In a world where technology has become pervasive in our lives, the notion of IT integration in education practice is losing its significance. It is now more appropriate to discuss transforming pedagogy where technology is not considered a tool anymore but part of what we are. To advance this hypothesis, an enterprising, student-directed approach is proposed which embraces problem-solving as activity and computational thinking as knowledge development. In order to test its efficacy, a case study of students developing a 3D virtual space for international collaboration is used to exemplify the transformational pedagogy. From observations of the enactment of heutagogical characteristics and computational thinking, it is argued that we can now teach and learn “in” technology. This modality will come to dominate how technology operates “as” our lives, and become central to what it means to know and learn.  相似文献

Using Leeds City Council in the United Kingdom as a case study, we analyse comparatively the changing role of local journalism in the public communications and engagement strategies of local government. Drawing on over 20 semi-structured interviews with elected politicians, Council strategists, mainstream journalists, and citizen journalists, the article explores perceptions of the mainstream news media's role versus new modes of communication in engaging and communicating with citizens. We evaluate the Council's perceptions of its online and offline practices of engagement with different publics, and focus in particular on their interactions with journalists, the news media, and citizen journalists. The article considers how moves towards digital modes of engagement are changing perceptions of the professional role orientations of journalists in mediating between the Council and the general public.  相似文献

This article investigates innovation in the media business models that some European minority-language news organizations are implementing in these times of economic crisis. It entails a shift in the underlying business and service philosophy which interpellates the community and pleads for a change in their mutual relationship. The research is based on the case studies of two private media companies from the Catalan and Basque language media systems that were experiencing economic and financial difficulties. Conducting inspirational advertising campaigns, the news organizations issued a call for readers and non-readers to make a funding commitment to the project, a pledge to provide new revenues and liaisons, while retaining and enhancing the standard income streams. 为了研究高大空间建筑喷口送风系统的吹风感分布,在大空间实验室中进行了夏季工况的实验测试,得到了喷口高度为4m时人体活动区域温度场、速度场和吹风感的分布.然后,采用计算流体力学的方法对实验工况进行模拟计算.将室内垂直温度和冷吹风感分布的计算结果和实测数据进行对比验证,结果显示吻合良好.在此基础上进行了不同喷口高度处工况的模拟计算,通过分析3个工况下人体活动区域的吹风感和温度,获得了较理想的送风工况.模拟结果显示,喷口高度为5m时吹风感分布较为理想,温度场和速度场较为均匀.  相似文献

The contamination diffusion to the operating room when the door is open was simulated with a computational fluid dynamic (CFD) method,to give the extent of the contamination diffusion.The influence of the door-opening procedure was ignored since the door of the operating room is normally a sliding one.The flow field in the case of the 16 s course of opening the door was simulated.The simulated and the experimental results demonstrate that the extent of the contamination diffusion is around 1.5 m when there is no temperature difference between indoor and outdoor,and there is hardly any contamination diffusion when the temperature difference is 1 ℃.It can be concluded that the positive pressure difference in the operating room lost its function in preventing the contamination when the door is open.That the temperature of corridor is lower than that of operating room contributes to contamination control.Keeping 1 ℃ temperature difference between corridor and operating room and increasing positive pressure and air flow are suggested.It is more secure to set up an anteroom if persons come in or out of the operation room at the course of surgery.  相似文献

This paper discusses the validity of (adaptive) Lagrange generalized plain finite element method (FEM) and plate element method for accurate analysis of acoustic waves in multi-layered piezoelectric structures with tiny interfaces between metal electrodes and surface mounted piezoelectric substrates. We have come to conclusion that the quantitative relationships between the acoustic and electric fields in a piezoelectric structure can be accurately determined through the proposed finite element methods. The higher-order Lagrange FEM proposed for dynamic piezoelectric computation is proved to be very accurate (prescribed relative error 0.02%–0.04%) and a great improvement in convergence accuracy over the higher order Mindlin plate element method for piezoelectric structural analysis due to the assumptions and corrections in the plate theories. The converged Lagrange finite element methods are compared with the plate element methods and the computed results are in good agreement with available exact and experimental data. The adaptive Lagrange finite element methods and a new FEA computer program developed for macro- and micro-scale analyses are reviewed, and recently extended with great potential to high-precision nano-scale analysis in this paper and the similarities between piezoelectric and seismic wave propagations in layered structures and plates are stressed.
