STS教育思想的特点及在《科学·化学》中的渗透

STS教育是科学教育改革中兴起的强调理解科学、技术和社会三者关系的一种新的科学教育思想。其宗旨是普及STS知识,培养具有科学素质的公民,使人们形成一种科学、科技与社会可持续发展的新的价值意识——STS意识。基于小学教师培养的高师《科学·化学》课程改革应当在教材建设和教学实践等方面充分体现和渗透STS教育思想,使其具有时代性和社会功能价值。

科学教育中的STS研究与实践

STS教育是融科技与人文意识为一体的素质教育,现已成为培养科学素养、技术素养必不可少的组成部分。本文通过介绍在科学教育专业中设置STS课程,并结合实际教学工作阐述了在STS教学中的几点做法,最后提出了STS教育实践中的一些问题。     

加拿大中小学STS课程的实践与启示

加拿大是在中小学阶段成功推行STS课程的国家之一。在科学教育的实施过程中,加拿大以培养学生的科学素养为总体目标,明确界定了科学素养的四个基础,并提出以统整性的"科学—技术—社会—环境"(STSE)作为实施STS课程的新方式。在加拿大,萨斯咯彻温省、大不列颠哥伦比亚省在实施STS课程方面较有代表性,其课程设置和实践经验值得借鉴。     

User or student: constructing the subject in Edtech incubator

ABSTRACT

This research focuses on ‘sociotechnical imaginaries’ about education and learning emanating from the Edtech research and development sector. MindCet, the first Edtech incubator in Israel, aims to bring ‘disruptive innovation’ to the educational field, mainly by bringing in tech start-ups with their problem solving culture and practices. This centre acts as an intermediary between techno-business and education. Based on Biesta’s notion of ‘the new language of learning,’ my research shows how the learning imagined and constructed in techno-business production casts the student as a ‘user.’ I will argue that the construction of learners as ‘users,’ not ‘students,’ is crucial to understanding education technology production and discourse. This user-focused understanding of learning has implications for the commodification and depoliticization of education, and is an important factor in neo-liberal educational reforms and venture philanthropy interventions, both globally and locally.     

The curriculum potential of Darwin's Theory of Evolution

Unity and diversity are best reconciled by Darwin's Theory of Evolution. Two major dilemmas related to the study of Evolution are described. The first, concerning pedagogy, can be solved by teaching the topic at an elementary level in the middle school so that the Theory may serve as an advanced oragnizer and returning with in-depth study in the last two years of high school. The second, concerning Faith, is a sensitive issue. Some successful approaches are discussed. The place of Darwin's Theory in the all-elective high school biology curriculum is described as well. The role of the Theory regarding explanations is especially highlighted.     

STS教育观下高中数学课程改革的实施策略

为了进一步深化高中数学课程改革，需要提高课程改革的主体-教师对STS教育观在指导数学课程改革策略方面的认识。     

Creating the valuable: reading as a matter of health and successful parenthood

ABSTRACT

There have been increasing demands to improve Swedish children’s reading habits, triggered by poor PISA results in 2013, and public healthcare has stepped in as a strong reading-promoting actor. Drawing on the emerging field of valuation research in STS, the paper explores the values enacted in health-related information brochures about reading that are distributed to all Swedish parents at various times of their children’s lives. The analysis demonstrates how the lack of reading books is enacted as a public health problem that requires prevention and intervention of public healthcare. Health is thus recruited as a stabilising actor in the process of determining the value and importance of reading and where the problem of non-reading of books becomes a private matter for families to solve. The analysis also shows how instances of health-promoting intentions of doing good can in effect be marginalising by viewing specific people as less valuable.     

我省基础教育师资培养中STS教育调查

对浙江省相关院校问卷调查显示,当前承担基础教育师资培养任务的院校在一定程度上重视了STS教育,但对它的认识还不平衡,师资、教材等问题也比较突出,需要进一步提高对STS教育的认识,并加强教师的知识更新、编写适合的教材等。     

化学教学要渗透STS教育

STS教育是近年来世界各国理科教育改革中形成的,强调以科学、技术和社会相互关系为指导思想而组织实施的科学教育.它注重人的科学素养培养.化学教学中开展STS教育有利于学生知识的获得、科学方法的形成和科学能力的发展,可以提高学生的科学素养,实现人与自然的和谐发展.
