评“社科期刊编排规范化”

《中国高等学校社会科学学报编排规范》是在《中国学术期刊(光盘版)检索与评价数据规范》基础上制作完成的,带有明显的光盘版特征和痕迹,而后者则是基于电子网络平台的电子版规范,它的作用和功能主要是用于对原创学术论文以及期刊源的检索与评价。《中国高等学校社会科学学报编排规范》不仅存在着"形式主义化"的问题,而且存在大量违背《著作权法》以及国家标准的条款,由于它不适合纸质期刊的编排规律和实际,因而遭到越来越多的批评。"新规范"的思想认识基础,不外乎两条:一是认为随着全球化的到来,"与国际接轨"是必然的,因此,在标准的制定上要国际化,甚至不惜与中国的传统全面"脱轨";二是认为随着信息化、数字化、网络化时代的到来,印刷型期刊"为文献检索与计量评价机构提供服务"是必然的要求。     

中国科学院优博论文奖获得者培养环境及其学术成长分析——以中国科学技术大学为例

优秀博士论文奖获得者培养过程中的内外部环境对其成长发挥着关键作用。本文以中国科学技术大学2004年至2010年间62位中国科学院优博论文奖获得者为例,对其培养环境和学术成长进行分析,并在此基础上就科研拔尖创新人才培养提出一些具体措施。     

Real time exploration and management of large medical volumetric datasets on small mobile devices—Evaluation of remote volume rendering approach

In this paper I present the architecture of system that can be used for real time exploration and management of large medical volumetric datasets. The new state of the art solution presented in this paper is an example of visual data management system. System prototype evaluation proved that it is possible to use low-powered (and cheap) up-to-date mobile devices with programmable GPUs as the remote interfaces for exploration of large volumetric medical data. The implementation was done with high-level programming language that enables portability between different hardware models. The lack of lossy compression enables to display high quality medical images visualizations without any simplifications and noises in frequency domain. The prototype of system is capable to remotely render and send to a client (for example cell phone or tablet) rendered data with frequency 30 fps with limited resolution during interaction. One second after the interaction is finished client machine receives full resolution image. The evaluation of the system was performed on volumetric computed tomography angiography image with approximate size 512³ voxels.     

Mapping the importance of the real world: The validity of connectivity analysis of patent citations networks

Recent empirical findings have questioned the use of patent citations as a measure. This points to the need of validation of patent citations methodologies, which we address by testing a recent methodology for studying technological evolution, namely connectivity analysis of citation networks. We find connectivity analysis to be a valid tool to identify the reliable knowledge which opens the way to further technological evolution of a surgical prosthesis, the artificial spinal disc. We also illustrate how connectivity analysis represents how this reliable knowledge differs depending on the stage of technological evolution. The corroborated validity of connectivity analysis of patent citations may trigger a renaissance in the use of this kind of patent data.     

中文译著中外国个人责任者标目的选取

规范工作是图书馆编目工作中非常重要的一部分。清华大学图书馆现已建立了名称规范文档，实现了规范控制，使得责任者标目的选取日趋规范，进一步增强了书目的检索功能和集中功能。在各种标目的选取中，中文译著中外国个人责任者的标目选取最为复杂，本文将从多方面对此进行探讨，并针对当前工作中存在的具体问题提出建议。     

从戚云方编《外贸英语》看教材的滞后性

外贸英语是一门与社会实践有着密切联系的课程，但在教材编制上存在着一些亟待解决的问题。本文试图以戚云方先生编著的《外贸英语》（函电与谈判）一书为分析对象，说明外贸英语课程在教材编排方面存在着较普遍的滞后性，提出编著内容不仅要紧跟实际，还要特别注意内容的科学性和适用性。     

国外高校国家安全教育的研究及启示

世界各国在发展教育的过程中,都有一个共同趋势,即不同程度地开展国家安全教育。不少国家在高校国家安全教育中,探索了有效的教育模式,积累了丰富有益的经验,形成了可供借鉴的做法。     

Joint ventures and technology adoption: A Chinese industrial policy that backfired

To spur technology transfer, emerging market policymakers often require foreign firms to form joint ventures (JVs) with domestic firms. Through knowledge spillovers, JVs may reduce technology acquisition costs for domestic firms. Yet domestic firm rents from JVs could discourage innovation through a cannibalization effect. Which force dominates is an empirical question. I address it with novel data on China's auto sector. In response to fuel economy standards requiring firms to upgrade technology or sacrifice quality, firms with JVs reduced quality and price relative to their counterparts. Consistent with cannibalization, firms with JVs drive the negative effect.
