论统计信息失真的原因与对策

统计信息的准确性、及时性、全面性,对一个国家、一个地区的经济运行起到举足轻重的作用,但如今统计信息的真实性令人担忧,造成当前统计信息严重失真的原因是多方面的。根据统计信息失真的原因提出相应的对策措施,提高统计信息的可信度．     

文献借阅史对采选决策的作用

通过对暨南大学图书馆外文图书2001～2004年外借情况的分析,论述文献借阅史有助于采访人员在宏观上对馆藏文献的学科结构、读者层次结构的把握,在微观上有利于对具体文献的取舍,从而建设具有较高利用率的馆藏。

SOCR develops, validates and disseminates two core types of materials - instructional resources and computational libraries.     

Influencing the Probability for Graduation at Four-Year Institutions: A Multi-Model Analysis

The purpose of this study is to identify student and institutional characteristics that influence the probability for graduation. The study delves further into the probability for graduation by examining how far the student deviates from the institutional mean with respect to academics and affordability; this concept is referred to as the “match.” The validity of the matching model is tested using a multivariate analysis with select variables from the Beginning Postsecondary Study: 1996/2001 (BPS:96/01) and the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). Traditional multivariate models examine the importance of both student and institutional characteristics but assume the two are independent of one another. This study is different in that it uses the matching model to examine the relationship between student and institutional characteristics. The results are compared to more frequently used models and show that the relationship between students and their institutions plays an important role in understanding the probability for graduation.

Determinant factors of attitude towards quantitative subjects: Differences between sexes

Nowadays, almost all curricula in the social sciences contain at least one course in statistics, given the importance of this discipline as an analytical tool. This work identifies the latent factors relating to students' motivation and attitude towards statistics, tests their covariance structure for samples of both sexes, and identifies the possible differences between the sexes. Specifically, using a structural equations model the work confirms that the evaluative factors affect the affective factors and the interest variable affects the level of anxiety. The findings obtained using the partial least squares method allow the authors to confirm the proposed relations and validate the model.     

Statistical analyses in the physiology of exercise and kinanthropometry

Research into the physiology of exercise and kinanthropometry is intended to improve our understanding of how the body responds and adapts to exercise. If such studies are to be meaningful, they have to be well designed and analysed. Advances in personal computing have made available statistical analyses that were previously the preserve of elaborate mainframe systems and have increased opportunities for investigation. However, the ease with which analyses can be performed can mask underlying philosophical and epistemological shortcomings. The aim of this review is to examine the use of four techniques that are especially relevant to physiological studies: (1) bivariate correlation and linear and non-linear regression, (2) multiple regression, (3) repeated-measures analysis of variance and (4) multi-level modelling. The importance of adhering to underlying statistical assumptions is emphasized and ways to accommodate violations of these assumptions are identified.     

我国的法学知识引进运动述评（1990-2011）——从翻译域外法学文献的角度看

近20余年（1990-2011）我国的法学知识引进的突出表现是长期持续、大量且系统地翻译城外法学文献。分析显示出,虽然翻译域外法学文献为我国法学理论研究提供了重要的知识资源,但从所引进的著作的作者国籍分布、法系分布以及所属学科等方面看,我国法学知识引进过程亦存在一定程度的偏颇。     

利用Excel VBA实现区域气象观测站故障统计

本文简要介绍了在Excel中VBA程序设计的有关知识,详细分析了如何运用ExcelVBA程序设计功能对区域站传输情况进行故障显示、形成报警信息、到报率统计、清理历史数据以及生成故障统计界面的功能实现方法,最后提出该软件可方便市县业务技术及管理人员快捷、准确、直观地对区域站进行故障统计,在基层气象部门有较广泛的应用推广价值。     

就业率统计偏差的原因探讨

就业率的计算依赖于两个重要指标,一是劳动力资源总量,二是就业人口数。以人口普查资料为基准计算劳动力资源总量比较准确,而由城镇单位劳动统计、工商行政管理对私营企业和个体工商户的行政登记,以及多村就业人员统计三者组成的“三合一”劳动统计得到的就业人口数不准确,存在很多问题,造成就业率统计偏差。     

高校图书馆电子资源使用与用户检索行为统计分析-以ScienceDirect数据库为例

以爱思唯尔(Elsevier)公司的ScienceDirect数据库为例,根据数据库在线统计平台所提供的使用报告的主要指标数据,研究电子资源的利用情况,并结合购买经费对使用绩效进行评价。通过统计重点需求期刊的学科分类和影响因子的分布,了解各学科电子资源的实际需求,进一步分析我校重点需求期刊的学科满足度及利用层面。同时,基于用户的检索行为数据,了解用户在检索过程中的习惯偏好。由此,为图书馆馆藏资源建设提供有针对性的指导意见,同时为信息素养教育的有效开展提供建议。
