中国西部农村地区初中生英语口语教学策略研究

我国西部农村由于学生受地域经济条件和地方语言的影响,口语能力教学亟待加强。随着新课程改革的进一步深入,中考英语口语测试制度的改革,新的教育理念要求我们在培养学生听、读、写技能的同时要加强学生口语能力的培养,强调学以致用。英语口语教学的重要性已日趋显现。然而,在实际的口语教学中我们却存在着很多的问题,如受考试指挥棒的影响,师生对口语普遍不够重视;大部分初中学生缺乏自信、害怕说错、羞于开口;学生在朗读、对话时语音、语调不准确不地道等。如何解决这些问题,如何进行有效的口语教学从而提高学生的英语口语能力,是我们每一位英语老师值得去深思的问题。     

Comparing performance: a cross-national investigation into the teaching of mathematics in primary classrooms in England and China

This article presents initial findings from an empirical study of the effectiveness of mathematics teaching (EMT). The article explores the teaching of mathematics in two very different contexts: England and China. Within each country, the target cohort of pupils were those aged 9–10 and overall, 19 teachers, 10 from England and nine from China, participated in the study together with their pupils (n = 562). Two internationally validated instruments were used to collect the data and teacher behaviours were also measured systematically. In addition, structured observation was undertaken in classrooms in both countries. The results show that, on average, Chinese teachers scored higher on effective teaching measures and Chinese pupils outscored their English peers in the tests that were part of the study. This research project is currently collecting qualitative data but its findings, to date, reinforce the findings from previous research studies suggesting that certain teacher behaviours and classroom factors work effectively to improve student learning outcomes.     

The effects of a short-term professional development program on physical education teachers’ behaviour and students’ engagement in learning

This study examined the effect of a short-term training programme οn in-service physical education teachers’ behaviour and students’ engagement in learning. Teachers (n = 32) were randomly divided into an experimental and a control group. Each teacher’s behaviour was observed in six lessons; two for each measurement (pre, post and retention) and analysed with qualitative dimensions of lesson introduction, task presentations and lesson closure. Student engagement was analysed with the time analysis form. The total and successful attempts of selected students were also recorded. The experimental group attended a two-hour lecture followed by a two-hour practicum, and showed significant improvement and learning of all the examined behaviours as well as significantly higher performance than the control group. Also, students of the experimental teacher group presented significantly greater activity time, more practice attempts and more successful ones than their peers in the control group. The results establish the effect of the training programme on teacher behaviour and student engagement in learning.

浅议初中科学概念教学的有效性

科学概念是中学科学教学的重中之重,也是初中学生学习中容易被忽视的知识点。由于现有考试题型等原因导致很多学生乃至部分老师也对科学中的各种概念有不同程度的忽略,再是科学概念本身的性质,使得概念的教学变得枯燥乏味,缺乏成效,学生学习也障碍重重。因此教师应改变科学概念的教学方法,提高概念教学的有效性。

提高初中思想品德教学实效性的有效策略

初中学生正处于青春期,叛逆心比较强,对事物的认知能力不健全,很容易受外在因素的影响,在日常生活中做出一些不理智的行为,因此,加强对初中学生思想品德的有效教育有十分重要的意义。思想品德课程能帮助初中学生树立正确的人生观、价值观,对学生的全面发展有很大的作用,学校要采取合理的策略,有效提高初中思想品德教学的实效性,从而促进学生身心健康发展。     

地方综合性大学优化学术资源配置的功效性研究
