唐代西域诗研究综述

唐代西域诗是唐代诗苑中一束独具情韵的异域奇葩,其描写对象丰富独特(包括胡地风光,胡汉战争,胡人、胡马、胡酒、胡食、胡服、胡妆、胡乐、胡舞等),诗中充满浓郁的异域情调、民族风味、文化色彩。西域诗显示了唐人以昂扬奋发为基调的主体精神的高扬与心灵世界的扩展,体现出了唐人审美趣味的多元化特征,又在一定程度上增强了唐诗刚健开放、自由爽朗的气质,拓展了唐诗的境界。但令人遗憾的是,长期以来,唐代西域诗研究并未得到人们足够的重视。论文对唐代西域诗研究现状进行了梳理,在肯定成绩的同时,指出其有待进一步开掘之处,并期待唐代西域诗研究新局面的到来。

Teaching, morality, and responsibility: A Structuralist analysis of a teachers’ code of conduct

In this paper we conduct a Structuralist analysis of the General Teaching Council for England’s Code of Conduct and Practice for Registered Teachers in order to reveal how teachers are required to fulfil an apparently impossible social role. The GTCE’s Code, we argue, may be seen as an attempt by a government agency to resolve the political and ideological tensions that emerge in a society that grapples with the paradox of revering individual autonomy whilst simultaneously being dependent upon state-delivered services like a national education system. In such a situation it seems that teachers are a locus in which these tensions collide. However, the GTCE’s attempt to bridge the philosophical gaps provides an opportunity, we conclude, for teachers and teacher-educators to explore the differences between public myths of the teaching profession and the lived reality of life in the classroom.     

元上都扈从诗中的边塞诗风

大多数身为翰林大臣的扈从诗人随扈皇上往来于大都与上都之间的经历,丰富了他们的人生视野和创作素材。恢弘的草原景象、变化无常的气候、诗人的怀乡情怀、粗犷的边塞生活、豪迈的民族精神、深沉的历史积淀等,培养了诗人豪迈、乐观的主体情感。这使他们能够敏感地把握住具有鲜明边塞特点的诗歌意象,创作出一系列具有鲜明边塞况味的诗歌作品,形成了浓郁的边塞诗风。这是盛唐以来边塞诗风的赓续,也是元代民族与时代精神特点的写照。     

Routine and strategic maintenance efforts: behavioral patterns,variations associated with relational length,and the prediction of relational characteristics

The goal of the present study was to examine the patterns of relationships between routine and strategic maintenance enactment. Data were collected from 189 individuals in a romantic relationship. Results indicated that positivity and sharing tasks were more often performed routinely than strategically. Second, moderate to strong, positive correlations were found among the strategic use of maintenance behaviors, and also moderate to strong, positive correlations among the routine use of maintenance behaviors. However, virtually no relationships emerged between the routine and strategic use of maintenance. Next, both strategic and routine maintenance efforts were important in predicting satisfaction and commitment, but routine maintenance was slightly more important in predicting both satisfaction and commitment. Finally, three significant, positive correlations were found between the length of the relationship and routine maintenance performance (network, conflict management, and sharing tasks), and one significant, negative correlation was found between the length of the relationship and the strategic use of openness.

元朝是中国历史上一个极具鲜明特色的朝代,其统治具有鲜明的蒙汉二元性特征。在统治政策的制定上,既有有对蒙古传统的继承,又有对汉族文化的吸收,也有新的发展及演变。本文从元朝的政权机构及制度建设、民族政策、边疆治理等几方面简要地对元朝的统治进行分析。     

Bring on the Shock Troops: Artists and Gentrification in the Popular Press

Gentrification is one of the most important and talked about contemporary urban issues. Critics have tended to treat the class remake of urban neighborhoods as a geographical and sociological phenomenon. This article critically examines gentrification as symbolic action. Focusing on press coverage of artist-led gentrification, I argue that reporters present a diffusion narrative that casts artists as both urban pioneers and victims of gentrification and glosses over the function of artists as the first gentrifiers in some urban neighborhoods. Ultimately, press accounts of artists as victims of gentrification reflect an underlying desire to find and maintain bohemian spaces in the face of homogeneous and sterile corporate urban revitalization projects that have contributed to a broader sense of urban placelessness. Yet, this vision is based on a bohemian image of the city that consists of young white artists while stigmatizing (through a frontier discourse) the more diverse population(s) that lived and worked in the urban neighborhood prior to the arrival of the artists.     

Pranking rhetoric: “culture jamming” as media activism

This essay explores the practice of “culture jamming” as a strategy of rhetorical protest. Specifically, “pranksters” deploy the tools of the mass media and marketing in order to take advantage of the resources and venues they afford. Through the concept of “pranking,” this essay suggests that the most promising forms of media activism may resist less through negation and opposition than by playfully appropriating commercial rhetoric both by folding it over on itself and exaggerating its tropes.     

The measurement of production efficiency in scientific journals through stochastic frontier analysis models: Application to quantitative economics journals

The importance of a scientific journal is usually established by considering the number of citations received by the papers that the journal publishes. In this way, the number of citations received by a scientific journal can be considered as a measure of the total production of the journal. In this paper, in order to obtain measures of the efficiency in the production process, the approach provided by stochastic frontier analysis (SFA) is considered, and econometric models are proposed. These models estimate a frontier production, which is the maximum achievable number of citations to the journal based on its resources. The efficiency can then be measured by considering the difference between the actual production and the estimated frontier. This approach is applied to the measurement of the productive efficiency of the journals of the JCR social sciences edition database, which belong simultaneously to the areas of “economics” and “social sciences, mathematical methods”.
