马克思主义中国化方法论的研究现状及述评

马克思主义中国化的方法论指的是推进马克思主义中国化实践进程或深化马克思主义中国化研究的一般方法的总称。近年来,学术界围绕着马克思主义中国化方法论的研究价值以及马克思主义中国化研究的哲学方法论、思想方法论、实践方法论、学科方法论等问题展开研究,取得了较大的成就,深化了马克思主义中国化的理论研究,拓展了马克思主义中国化研究的学科内涵。但学术界的研究也存在较大的局限性,需要我们在今后的研究中不断加以克服和创新。     

User Experiences with Editorial Control in Online Newspaper Comment Fields

This article investigates user experiences with editorial control in online newspaper comment fields following the public backlash against online comments after the 2011 terror attacks in Norway. We analyze data from a survey of online news consumers focusing on experiences and attitudes towards editorial control set against a spectrum between “interventionist” and “noninterventionist” positions. Results indicate that interventionist respondents rate the quality of online comments as poor, whereas noninterventionist respondents have most often experienced being the target of editorial control measures and feel that editorial control has intensified after the terror attacks. We conclude that newspapers should pay attention to the different needs of participants when devising strategies for editorial control. Media professionals should also consider changes to increase the transparency of moderation practices.     

When the Gated Misbehave

This study analyzes online reader comments on top US newspapers’ stories related to former congressman, Anthony Weiner’s, August 2016 sexting scandal. Audience gatekeeping was seen through such discussion themes as gender bias and sexism, political scandals, and sex addiction. The analysis revealed that the majority of reader comments significantly diverged from the news topic, and many comments about US politicians were uncivil. Furthermore, online discussions “drowned out” newspapers’ intended message about Weiner’s inclusion of his toddler son into a sexually explicit selfie. This study argues that online commentary should not be perceived as a dichotomy—a negative or positive development, a contributor or preventer of public discourse—but rather as a continuum of citizen engagement.     

A Place to Protest

The national media converged on Baltimore, Charleston, and Ferguson, Missouri, in 2014 and 2015 to cover protests in response to police violence toward African American males. Although national and local media covered the events and the aftermath, alternative media sought to provide additional viewpoints and spur readers to respond. This study analyzed the practices, content, and public discourse connected to alternative weekly newspapers in Baltimore, Charleston, and St. Louis. The study examined whether the publications reflected ideal roles of alternative media, including representing different viewpoints, using non-traditional methods of content, and providing a space for the public to challenge systems of power and oppression. The authors also studied the online forums associated with all three publications, including each organization’s website and Facebook page, as potential spaces for alternative publics to emerge around a shared interest in collective action. The publications showed some characteristics of the ideal form of alternative media, but most lacked the diverse voices and critical calls to action needed to represent the normative standard. The discourse the news organizations spurred also fell short of the ideal. The forums lacked rational and critical engagement, and commenters largely failed to promote sincere attempts to engage in community conversation.     

How user comments affect news processing and reality perception: Activation and refutation of regional prejudice

An experiment (N?=?177) examined how user-generated comments on a crime news article, which attribute the reported crime to the local residents’ predispositions, affect individuals’ processing of the news and their reality perception. Participants who viewed the regionalism-invoking comments estimated the crime rates of the featured region to be higher than those exposed to regionalism-irrelevant or regionalism-counterbalancing comments, and such effects were more pronounced for those with a stronger regional self-identity. Moreover, those who read regionalism-related comments, either regionalism-invoking or regionalism-counterbalancing, (a) recalled better the locations featured in the focal and the subsequent, yet unrelated, news articles and (b) attributed greater responsibility to news media coverage for the persistence of regionalism, as compared to those who viewed regionalism-irrelevant comments.

对于战国诸子及其著作的思想归属,《汉书·艺文志》做出了明确的划分。后世对此有许多批评。诸子思想本是丰富多彩的,硬性把一个思想家归入某一类,削足适履在所难免。放开看去,诸子思想之间本来就存在着许多融通之处,儒、墨、道、法、名、阴阳诸家思想交互影响,你中有我,我中有你,思想趋同是战国时代百家异趣主旋律中的一个重要音符,纯而又纯、绝对对立的两派思想本来就不存在。从庄子、荀子、韩非子、司马谈直到班固,上古时代的学术批判有认同,有别异,别异的任务重于认同,而别异的主要目的则是为了排斥异己乃至于消灭异己,因此对诸子之间的思想趋同自然不太留心。趋同与异趣并行不悖,这才是战国时代意识形态领域里的真实景象。共同的社会历史性是思想趋同存在的根本原因之所在。
