper is to elicit the degree of influence of four factors on the choice of modules within the course of ‘Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics.’ To study the case, a polyethnic region of Russia – the Republic of Bashkortostan, has been chosen. In this paper, the influence of four factors will be gradually revealed: the ethnic factor, the religious factor, the urban factor, and the factor of the educational environment. Studying the influence of factors determining the choice of modules demonstrates that the choice of modules is a compromise of many parties of interest: parents, students, teachers, clergy, and educational institutions.

国际体操联合会创立100多年来,为推动世界体操运动的发展做出了不懈努力,不仅使体操成为奥运会3大支柱项目之一,而且将体操运动打造成深受全世界亿万民众喜爱的体育项目。近年来,国际体操联合会以"让体操成为运动之王"为发展目标,以改革创新为动力,推出了一系列新举措。文章对近年来国际体操联合会推出的一系列已经实施和准备实施的竞赛改革新政进行整理与分析,为更深入地了解国际体操联合会的改革动态提供参考依据,助力我国体操运动的赛事改革与项目群发展。     

无机胶水的使用对中国乒乓球队的影响分析——以2008世界乒联巡回赛总决赛为例

本文以2008年国际乒联巡回赛总决赛为研究对象,对男子和女子比赛的过程和结果呈现的特点加以分析。浅要解释了无机胶水与有机胶水的区别,分析了无机胶水给中国乒乓球男女队以及世界乒乓球运动发展所带来的影响,文章运用了文献资料法、录像观察法。     

中华全国体育总会改革与发展研究

面临国家管理社会化的时代背景,"小政府,大社会"的改革目标,面临社会结构的变化和体育运动进一步发展的内在需求,全面推进中华全国体育总会改革与发展,具有重要现实意义.研究认为,在"一个机构,两块牌子"的组织模式下,中华全国体育总会的有效性缺失;由于政府部门的直接管理和管制,使其与运动项目协会的联系并未建立起来;中华全国体育总会改革滞后已对地方体育总会改革与发展构成严重制约.从赋予中华全国体育总会实质职能、建立完善以中华全国体育总会为核心的社团组织架构等方面提出改革与发展建议.
