Meeting Information Needs through Global Partnerships: A Roadmap to Becoming a Global Health Sciences Library

Abstract

Supporting global health priorities through the development of robust health science librarianship partnerships is of significant importance. Increased demand for synthesizing evidence-based information, collating quality resources, and increasing research productivity to improve human health requires integration of library and information science skills and expertise. The Health Sciences Library (HSL) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), exists to be an indispensable partner in health information and knowledge, teaching and learning, and research. As global efforts at UNC expanded, the HSL sought to ensure that our global engagement strategy and integration were aligned with campus priorities and partner needs. The HSL created a global research partnership plan: identify resources that improve efficiency, increase access to information, build in-country capacity and expertise—all while strengthening collaborations across multiple countries. Creating a meaningful and sustainable engagement strategy was central to envisioning our path forward and can be used as a framework for consideration by librarians in similar settings.     

公共图书馆焦虑的调查研究

本文通过对国外图书馆焦虑研究的分析,同时结合本民族实际情况,对公共图书馆进行实地问卷调研,分析了图书馆焦虑的几个障碍因素,如馆员障碍、位置障碍、资源障碍、情感障碍和图书馆舒适度等,并对每一项因素进行分析,提出了解决办法。     

Divide to connect: Reorganization through R&D unit spinout as linking context of intra-corporate networks

The paper examines the formation of clique-spanning ties in intra-corporate co-invention networks, by focusing on the impact of R&D unit spinouts. Using data on thirty-one spinouts in eight large U.S. information and communication technology corporations, we show that the reorganization of R&D units through corporate spinouts is associated with an increase in the extent to which inventors employed in the unit collaborate with inventors located in other cliques within the corporate co-invention network. Interestingly, the spinout effect spills over to all members of the clique of spun-out inventors, also including those who remain with the parent firm. The interpretation of these empirical findings, grounded on existing theories and on the views of inventors and executives involved in the reorganization events, suggests that corporate spinouts generate a shock in intra-corporate research collaboration dynamics, which loosens clique lock-in effects and contributes to reset cliques’ boundaries in the intra-corporate research network.

在总结知识发酵理论的基础上,构建校企合作技术创新的知识发酵模型,并对模型的构成要素及其相互关系进行分析;进而将校企合作技术创新过程划分为确定知识菌种、建立合作技术创新组织等5个阶段,剖析校企合作技术创新的过程机理,从知识酶反应角度建立校企合作技术创新反应方程,直观体现校企合作技术创新的协同创新机理。

介绍了职业倦怠的概念，从高校图书馆员的职业特点出发，探索其职业倦怠的表现形式和成因，提出了远离职业倦怠的有效途径。参考文献5。     

基于ERGM模型的技术合作网络结构效应研究

虽然结构嵌入在技术合作过程中的重要性已受到学者重视,但仅停留在结构特征统计描述层面,并不足以揭示技术合作背后的因果机制。从网络视角,将技术合作影响因素划分为内生和外生两方面,通过ERGM模型,重点考察不同结构嵌入效应,以揭示技术合作网络生成机制。基于石墨烯领域合作专利的实证研究发现：技术合作倾向于嵌入闭合三角结构,而非星型结构、2-路径,说明闭合性是技术合作网络形成的关键内生机制;外生性因素方面,表现出强烈的地理同配倾向。研究结果说明网络结构是技术合作关系社会化特征的反映,技术合作是内生、外生因素交织结果。     

现代远程教育质量观的哲学思考

随着现代远程教育的发展,电大开放教育进入一个较为成熟的发展时期,需要更为理性的解决规模数量和质量效益之间的关系,只有不断提高和确保质量才能使电大具有健康可持续发展的生命力。从科学发展观视角进行分析,只有首先解决质量观的转变才能解决好存在的矛盾,使系统运作沿着内涵式发展道路迈进。     

新时代思想政治教育“双创”平台建设的对策--以江西省高校为例

“双创”人才是实现科技兴国的基石,如何推进高校“双创”平台建设仍是重中之重。根据江西省高校“双创”平台建设状况,将“双创”人才培养与江西省经济发展相结合,从专业制定、课程制定,以及人才目标制定三方面完善高校“双创”人才培养模式,并通过大数据的信息化思想政治教育平台与高校“双创”平台融合协同,从而改善江西省创新创业环境建设,以利于提高江西省高校“双创”教育水平,为我国提供更多高素质的创新型人才。     

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning: Theory–Practice Integration in a Faculty Certificate Program

There is growing recognition of the complexity of academic work and the need for university and college faculty members to develop scholarly approaches to teaching and learning. While structured programs of study have been initiated for faculty to address these issues in various higher education contexts, very little research has investigated the theory–practice relationship of the scholarship of teaching and learning within a faculty certificate program context. This article presents a program development and evaluation framework to enhance the theory–practice integration of the scholarship of teaching and learning in such a program. Data suggest that a broad range of institutional and programmatic strategies can enhance the scholarship of teaching and learning in a faculty certificate program. A scholarly approach to teaching and learning is viewed as both an individual and social contextual process.Dr Harry Hubball and Dr Helen Burt are faculty members at the University of British Columbia, BC, Canada. Harry Hubball's research focuses on curriculum and pedagogy in university settings. He coordinates the UBC Faculty Certificate Program on Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. Helen Burt is the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her research interests include the development of novel polymer-based drug delivery systems.     

军队院校体育教员现状分析

采用问卷调查的方法,从总体综合的角度对我军学历教育院校军体教员的来源、职称、学历、科研状况和接受继续教育的情况进行了调查和分析,在此基础上,研究与探讨了有利于学历教育院校军体教员队伍建设的发展对策。
