冷战与美国在越南的特种战争(1961-1963)

1961年 1月约翰·肯尼迪就任美国总统后 ,继续推行反苏反共的冷战政策。当时 ,中苏分歧的公开化为中美关系的接近创造了机会 ,但美国并未抓住机会 ,反而加强了对中国的遏制力度。为此 ,美加大对越南的干涉和战争 ,使之升级为“特种战争”。越南劳动党最终不得不放弃和平的斗争战略 ,掀起抗美救国战争。中国给予越南全面援助。苏联为增加与美争夺较量中的砝码 ,对于越南也进行一定的援助。在中苏两国的帮助下 ,越南挫败了美国发动的特种战争。     

杜威职业教育思想初探

杜威作为有重大影响的教育理论家,教育实践家,其教育思想构成了一个庞大的理论大厦,其中包含着丰富的职业教育思想,他认为：职业是指任何形式的连续不断的活动,它与化修养并非以往人们所认为的那种对立关系,而是一种被包含与包含的关系,职业教育的实施首先需要建立普通课程和职业课程并重的课程体系,共次需将课堂教学、实验室,工学更替制三综合开展及以“从做中学”为原则进行作业训练,教师在此中也应时刻仔细观察儿童,走入儿童生活,灵活地进行职业指导。     

The Arts and Open‐Mindedness

Open‐mindedness is typically considered an intellectual virtue that brings humans into (closer) contact with reality and its complexities. In this essay, Susan Verducci expands the ways we typically think of cultivating open‐mindedness in classrooms to include the practice of engagement with the visual and performing arts. Working with the arts allows students and teachers to perceive and embody realities they would not normally experience. Specifically, the arts enable the drawing forth and exploration of multiple and subjective interpretations; the arts can therefore be uniquely productive in opening minds by helping one negotiate human perceptual constraints, by providing opportunities to enter standpoints other than one's own, and by encouraging the practice of living with uncertainty and ambiguity.     

Doing,knowing, caring and feeling: exploring relations between nature-oriented teaching and preschool children's learning

Research has shown that early childhood science education is based on education and care, sometimes stressed as a dichotomy. The purpose of this study is to empirically investigate the relations between teachers' teaching and children's learning in preschool practice, both in terms of educative processes and nature-oriented content. The ambition is also to develop and present an analysis method that facilitates these investigations. Outdoor nature experiences of preschool children (aged one to three) were video-recorded, transcribed and analysed. The methodology is based on John Dewey's pragmatic philosophy. Here, epistemological move analysis (oriented towards teachers' guiding processes as moves) and substantive learning quality analysis (oriented towards multi-dimensional learning qualities) are developed and used as analysis tools. The analyses show that the relations between teaching and learning processes and nature content are intertwined and include education and care. The teachers guide towards aesthetical, moral, cognitive and physical qualities in learning by challenging, admonishing, instructional, confirming, generative, reorienting and reconstructing moves. The results contribute to nature-oriented teaching practice and nature-oriented preschool research when discussing and investigating teaching and learning processes and nature content.

Opening The Box of Delights

Both the device and the book called The Box of Delights construct a vision of childly imagination by playing with genre and through the use of myth and magic. Crime and adventure genres are subverted by Kay Harker's, and thereby the reader's, self-consciousness, and by privileging the fantastic; myth is presented as reality at its most intense, vivid, and sublime, apprehended with a child's sense of awe. Good magic is social, old, and childly; evil magic is selfish and new. Magic is a plot manoeuvre, but is more profoundly a metaphor for the child making sense of the world.
