后形而上学视域中理查德·罗蒂的小说伦理

"伦理学"已成为后现代哲学的关键词之一,哲学领域中的"伦理学的文学转向"不仅促使当代哲人重新审视伦理学与文学的联系,也促成了文学批评的"伦理转向"。美国最有影响力的哲学家、思想家、反讽哲人理查德·罗蒂在其后形而上学思想中阐明:小说是批判形而上学本质主义与基础主义的有力武器。在公共维度,小说作为社会民主的典型文体,能够有力地揭示人类的残酷之首恶。同时,小说的阅读在为人们提供认识自我和描述自我的新可能性以及激发人类对美好生活的想象上,发挥着关键作用。小说阅读有利于走出自我中心主义,帮助人们认识到生活方式的多样性以及自我和语言的偶然性,在这种意义上,罗蒂倡导小说伦理,并强调小说阅读是当代德性教育和心智教化的最佳方式。     

Should science educators deal with the science/religion issue?

I begin by examining the natures of science and religion before looking at the ways in which they relate to one another. I then look at a number of case studies that centre on the relationships between science and religion, including attempts to find mechanisms for divine action in quantum theory and chaos theory, creationism, genetic engineering and the writings of Richard Dawkins. Finally, I consider some of the pedagogical issues that would need to be considered if the science/religion issue is to be addressed in the classroom. I conclude that there are increasing arguments in favour of science educators teaching about the science/religion issue. The principal reason for this is to help students better to learn science. However, such teaching makes greater demands on science educators than has generally been the case. Certain of these demands are identified and some specific suggestions are made as to how a science educator might deal with the science/religion issue.

本文通过对《理查三世》相关文献的调查研究,做出综述。重点是第二部分,归纳总结了前人对著作的研究成果,大体从史料来源、主题思想和人文主义、人物形象和内心独白以及悲剧色彩等方面进行学习借鉴。通过对前人研究成果的学习,结论部分提出几个可能的研究新方向。     

浅谈舒斯特曼为通俗艺术的美学辩护

通俗艺术往往被看作是与高级艺术相对立的一种艺术形态。艺术与生活紧密相连,当然通俗艺术也不例外,尽管它有着极具潜力的发展前景,但是常常被研究者们忽视,甚至对其不屑一顾或冷嘲热讽。理查德.舒斯特曼从实用主义的改良主义长远目标出发,以客观公允的态度为通俗艺术进行美学上的辩护,使其取得审美的合法性,同时为研究者们提供了研究通俗艺术的崭新的视角,以便更好地完善相对滞后的现代美学理论,恢复美学原本的意义。     

The role of conservation in new contemporary art installations in new contexts: The case of Richard Serra's East–West/West–East in Qatar

In recent years Qatar has invested a significant sum of money on exhibitions of contemporary artists and public art. This paper discusses decision-making processes in the conservation of contemporary artworks installed in newly emerging art markets such as Qatar, where there are no established practices. In 2014, Richard Serra's East–West/West–East, an installation of four vertical plates made of weathering (Corten?) steel, which span one kilometre at heights so as to reach the level of the surrounding gypsum plateaus, was installed in the Brouq Nature Reserve near Zekreet desert, two kilometres from the sea in the western part of Qatar. The artwork is already considered by some a landmark for the isolated area. The plates have started to develop protective corrosion layers, although Corten? is not completely corrosion resistant when located near coastal sites. They have also started to bend and are heavily inscribed by visitors. Conservation of public art is complex, as site-specific artworks are linked with the landscape and defined by the relationships they develop with the public. Art installations of this magnitude demand not only conservation measures but also a management plan. The isolated location, the scale of the artwork, the aggressive environment, and the lack of supervision and monitoring of the area challenge current practices but offer an opportunity to develop methods to preserve art of site-specific art in new environments and diverse audiences. Monitoring will allow a better understanding of the interactions of visitors with the artwork and will shed light on the material's behaviour in this specific environment.

理查·施特劳斯是德奥晚期浪漫主义音乐大师,是创作艺术歌曲这一艺术体裁的重要作曲家之一。《奉献》是他艺术歌曲创作上具有标志性的作品,音乐语言丰富,情感细腻生动,通过调性、音区、和声上的色彩变化,使音乐更富有表现力。从分析作品入手来理解施特劳斯,可以提示演唱者更加注意作品中更深层次的内在意境,从而对演唱施特劳斯的艺术歌曲能起到一个积极的提示作用。

尼克松于1969年春入主白宫后,从美国国家利益出发,采取务实态度,逐渐改变鹰派立场,调整美国对外政策,收缩美国在海外驻军,结束越南战争,在世界上推行缓和外交。1972年2月,尼克松成功访问中华人民共和国以及《上海联合公报》的发表,是中美关系历史性突破,是隔绝走向交流、对抗走向缓和折点。此后,中美建交,两国关系的正常化,不仅对中美两国的发展,而且对世界结构性变化,对世界和平和稳定都具有重要意义和深远影响。

The “Petri” Dish: A Case of Simultaneous Invention in Bacteriology

Richard Julius Petri’s status as inventor of the culture dish that bears his name has been subject to a number of challenges over the years. Both those bacteriologists who claimed self-recognition for the invention, and those to whom it was attributed by their various advocates were all contemporaries of Petri. The evidence assembled here indicates that no single individual—including Petri—ought to be accorded credit for the inception of that shallow, circular, covered culture dish which, it transpires, is a simultaneous invention made by half a dozen bacteriologists active in the mid-1880s and ultimately owes its emergence to the prevailing bacteriological zeitgeist.
