Traditional Culture Connotation of the Exercise of Pushing Hand in Taijiquan

The cultural connotaion of the exercise of pushing hand in Tijiquan was explored in terms of philosophy,ethics, medicine, military strategy and tactics, etc. The author thought that the cultural connotation contained in this exercise possesed a historical necessity and agreed with traditional culture in time, carrier and channel. The feature of "overcoming firmness by gentleness" embodied a philosophical connotation1 the strategy of "gaining mastery by strik ing after the opponent has struck" embodied the Confucianist ethics as well as military strategy and tactics.     

论我国现阶段新闻职业道德建设

我国现阶段新闻职业道德主流是好的,但存在着一定的不足。产生这些问题的原因较为复杂,因此亟需对其进行立体化建设。要督促新闻工作者不断学习;严格自律;要制订健全法规,强化社会监督制约机制;建构科学的新闻工作管理体制。

以孔子为代表的儒学思想家们着重强调道德在人类社会生活中的至高地位,而道德的习得必须将道德教化和道德修养融为一体,道德修养是根本.笔者认为,无论是古代文明还是现代文明,修身都是必不可少的.本文拟从历史和现实两个维度来考察修身德育方法的存在依据.     

Protection or Participation?

Children’s status as a particularly vulnerable group in society implies a journalistic obligation to shed light on children’s stories and listen to their perspectives, but their vulnerable position also means they deserve protection from potentially harmful news coverage. Based on a close-reading of two extensively covered news serials concerning irregular migrant children facing deportation, and on in-depth interviews with journalists, editors, and key actors working on behalf of irregular migrant children, the present article sheds light on how journalists balance competing, ethical, professional, and organizational concerns when reporting on issues concerning children. The article shows that while journalists say they are aware of the ethical aspects concerning extensive media exposure of young children, they justify the reporting by foregrounding children as innocent victims of the immigration system and by highlighting the journalistic obligation of shedding light on the wrongdoings of this system. The potential burden of media exposure is relativized as less harmful than the alternative—deportation. Theoretically, the article contributes to the literature on children in the news media, human-interest stories and journalism, and the role of journalism reporting vulnerable groups.     

Responding to Charlie Hebdo

This paper utilizes survey methodology to explore the ethical perspectives of political cartoonists following the Charlie Hebdo shootings. Ethics positions theory is considered. Participants tended to be either situationists, absolutists, or exceptionists. Political ideology was associated with relativism scores. Findings showed that most of the participants (74 percent) reported that they drew a cartoon in response to the shootings. Participants expressed feelings of anger and sadness following the shootings. They reported that they drew cartoons illustrating free speech, cartoonists, pencils and pens, or violence following the shootings.     

论公民道德建设

大学生是中国优秀传统文化的主要继承者,要充分利用儒家"仁爱"精神特有的精神价值和生命力来影响、教育当代大学生,以塑造其高昂的人生格调,培养其有为的人格精神。公民道德是以法治为基础的国民道德,其精神实质是在确认公民的权利和义务的基础上倡导爱国主义和集体主义。社会主义公民道德充分体现了社会主义公民对于职业劳动双重属性的自觉把握,要求实现自为的存在与为他的存在相统一。三个文明同时抓,是保证公民道德教育有效性的根本途径。实施安乐死有利于社会资源的合理分配,有助于尊重患者的生命权利,维护死者家属的利益,有利于医学诊断水平的提高和医生职业责任感的增强。其在一定限度的存在对社会、患者本人及家属都具有一定的积极意义。
